Man I thought that I'd clocked up my K's quickly 10,000 since 5 April 2004 Your drivers seat must feel like a personal moulded one by now.

You and your family will be most welcome to come If any one else would like to come it would be a good short day cruise. The next door neighbour is a Expensive Daewoo fan and it would be great to see a heap of T's drivin past his house. I can't hold that against him though as he is a great fabricator and one of the team who will be working on my car. I took him for a spin yesterday and he's still smiling and shakin his head and holding his neck macka

Here's another pic with me by the car when I still had hair Top speed that I took it to was 140mph. It was still pulling but I did'ny have the gonads to keep going with it

Just found some old pics of my first Ford ride way back in 1979. Sh*t that's along time ago Jut a bit of history about the car. Brought it from a guy in Melbourne who had a Phase 3 GTHO. He wrote it off. Bought a good ute body shell and transplanted all the running gear into it except engine don't know what happened to that, C4 auto 9" diff. He also put all the interior items in as well Original wooden stearing wheel, dash and instruments door trims and seats. Motor specs 2V Cleveland motor basically stock from factory. These are the mods that I did to the cars. Changed gearbox to toploader ,Diff 2.9 ratio 4V heads & original Phase 3 Solid lift cam grind, Solid lifters ect Lowered front 2" after these photo's were taken still looking for some of these. What's your thought's guy's what are some of your first Fords with grunt.

Hi geea, I'm making some inquiries with a supplier in the States about rods & pistons. They told me that they can supply rods that are good for 1000hp. Don't know what brand as yet butI do know that they will cost $760 U.S I thinks that's just over $1000 Aus have'nt done the convesion yet. Seems a pretty good price though. Have'nt seen local prices has any one got some local prices? They want me to ring them to discuss further about pistons ect. Just got ot work out time difference. Let me know if your interested freight ect could work out cheaper for morethan 1 order. macka

Brian, Your posts are always good informative reading and I would be interested in your opinion about me trying to feed excess cold air into the engine bay around the motor from the bonnet scoop. The benefit not so much as a performance mod but just to get some cold air around the engine. what's your thought's macka

Yeh turbo06 I will post every thing that I have done including Dyno sheets and lots of pics. I will start a thread as Brian has suggested as soon as I know how. cheers macka

Thank Brian, Will do and would definately be interested in catching up when your in Melbourne. Could someone explain to me how to start the thread and also how to post pics similar to those posted by geea showing the catch cans in Big Micks thread so that you can all see my intake in all it's glory when its completed. Bit of a computer nuff nuff  Thanks macka

Well done on your mods That turbo rush does become addictive. Took a Expensive Daewoo fan for a spin in mine yesterday. Words could'nt express the look on his face it was priceless. All he could say is F k that 's quick. Know he understands why I want more. I see you posted your stock kw 193 I think But did'nt notice your final dyno results Just curious macka

I like to drive the car as it should be driven in the right places and at the right time. And within the law most of the time. Don't use the breaks as hard as some maybe that why I have'nt come across this problem. But I defintaly be upgrading the brakes at some stage, I would like to take it to the track someday and do some advanced driver coarses.
-
Brake shudder WTF  I have'nt had that problem yet and I've just clocked over 10000km. Is this something to look forward too, or should I have it by now. My car is a Dc 2003 build I thought they solved that problem macka
-
I might have to review phase 3 plans already. after reading posts on ECU edit. If it's as good as it sounds, I'll save about $4000 on the motec alone. Man that money will be good to put into some brakes don't you think. Whoooooo neddy

Thanks Guys for the positive feedback. I can't wait either, I lay in bed at night going over and over the design hoping that I have'nt missed anything. I'm hoping also to use it to feed excess cold air into and around the engine bay as well. Will have to wait and see about that one. Don't want to rob the turbo of any air. Although I think there should be plenty for every day driving. The scoop is'nt from the mornington people. I purchased it from GT Performance in Keilor. I think thir website is www.fomoco.com.au They loved the idea and want to add pictures of my car on their site when it's done. Don't worry fellas you will be the first to see it when it's complete. macka

233Kmh in my 1967 XT 351 powered ute on the way to Kerang 1982 with the misses. F$@#*k I lovd that car. Got a pic somewhere 210kmh in my T only backed off because of road condition.
-
Geea, Your more than welcome and for that matter anyone else how would like to come. I'll put on a barby. My wife would love to catch up with your misses again after the wonthaggi cruise. Bring your kids as well there's horses and tennis court they can play with. macka

To my knowledge the 2 things that you can change without breaking warrant are Air filter and exhaust they cannot legally force you to use only these parts from ford. I'm not a lawyer though it's just what I've been told and read. I have done these mods to my car and the mechanics have noticed it and just asked when I had them done. They also said that the ECU would relearn turbo back pressure ect and should actually go better.

I spoke to the ford dealer that I brought my ute from in april about possibley changing over to the mark II. He told me that the price for the Mark II will be the same as current model. but would'nt be able to give as good a trade in price for my ute as he could if I traded on a current model sedan. They will be pretty tight on discount until old stock has gone. He said that for the extra $1500 difference it would be better value to go to the mark II I also asked him about the auto to se if they have made some changes to new model to strenghten he is going to get back to me on Monday.

Geea, No it's not the Castlemaine Rod Shop but your close. It's another local guy that I went to school with. He make parts for all the old rods and exports them to USA. Well I might as well let the cat out of the bag. It does include a bonnet scoop. IN FACT it will be the first XR6Turbo that I'm aware of that will have the SHAKER scoop from the GTHO. And yes it will work it's not for show only, for all you doubters  Force fed cooooold air. If all goes well we might do a kit, depends on response from members Big Mick if you read this post it will also include a catch can. HeHeHe no pun intended you know what we've been talking about. macka
