Yea tt is a purple colour, IMO it looks better then Phantom especially on a Sedan where Phantom was more look at me, look at me colour. (I had a Phantom XR6T Ute) It defiantly has more sparkle to it in sunlight but in low light or night it looks flat and can look almost black and I like that. That’s why nearly every photo it looks different anyway I don’t see many Vibe XR6T I don’t think the colour would look anything special in the 1” photo on the back of the brochure. Although I did see another Vibe BF XR6T week in Sydney It’s nice to have a different colour.

The Ute had Unichip, Injectors, CAI+K&N, Cat, Valve springs, heavy ass clutch but I don't think I will go down that road again. Perhaps Edit at some point, but for now I’m just enjoying the ZF and the brake squeak… No worries, as soon as the sun shows it's self again I will snap some pics, the windows get tinted on Thursday so perhaps after then it will look much better.

I have crossed over, not from Expensive Daewoo to Ford as this is my 4th XR. But from Ute to Sedan and manual to Auto, I do miss the Ute (a lot) but the Sedan is also great! And I almost forgot how much better the Sedan's get off the line. Anyway the new T is a BF. ZF 6 Speed Auto Vibe idesign with leather seats, side air bags, sunroof, premium sound with axillary and pre-amp. I must say the ZF is wonderful, EVERYONE has said to me you will miss the manual... pfff! I have had 3 Manual XR's clocked up many k's put up with heavy (and expensive) clutches that shutter, thrust bearings that rattle, and painfully slow with cross shifts. I say what's to miss?

Since the Ford web-page is now showing the new style I would imagine it's in production now so any cars that come out from now on should have the new kit. (Just my opinion)

Thanks for all the feedback. It is strange because 90% of people I have asked have told me to get the manual but what I find strange is 80% XR6T's I see for sale are auto but everyone tells me they would buy a manual but in reality most people must buy XR's in auto. Not that it is a bad thing, just makes it hard to find a manual that's not red....arrr. I have had a red XR6 never again, looks great for the first few years then it fades. :( Will go ute shopping this weekend, hope to be back in one soon.

Hi Everyone. Well I no longer have my 5 Speed BA XR6T, Its gone. :( But good news is I'm currently looking for a new BF XR6T Ute, the hardest part is deciding to get a 6speed auto or the 6speed manual. My heart tells me manual in 13 years driving I have never owned an auto car but I read good things about the ZF box, I have driven a Typhoon with the 6 speed auto and enjoyed it. Although I won’t miss the T5 2-3 gear change I worry I will miss the clutch on a sunny Sunday drive. Anyway here are some pics of my old Ute and hopefully I can post some new photos soon.

Don’t you just admire people who don’t take the time to read posts before they say something stupid and end up looking like an idiot.

I have also shared a very similar experience about 6months ago also on the way to my g/f in my XR6T Ute. This was a yellow Ferrari 360 (I have seen regularly around) handful of spectators because the goose made a little scene by revving his motor and of course you don’t need to draw any more attention to your self when driving a bright yellow Ferrari. I can also say his car sounded great, but this time he was the one playing catch up. After it was clear he was not going to catch me, I backed off and in true wa*ker style he passed me at some ridiculous speed. (what ever helps him sleep)
