Hi Craig, it was in Nov when I ran that time, it was about 30 degrees, and 80 % humidity, so it had nothing going for it. ithink what has happened is not many have ran that lower power on nitto's, with that bigger stall, so it gets the comple use of all that touque the xr6 makes. my brother has a GT BA, with cold air and edit, it shwed 240rkw, but felt very slow next to mine, all that touque again. The heat up here is the reason I have waited so long to run again. any way I am going to have a go at the 11, I know it is a fair bit faster now, but if it does not make it . (more modes on the way. Cheers

I tried to take a photo of it but cannot see it very well. I will see if I can get someone to scan it for me tomorow. but if you want to believe what I say, it was 1.84 60ft. 5.263 330. 8.123,660. @85.69. 10.597, 1000ft. et12.687@107.87. for what it is worth.

Geea, I hope I did not offend you with my comments yesterday, I did not mean to, It is just since I joined here, I have not herd such negitive comments from you before. I might have read it wrong. I was just saying to lochlen, when he tuned my car to 273.6rkw that I had never herd you give neg comments. he allso tuned it when it was 240 rkw. it has got bigger injectors, I got them from lochlen, about the stall, it would be best to have a talk to lochlen for proof of that I think he thouht it was pretty big,no limp. no edit. as for 12.6 @ 107 mph , it is possible to pull 12.6 at 104 mph, in a well set up car, I will fax my time sheet to you if you give me a fax number, I am not able to scan, I have folowed your info from when I first joined, and owe most of my improvements to you, thanks for that. I would like to meet you and have a chat sometime, maybe at willowbank some time. As for the temp, the dyno compensates for this and balances the power figures, so the only loss on the dyno up here, is the extra restriction in the inlet. this is in shootout and the idea of it is so that everywhere can compare figures. hope this settles your doubts. thankyou for listening, we can all learn from each other. ps Craig I was not being smart at your accomplishments, I wanted to know your thoughts on what I said about to much power on street tires, that's all. I felt you must have had a very smooth power dilivery to run that time 11.9. sorry if I offended.

sounds good , looks good to.

fpvt6, the other thing that is worth thinking about is detuning your cars power up to about 4000rpm, just abit, it is not used threw the gears, but makes it alot easier to launch, sometimes less is more. I also think this is one of the reasons Geea's first car went so well, (maybe a bit of abilityas well) on dunlops. I would like to see what Craig thinks of this idea, and if he thinks he could match his old 11.9 time with his big power setting.

I might be wrong then, but that is what I was told by auto shop, and they were right with mine, sorry if I am wrong.

It is true on standed tyres a 2500 is plenty, and you will get a better takeoff then standed, with nitto's the 3000 stall rocks, because you don't have to load your suspenion up so you get the full advantage of the good suspenion and weight of the car, I have had mine in for 6 months, and it has not gone into limp mode. and if I stall it up on boost, on the brakes, it will stretch it to 4500 . still no limp mode.
-
Xdreaming the xr6t does not go into limp mode with stall. xr8's , and GT's , and non turbo xr6's will. I think it is because the xr6t does not lock up like the other ones, it has the solinoid in it but the computer does not lock it.

My stall is good, it is too big if I am on the street with out the nitto's , but good driving and you can still get a quick take off, it doubles the touque down low. very easy to pull 1.8's 60ft on drag strip. ( with nitto's). driving around town it rev's up abit , because it stays in higher gear , under light load, but I like it and it has power like a big block any time, if I drive it in manual mode, you don't even notice it , untill you put your foot down, and it made the hit from the higher preasures I have put in the auto a lot smoother. I think an auto with just stage 1 will pull 12's with nitto's, and 3000 stall. hope this helps.

Hi, I just got my xr6t's power lifted on the weekend, I have put a PWR cooler on since last tune, my car has standed exhaust, injecters, and exede, (the cat flows free ) and it pulled 273.6rkw, in north QLD, inlet temp in air box was 36 degrees, out side temp was about 31degrees, I ran 12.6 @107 with 240 rkw, so when I go to the drags next month I hope to run a high 11. I know I am pushing my luck, but I have a 3000 stall and I ran a 1.8 60 ft last time, so if I can dip into the 1.7's I think it will be close. I think it will be the first T into the 11's in NQ. is that right , I would like to talk anyone that has, up here if I am wrong, ( just had to tell someone)

Well done jeff .

Well done, that's a nice boost line and good power, have you got a AFR graph,
-
that's awsome, well done Geea.

Hi Macka, good luck with the drags, has your line preassures in the auto been wound up. It would only take auto shop an hour to do, but it will save the auto and you can get it wound down after if you want, two full turns should be enough. Have a go yourself aswell its alot of fun. Come on 11s. Should see if Geea would throw his nittos on for his run. Good luck again. David

Geea I ran my xr6 at mackay on last sat night, it was about 30 degres, and about 90 % humidity, I ran nitto's , I have a 3000 stall, and 240 rear kws. it ran 12.68 @ 107.8 1.84 60ft I heated them up and could not make them spin, I feel I could get a 1.7 60ft with the nitto's. I can see your times tumbling.

Thanks Geea, its tuned for 95 octane, by bob hawkins, Townsville, it has exede, inj, fuel pump, 252 kw, 11psi. it had the gen 3's scratching there heads, the best of them ran 13.5, edit, exhuasts, intake, low gearing, and street slicks. I had nittos there but did not use them, I was happy with the time and it looked more impressive on the old Dunlops.

I ran my xr6t at mackay ( NQ) on Sat 21st, Drag strip. 12.76 @ 111.7mph, on standed street tyres, 2.09 60ft. is there any other xr6t's running 12 sec up here.

Sorry about that, I was trying to download something, Quartermile runs on Gtech Comp. I am not sure how, stuffed up.

Basher-tsv, seen your ute in tsv the other week, could tell by the aps pipes out the back, looks good. I am going to mackay drags, 14th aug, if you wanted to make the trip, I have got myself a set of Nitto street drag tyres I am going to try. your welcome to try them as well. David PS, Turbo6 I was not joking about the sandbag it does give the car a lot more grip, I went from a 13.6 to a 13.1 in a xy 351 just from the extra grip.
-
Turbo6 it might be a good idea if you take a sandbag along with you, I have tried it in an older ute and it helped me. David

Hi peter, Congrats on the power your getting out of a standed internal engine. Understanding this engine is blueprinted, to get rid of oem tolrence problems, what level of power do you expect to get out of it. or is that the limit, even under controlled inviroment. (sorry if im butting in ).
