  1. Good results guy's. well done to Nick as well. You can now appreciate what Pretzel and myself have known and said for a while now. Don't want tp start anything but, you really should'nt post those sorts of power figures will still using standard injectors unless you have your flame suits on. They will hunt you down and shoot you know. He is one fine tuner and I bet you love the low down torque he is able to achieve macka
  2. Good to see another convert fom the darkside What type of XR6turbo are you looking for? Sedan or Ute welcome to the site macka
  3. Sorry to hear your pride and joy has been damaged. I know how much you love your car. Cheer up mate the damage could have been far worse. still hurts though macka
  4. I'm with you on that one. Heaven help the bas*ard(s) if I caught someone doing that to my "T" and anyone else's for that matter macka
  5. looks good Adam How much? macka
  6. What you got an itching to be a redneck have you! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, I think it's time they had some new genes to add to the blood lines. macka
  7. Mate try what Zap has recommended. As far as a software firewall I use Micro Tend internet security. I have not had any problem with it and has free updates. Might cost to purchase first up but I find it works great. macka
  8. Looks like I might be moving to sunny QLD macka
  9. Mate what can I say. There are some real pricks about. I would get another quote. I had my passanger door repaired and completely resprayed and refitted for $400. Might cost a little more to colour match the Envy colour I dont know I'm not a panel beater. That reminds me I must catch up to the fat one that did the damage before I leave, he said he would pay to get it repaired but has'nt coughed up yet or even contacted me. He knows I've had it fixed for months now as well. macka
  10. I had the same idea about 8 months ago. I decided against it because it was a lot of money to pay for that S/C sound. If I had that wheel barrow of cash, I'd still do it though, just because I could. If that;s what you want, then go for it I say macka
  11. That's the way mate leave that BS to the ricers macka
  12. I dunno All this ET and mph and rwkw still confuses the crap out of me. But if I had to make a choice I'd have to say no. Just because it stands out so much compared to the other times slips which are consistant. A second is a big improvement without know the mph macka
  13. CAPA make kits for them. You can buy a new xr6turbo long motor cheaper than the kits I've seen. New Motor = $5200 + Edit with boost maps = $6500 Or check the auto salvage joints. Plenty of T's being pranged so should'nt be to hard to find a low km second hand one. Last time I looked at the CAPA site S/C started around the $7000 then you would need the Edit to make it work properly. $8300. plus fitting and custom tune You can buy some pretty good mods for $2000 if you shop around. macka
  14. Top stuff mate It would be nice to see a 9 with the stock turbo before you change it. When do you plan to run NOS? macka
  15. Looks very nice indeed George have fun with it mate. Does Paris still go for a ride in it with you. macka
  16. Just drive it like you hate it. works for most ppl. Seriously though. Just drive it the way you intend to drive it. After about 500 km they are basically as good as they are going to get as far as bedding in. It will take approx 7000 km to really start freeing up anyway. Should use a small amount of oil which they top at 3000 km and then that's it. macka
  17. I purchased mine from tempe tyres and they are very good to deal with. Look forward to seeing what you've brought macka

    Xr6t Prices

Nice one Trough Lolly, I like your colour choice Pics pls macka
  19. I thought that the Turbo and N/A engine were exactly the same only lower compresion. Seeing as though you going to completely rebuild the engine whats the difference. I can only think of one possibility I know the turbo engine has a girdle but I'm not sure about the N/A engine other than that they are identical. Maybe some Ford workers can confirm. Considering you pay approx $1800 for a short motor I would have thought $2500 incl PCM was a pretty good price for a complete engine. good luck with your hunting look forward to seeing your results macka
  20. True, Unfortunately, once we lift the power output above 240 kw you are already outside manufactures limits. If you were'nt so far away, I'd like join you for a cold one macka
  21. Hi JZ, I know a bloke that had a complete Barra engine non turbo. He only wanted $2600 (Aus) as far as I know he still has it. Only travelled 3000km. Don't know how much it would cost to ship to the US though. If you interested I can find out if he still has it. macka
  22. why would you want to spend that much? I cannot believe why people still get suckered when there is so much info and options available now. macka
  23. Just keep on their hammer until they fix it. good luck macka
  24. Hey George, glad to hear your out and about looking for a newy. Vibe or manderin are my choose of colour hope you are taking Paris to your new T macka

    Cams?

From my understanding. Unless you are chasing well over 400 rwkw there is no need. Stock one's work fine. macka
