  1. Sounds like she's on the way out mate. Been there and done that 3 times and all replaced under warranty. take turbotom's advise and get it upgraded. If your in Melbourne Preston Auto's do all of the above for about $1000 or less depending on what your power level is and what you want done. As far as I have heard. Everyone that has hed them done there are very happy customers. macka
  2. Hi Trough Lolly, Car is just about to click over to 27K. The only go fast bits that are still on the car are the Herrod Exhaust and my Shaker Mods and it has the 19" fusion rims. Everything else is back to stock. I still have the EMS computer which needs to be refitted if you want it. Still has its 300+ rwkw tune in it. I am willing to remove Shaker if it's not wanted just need to repaint a new bonnet. macka
  3. Ooooh no !!! mate. The best part is that you are OK George. If there's anything I can do don't hesitate to give me a call. macka
  4. Hears a pick of my pride and Joy don't know for how much longer though macka
  5. Hi Guy's , I was wondring how long it would take before someone found it No big plans for anything special. It's time prioritize and to move it on. To much money just sitting locked up in the shed 29 days of the month. I was going to place an ad here but there is already plenty on offer and they don't seem to be selling. Just on an outside chance anyone is interested send a PM. cheers macka
  6. Sorry to hear about your problem. My car started running on 4 cyl one day and they finally said the old PCM had thrown a wobbly and had to fit another PCM to fix the problem. Ford wanted the old one to see if I had modified it. I guess they were looking to see if I had the edit loaded. As I have'nt had the edit done I had no problem with it. Hope you remembered to load your stock tune back in just in case. I feel confident that things should work out in your favour. macka
  7. We are talking off the shelf packages are'nt we. Not xr6turbo's with edit against blown or twin turbo LS1's. If we are gonna go to that level maybe Brains car would be a better opponnent. Xr6turbo is still good considering it's giving away 100cub and 300+ kg and a ute. You need a prety good piece of road to wanna take a ute over 210kmh. Gets a bit of adrenalin and other things running if it's not. well done Zoot you've enhanced to rep of the might XRTurbo even more. macka
  8. Nice one matey Feels good when your own ideas and work comes together. does'nt it macka
  9. Well done Dutchie good positive thread. My ute is the best car that I've owned and could'nt be happier. I think when people complain about the car it's mostly dealer problems that they are having not so much the car. I'm still smiling everytime I drive McShaker after 16 months macka
  10. I bet he was surprised to see you still along side of him for so long. Go the might "T" If those specs are right on the Vet its easy to see that the 5th & 6th gears and aero is where he had you. If your car is still a stocky there's, not much difference in Hp stakes between to two. Being a fat arse 1700+ kg ute compared the the weight of the Vet would also be a dis-advantage. One thing in your favour. That's probably as good as it gets for the Vet. Go and get the edit done raise the rev limit and have the speed limiter removed chuck in another 70 odd rwkw and see who's playing catch me if you can then. Well done anyway macka
  11. Drivability is great. You can cruise around all day and you wouldnt know it was modified until you get to 1/2 throttle. The noticeable differnce has been the extra torque which is nice. Fuel consumption has taken a hammering, and not because I am heavy footed. I am averaging 60kms less a tank now. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeh, I found that the idle of the drilled injectors to be fine. Cannot say the same for the stock factory tune and injectors. At least it starts first time though. fuel economy has gone out the door as well compared to the piggybacks I have used, so I'm not surprised I think that is one area that many edit customers are a little dissappointed in. Won't say to much on this other wise ST will be on my back Hope you get it all sorted quickly macka
  12. That's good you'll be even happier with your purchase once it's all sorted. 300 should be well and truely within your reach. How have you found the idleing and drivability of the injectors around town? macka
  13. Hi Luke, Sorry to here you still having some minor power issues. I always thought that you were down on power for some reason. I can tell you that there is nothing wrong with the injectors, should be good for around 350rwkw so I've been told, or valvesprings (new & still in the box). Easiest way as has been stated, just drop the exhaust and cat and you should see an improvement. If I remember JB had wastegae issues also when he first changed to the edit. Might not be the same problem though. I'm sure Rob will get it sorted and you'll be smiling. I just remembered that after I had the injectors fitted Nizpro had a similar issue when I was running the Xede. They removed something off the turbo wastegate and drilled it out. Fixed that problem and went straight up to 10 psi. Might be a good idea to fit that 2nd Cai to help the turbo breath a little easier. Even just cut the 3" hole in the box and fit the intake latter on when you have more time. At least that way you should'nt have to get another re-tune done. macka

    New Record

I'm well thanks mate Look forward to seeing your results with slicks Now that you have had a taste of what the T is capable of I know that you have been a little peeved at times, with the Ford product. Are you still planning to swith over to the dark side. now that there is a proper tuning tool for it. macka

    New Record

Well Done Adam It's taken you longer than you would have liked. But your patients and persistance have been rewarded. When are you going to run slicks? Should be something special in the making then. Congrats again mate macka
  17. Front wheel drive V6. Pffffft looks mac t might as well start the liquidation sale now macka
  18. Only having some fun couldnt resist I thought that would pull the Expensive Daewoo boys chains It's hard to put something down when they are blown'n the LS1 into the weeds I love the sound of a V8 either Ford or Chev as much as anyone. But there's no doubt that, what the T lacks in the way of sound it well and truly makes up for with go. And at the end of the day that's all that counts macka
  19. A custom tuned edit, will fix your problem. macka
  20. Well done So what did you do to resolve the lost power issue? macka
  21. Well Done Ally and Brian For a moment I thought I was on a Expensive Daewoo forum after reading through some of the posts. It all ways makes me laugh at how many Expensive Daewoo supporters come over to this site to see what's happening. Being a staunch Ford supported I would'nt even bother looking at their forum. After the dyno day the Ls1 boys, should drop 2 cylinders as they are obviously redundant. 6 good ones will do the job better. OH!!! and their oil consumption would drop by 1/4 as well. macka
  22. Sorry to hear what has happened. Glad to see your OK These cars are quite easy to lose control of in the wet once you raise the boost and power. At least the insurance mob has come to the party Might be a good idea for all the edit men to load the stock tune back in when its raining and your travelling to work just to be on the safe side. I hate looking at broken "T's" macka
  23. I have 19" Nankangs on my car. I like them macka
  24. I wonder how long it will take for the other states to jump on board. All I can say is I'm glad that I'm not on P's. It like a bad hair day, these pollies are slowely but surely erroding away our freedome of choice. I agree something has to be done. It's called education. My son has just turned 17 and finally decided to get his L plates. I'm in the progress of building him a Nissan with CA18det engine. I will also be paying for him to do an advanced driver training course as well. I've let him drive my T around and he fully understands the capabilities of these cars and drives it with the respect it deserves. Even though the little Nissan won't be punching out the same grunt as the T he will be gaining experience and the grounding of safe reponsible driving of a high performance car, which should hold him in good stead for his own car when it's ready. I might be doing this wrong by letting him drive my T and gaining the experience and respect of powerful cars, I hope not. Time will tell. At the end of the day there is only so much that you can do. It has to come back to educating them properly about respect for the other drivers and passangers and the cars around them. Before we all go down the path of placing more restrictions on people, ask yourselves. If someone is accidentally shot while handing a gun? Who or what is to blame? The gun or the person who showed him how to handle it. macka
