  1. Very nice result well done macka
  2. Well done Luke, Save some coin for a bigger IC as well as the other little mods and away you go. macka
  3. Nice results George well done macka
  4. OK, MB thanks Dean I opologise, Thought it was a different trans. I'd still like to know what rpm it ws doing on the line macka
  5. Thanks Craig, That clarifies my statement. I have a couple of questions What is he difference in performance and feel of the C16 compared to the original trans? What rpm were you using when you crossed the line? Again well done macka
  6. And your intitled to it. DBOSS, Your intilted to you OP as well. I suggest that you all read my original post again without all the emotional BS that's going on here. There is a message in it that only one person seems to have noticed. I know Craig is'nt doing it to earn my respect, as that is something that I choose to give to people that I consider to have earnt it. totally agree He also gets generous help from obviously very good tuners As I said in my later post. The last time I seen Rumble it was a shell no front seat no back seat and probably a few other tricks. To drop over .5 of a sec off his previous PB, must have been one heavy front seat. That Edit is one hell of a product I'll say it again as I have in all my posts. "WELL DONE CRAIG" macka
  7. Sorry for having an OP and expressing it I don't have a chip on my shoulder. I have congradulated Craig for both of his efforts. If he had of clearly stated his objective the break C&V record and listed what he had removed or added to the car I would'nt have a problem. Nothing was stated and there are a lot of members who most likely think the car was in it full trim. Agree with you there and that is what I have respect for. I would have rather you fitted larger injectors etc raised you power output and had a crack at it that way first. that would be really something to cherish. The comments were made from what I saw 2 weeks ago when you removed rear and front seats and some other things removed. Well done again for both of your efforts. You still have one record to go though. If I remember correctly Nizpro still have the fastest trap speed. Take the back seat out and have a crack at that one. Hope you all feel better now. macka
  8. That's funny. there's nothing left in the car to remove and by the time he fits a roll cage he'll actually be going slower. macka
  9. Before we get on the tall poppy syndrome BS Firstly well done on your acheivement and being the first CAPA Edit fitted car to break into the 10 sec. I sincely hope that they pay you the $800 you are claiming they owe you. Secondly, it's time for a reality check. It's a shame that you had to prositute Rumble so much to acheive the bragging rights. Why do I have this OP. Is it running Edit 100% or Exede Or 50, 50 is it running as a daily driver. In short. No!!! and by your own admission you don't now, which I find hard to believe. Modifications that I seen 2 weeks ago not fitted with Full exhaust system, not fitted with all the seats, good knows what fuel concoction or other tricks. There's no doubt that you are the best "T" driver and possibly have the fastest "T" but I'm sorry Craig, I had more respect for you and your car when it was running 11.5 and improving by 1 tenth of a sec each time with your skill as a driver and knowing that your car was a true daily driver than what you have just acheived with just a shadow of a car. You should have gone 100% Edit and left your car in full street trim to show what Rumble was trully capable of. Bragging Rights to you now instead of APS which is all this is really about. Is'nt it!!! macka
  10. If I was younger and lived in Melb would love to have a crack. Good chance to pick up some handy skills. Good luck finding someone macka
  11. Look forward to seeing your results macka
  12. Yes, I don't see the need to replace something from the factory that has been proven by Nizpro and many others to be capable of producing 300rwkw. Better value would be to put money into larger intercooler or transmittion mods before going to 300rwkw anyway. macka
  13. Trent, I don't really know what happened to my the PCM. Something has triggered it all. Problems with the PCM may have been covered up by the EMS as it basically run the engine without much input from the PCM. Does seem strange though that the Coil fault codes have shown up both while using the the EMS and then after it was removed. It may have contributed to the Trans failures, I just assumed that I was pushing to mush power through it with little or no torque reduction from the PCM. Someone with more knowledge than me maybe able to help with an explaination. At least without the piggybacks any future problems will show up. macka
  14. No problem Aaron, Just a small thing that I have noticed when I had the 2 trans replaced. Both times they cleared to fault codes from the PCM after fitting the transmittions. each time including the last time when they replaced PCM. The WDS showed open coil curcuits faults, even after I has removed the EMS. Maybe something has been wrong with it for some time. I would'nt have known it because since july last year it has had a piggyback connected in one form or another and have had no reason to take the car in except for services. macka
  15. 235 - 240 ish to safely go beyond that you should fit larger injectors and do trans or clutch mods macka
  16. Lets just put it down to happens. Just seems to be happening a lot lately Utes running fine now, time for Edit soon me thinks I miss all of that extra power. macka
  17. Yeh all bad macka
  18. George, The other upside is. With all the down time lately at least my mileage is staying low I think the car has roughly done 3000km since Xmas Grass, your right would have been good to crack it open and have a look see inside. I was'nt expecting Ford to let me have it though. macka
  19. On the way home from Calder on the 13/5/05 engine suddenly dropped 2 cylinders around Kyneton. Booked my car back into the dealer last week, to see if they could sort it out. After a couple of days testing and diagnosing and looking at faults logged by the PCM, they found out that there was no spark at A & C coil packs. After checking wiring to see it there where any dry joints, it was decided that the PCM must have chucked a wobbly. Fitted the newy and all is running sweet again. Ford have asked the dealer to send them the old PCM to see if I had modified it in anyway. I just smiled and said that it's a sealed unit and that you'd be able to see if I'd cracked it open, by all means get them to check it. Has anyone else heard of a PCM being replaced so soon? My CV must be looking good. 4 transmittions 1 PCM macka
  20. What V8_FRD said enjoy your car your in for a treat macka
  21. I'll let you know when I top up and check against distance travelled. macka
  22. Not so good macka
  23. Thanks macka
  24. Yes Eugenes & Bosch 968's are supposed to be nearly identical. The Nizpro injectors I had would have been approximately the same flow rate maybe a little more. Only difference would be the ohm impedience. Nizpro are factory injectors that have been drilled and use 14 ohm. The other 2 types use 12 ohm according to spec sheets. macka
  25. As Blown BA has said my car is stock except for the new plumbing and Herrod exhaust. The pipe from the IC to crossover is 60mm inside dia, compared to factory rubber pipe 50mm inside dia. The plastic pipe replacement from crossover to turbo is 70mm inside dia compared to factory plastic 66mm inside dia. So far the PCM seems to have adapted itself to these changes with no sign of overboost problems etc which I thought may have been an issue. With frosty nights now here all seems to be OK. The larger inside dia pipes seem to have made the car more responsive as well. macka
