  1. Just want to answer some of your questions. Hoot the shaker might be a bit high at the front but I wanted it to be level horizontally and it gives it a very aggressive appearance. I don't like the way the one on the XR8 sits pointing downwards. Unfortunately there is very little room between the engine and the shape of bonnet. I've attached the the shaker to the engine because that's the way it should be and I think that the motor will shake or move a little. As the shaker is being used to feed the turbo induction I also have to make room for the piping and Air filter. It does look better in real life that the photos and I'll post some when it's completed and clean and in the sunlight . carty - The colour will be staying matt black as it appeares in the photos and yes it does look good left black. fordboy 1981 Don't know the cost as yet as it's not finished and I have'nt recieved the bill. I post all info when it's complete. It only looks high from a couple of angles. But the more you look at it the more it grows on you. I have asked them to lower it 5mm. Does'nt sound much but there'd not a lot of room to play with. turbo 06. There is a bit of replumbing to be done and we are using as much of the factory stuff as possible to keep cost down. As this is the prototype it will be more expensive than others if people want them I would imagine as you know the first one is always the hardest. I am sure that once I get the car running that there will be ongoing small changes untill I'm completely happy. I personally would have liked it back a little futher, but would have to cut into bonnet subframe and I did'nt want to weaken the bonnet. It's really in the only logical place that it can go. Hope I've answered some of your questions Keep the questions coming I'm only to happy to answer what I can. macka
  2. Have you got any pics of a N/A intake system. As this is a custom made job for the turbo I'm unsure of how it could work Most things are possible for a price macka
  3. Good luck on Saturday and Sunday. I know you'll tame some lions for us. I hope to be joining you and Big Mick in the 11 sec club real soon. The question is who'll get there first. I hope I can catch you's quickly. macka
  4. Cheers Ducatijb, I'll certainly let everyone know who performed the operation.
  5. Have'nt started her yet still some more plumbing to go. Yes it will shake as much as the motor does. When I get it re-tuned I might have to get them to tune it with a rough idle. What do you think
  6. No shots of under the bonnet as yet this is just the first fitment. Will take some shots of all that when it's completed and the car is washed and out in decent light. macka
  7. Thank's Geea, I can't wait to start her up should be able to really hear the turbo wistle. Guess I'll need a re-tune before it runs properly. Be interesting to se the dyno results. macka
  8. Hi Blown BA, Yes ther will be a couple of small brackets but it's mainly attached to the intake cross over macka

  10. Hi Guy's This is not the finished product but just the first fitment to see how everything is going to work. What do you think so far
  11. That's a bit cheaper than the Ford XR6 one, that Ford quoted me $300
  12. Thanks Hoot, I must say that I've had the scoop sitting in the hole trying to get the right angle with the bonnet. But anyway that you look at it I don't think that the photos will do it justice. I'm probably bias but it's going to look awesome. The best part though is that it's the for a purpose and it will do what it's supposed to. feed lovely cold air to that turbo. macka
  13. Chip's that sounds interesting. Can't say that I've noticed them though but I'll will wait on your reseach and maybe cost difference between Ford & Mazda macka

  18. I only got the the fibreglass one for the first protype. Once I'm happy with the design of everything and it works how it should, I'll probably get the metal one. Although after seeing them both the fibreglass one probably looks better Your more than welcome to come and see it. Geea and Big Mick and families are going to come up for a barby. you might join them for a cruise up. Invitation is open to anyone else who's keen to have a look and a day out. Could turn it into a cruise maybe macka
  19. The scoop and bonnet ring and there's also a rubber seal cost $310. I don't know if I'll use the rubber seal at the moment. I want to feed as much cold air around the motor as I can. I'll wait and see after we make the air box and see how everything seals up
