  1. Chips, The turbo still keeps spinning for a short time after you turn the engine of and makes a bearing sound. That sounds normal to me. The miss at idle is more of a concern to me, as it would have nothing to do with the turbo. macka
  2. sorry missed your last post good to see its all done and your happy. macka
  3. cikas, Should only take 5 minutes to remove airbox If you undo the clips and lift the top half of the airbox out of the way you can reach the bottom bolt quite easily with a 8mm socket and extention. nothing hard about that. macka
  4. I'll try and get it done ASAP so you don't do yourself an injury. macka
  5. Good luck and keep us posted on results. macka
  6. Once I've got these things out of the way, I'll be building a larger IC that will be easy to fit and connect to the new piping. Core size of IC will be 300 x 375 x 75 mm macka
  7. macka... hows that progressing.... how long till we can see what you have come up with?? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hopefully by the end of this week. Just finishing my new Shaker design to connect to factory intake first. Then it's just a matter of some welding on the plumbing. Do we want to see polished (Bling) or something else. macka
  8. I have some pipe work on the way as well. macka
  9. I'm lead to believe that, there is a third tune that comes with the Edit designed to run the engine for customers using larger injectors. If you have larger injectors their is no way that you could allow Ford to reflash the PCM as it would overwrite this tune. The car would then run like and they would be all over it trying to get it to run properly. Best thing to do is be up front and tell them what you have done. Come to an agreement that if there is a failure and they can prove that your mods have caused the failure you'll pay. I had the EMS under the dash the Shaker and all it new plumbing larger injectors and IC for all the mechanics and service manager to see. They still replaced the transmittions under warranty. macka
  10. I think that are many people using them that are not having any problems. Maybe another marketing ploy from Nizpro to ensure people only use their products and simply cannot be bothered perservering with stuff they do not sell. I would like to know how much it would cost to have an injector drilled out. Considering its a changover system and it still costs well over $600 I'd say there's plenty of money in it. Which is what business is all about. And most of their R&D would be centered around these injectors knowing that the ohm empedence matches what the PCM is looking for. F6, As far as Nicks tuning of the EMS and how he setup the fuel map. If I could get my stupid old laptop to network with my PC I would show you. macka
  11. The only issues I've had, have been with my trans. The process I followed was to notify my local dealer to book it in for diagnosis and warranty work, then I rang Ford Service to advise them of my issue. They will assign you a person to keep track of your issues. I gave them the name of the dealer who I had taken the car to. Told them of the problem that I want rectified. They then do all the follow up work and keep you informed of progress and to make sure your happy. Worked for me twice now. Could'nt be happier. Both the dealer and Ford service have been great. I don't know what presurre the Ford service guy's put on the dealer but I suspect that knowing big brother is watching has more clout than an individual continually coming back with problems. my 2c worth, hope it helps macka
  12. Some good questions and interesting reading. I don't know if the PCM and the Edit control injector flow using (ms) maybe some kind of calibration map. Dynowog was able to control fuel atomization at low rpm while using the Nizpro modified injectors by altering the (ms). My fuel economy was brillant Interesting to read the difference in the ohms required from the standard injector and the 968's. It was my understanding that the PCM is very particular and sensitive in this area. This may explain why Nizpro were having trouble getting the tune consistant while using Eugenes injectors. When they swapped over to the standard (modified) injectors the PCM was happy again with the ohms. Consistency returned. Eugene has been using his with the Xede and has had no problems. I think Blown BA is using them with as well with no problems. Maybe one of not many advantages of piggybacks over the Edit :spoton: macka
  13. Macka, Do you have one of these tools? or have you seen one working on a falcon? Thanks Mitch <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No I don't have one. I have spoken to the supplier and they say that it will work. It will also run can bus I'm told. macka
  14. I'll say 258 considering your sig says that you have not done the valve springs yet. If you have done the valve springs I'll go for 283. macka
  15. Hi Pretzel, I'm very keen on this and hope this little tool can help you out. http://www.scantool.ca/? Don't know how to connect to display but it already reads most of the sensors your talking about. And it runs directly of the Ford PCM I had other plans for this little tool but have'nt got time at the moment. Let me know what you think. macka
  16. What new shaker tell me more Macka <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I.ve been getting requests from Ford dealers to design one that will connect up to the factory intake. Should be done by Friday all going to plan. macka
  17. Depends on how many holes have been drilled. The injectors I had only had 2 holes on opposite sides drilled out. They will flow enough full for 360 - 400 rwkw. Which would make them slightly larger than the 968's. You can then get the other 2 holes drilled as well if you want more power. They perform well never had a problem with them. I think $650 is a bit steep considering its a change over situation and they only have to cover the cost to have them drilled and freight charges. It not a big job to change them over either. But at $90 an hour it does'nt take long for the total to add up. macka
  18. Well done Macka...new trnny <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And a new Shaker macka
  19. Get my beasty back tomorrow macka
  20. I did'nt but my car from the Castlemaine Dealer but I chose to have my car serviced there in stead of driving to Bendigo for services. They were more than happy to do the services. I rang Brian Dunnes in Bendige about warranty issues and they said, to take the car to the nearest dealer. Does'nt matter where you take it for warranty issues. Ford is a national company, Who ever is closest to you or if you have a prefered dealer they should look after you. The dealer still gets paid for any work they do. macka
  21. LP engines run higher compression ratio is one reason. There are others but what bearing or extra stress they put on the internals. I do not know. But there would be reasons. macka
  22. Steve , While you had it stripped down, I would have put the LP rods in it for future power upgrades. Nice little bit of insurance macka
  23. Mine took 3 days. Seen it on the showroom floor. Just waiting for a home, so I paid a deposit and they took it around the back and started preping it. macka
  24. I agree also Alleged is also another pet hate word of mine that seems to come up all the time. macka
