    Silver Tt

    This one by any chance, he lives up that way. Username is allypally but I don't think he is on this forum. Try AFF instead
  2. No Territory's are sh*thouse my friend
  3. What SR version of the Territory Turbo ?
  4. The standard Goodyears are load rated at 102 (850kg each) and so wheels need to be as well. All the 275/40/20's I have seen have a 106 (950kg) load rating so are more than adequate but you need to choose wheels with this in mind.
  5. 'senna_T' has told you just about everything you need to know but be aware that the DSC is calibrated to the exact wheel & tyre combo as it comes from the factory. Taking into consideration not only tyre diameter but also profile and slip rate and other high-end factors not usually thought about by the average punter. FPVs Terra, the F6-X, has the exact same size wheel and tyre as the TT and TTG for that very reason. FPV couldn't afford the extra coin to recalibrate the DSC for another combo. Having said all that a Terra DSC system with 20's or 22's will probably still be better than what ToyMotor fit to the Klugers, have you read the Wheels article where they rolled one as the DSC didn't activate :(
  6. 5 x 120mm is a metric (Commodore) size so I don't understand how it would by old skool. Falcons have always been 5 x 4.5" (114.3mm), only the centre bore size and offset have changed. That offset (+ve 36.5mm) is correct for the standard Territory 7.5" wide wheels (all the 17" & 18" ones from the factory)
  7. Great link. Lots of good info there. Thanks
  8. They are 22"'s wearing 265/30/22 tyres, a PLUS 5 size :D
  9. I've changed mine (Territory is the same as Falcon) The Ford literature says to disconnect the battery and allow at least 1 minute for the back-up battery to die down. I left mine for 1/2 hour and there was no drama . Good luck
  10. So why don't they unveil the road car at the Sydney Motor Show in October this year, even if it's only the exterior and it's up on a rotating pedestal and you can't get all touchy feely with it. Then reveil it in full at the Melbourne show in late Feb/March, selling it from say April or thereabouts and be out there and racing the damn thing for the full 08 season. The Territory was reveiled in the same way as described back in 2003/04 and didn't go on sale until May of 2004 but by then everyone had seen what it would look like.
  11. I don't this that will work, especially if you've got AWD. The lower part of the Terri strut is split to run either side of the front drive shaft. You guys want pics of dumped Territorys, how about this one;
  12. Not so Orrie. You seem to have acknowledged that different tyre sizes need to be considered but then not taken them into consideration in your calcs. The XR6T final drive ratio is 2.73 and for the Terri Turbo 3.46 A quick divsion gives 1.267 and I assume this is where the "...about 25%..." comes from. Correct if the two cars had the same size tyres. The XR6T has 235/45/17 (calculated dia. of 643.3mm) The Territory has 235/55/18 (calculated dia. of 737.7mm) This time a division gives 0.872 and thus the larger tyre only needs to spin 87% as fast as the smaller tyre to cover the same ground. The net difference is 1.267 x 0.872 = 1.10 or in other words the Territory engine will be spinning only 10% faster for a given speed in top gear.
  13. Hmmm, let me see Bigger population - No. What we have is probably not sustainable and the world would be a much better place with much less people in it, not more. De Salination - No. Not needed with a sensible sustainable population and the realisation that we do live in the driest populated country in the world not a southern hemisphere verison of Britian or the US. Think for ouselves - All for that. Get Nukes - Hell no. What does that do for us other than get some pointed our way waiting for some crazy to push the button. Canada as a role modele, what about NZ. They seem to be able to do their own thing and not get involved with US hostilities and they don't have a larger population or nukes. As for the flag and the republic. IMHO the republic is long overdue and I don't want another countries flag (or any other minority group) displayed in the corner of our flag. The current one clearly does not represent everyone that calls themselves Australian and does not necessarily reflect their history. The ideal time for these changes and to showcase to the world our new flag was the 2000 Olympics. An opportunity lost. That being said too much patriotism is a bad thing. We need to start thinking globaly not nationally. There is only one planet and it's just about stuffed.
  14. Mel, If keeping it legal and insured is important to you also pay particlular attention to the load rating of any wheels and tyres you choose as well. Territory's require load index 102 (850kg) Not always easy to find.
  15. Now that's gunna look real nice. Can't wait to see the photo's
