  1. Kents ute ran a 10.10 at 138.9 mph, last night to, he might not have got his nine, but that was a big improvement, and with the weight of that car, with all the junk his got on it must be about 4300lbs, it takes a lot of power, and a lot of getting it to hook up enough. so well done to you Kent. David
  2. thanks for posting that mick, and thanks a lot for the help at the track, and help getting it ready to be able to run, your a good mate. David
  3. yeh they said it had a wheel in the air for a bit. cool hah. David
  4. got a new pb for my car tonight 9.79 @140.4mph 1.39 60ft driven to the track and back atomic bottom end Process west stage 3 race kit. c16 fuel and slicks. David
  5. yeh that was 6boost, one off his kits on it, but running on e85, he reconds it turns it into an animal. 6 speed auto still, 1.60 60ft David
  6. is it a bf 1 or 2 ? f6 motor ? this thing was right in front of me b4 I took my run !! it took off like a farkin sling shot !!!! love what he done with the 17 inch wheels !! 1.63 60ft, yeh I have not seen them, but he got the standed ones machined in two and got them widened or something didn't he? I think BF1, but they have the good motors to, only some of the early ones got the week BA motor. David
  7. What power was the car running? I tuned it about a year ago, I think it made 521hp at the wheels, he ran it 6months ago with his low tune, and it ran 11.2@127mph, the tyres he runs on his car every day is toyo 888's, but I think since the winters down there, that track is like glue. he has the same mod to the exhaust housing as you Brian, but on the standed exhaust manifold, stock front housing, the turbine must lift the mph a fair bit. and it is a custom made 31/2 inch exhaust. David
  8. yes zf stock BF motor, he got the zf built, but he is not as happy as he was when it was stock. David
  9. yeh it is but it was a good drive by him that got it there, alot of these cars can run that, but doing it has turned out hard to do.
  10. just a quick congrats to John, I don't know how often he is on here, but he ran his car at the drags in Brisbane last night, it was full wieght, still the standed size turbo, (even spare in the boot) pump fuel, and the tyres he drives on all day every day, (Toyo's) BF auto, first run 10.83 at 129.9mph then was kicked off before he was able to better it, David
  11. yes good drive Lee,well done, it was a 1.66 60ft. MT street radials. "being the first can not be taken off you". David
  12. buy a second hand turbo kit off a turbo car, there are heaps around, you will pick up it all for around $2500.00, and will out power them kits from 1800rpm and flog them from then on, and can look as stock as a normal turbo car, David
  13. Gap the plugs to .65 and she will be sweet. David
  14. Well done guy's, good to see you all having fun. David
  15. did you try your standed tailshaft?
  16. Still good times, is traction letting it down? close to winters is normaly the best. David
  17. How did Bogan and the FG F6 of pauls go last night? David
  18. Well done boy's, good to keep getting PB's each time you go out. How did Bogan go in the FG F6 of Pauls? David
  19. Bretts car is a non intercooled Ken Bell equiped BF GT Auto, with water injection, I tuned it a while ago now, but he has since put a nos kit on it, as well on top of the tune (said he checked it and everything is sweet, so we will see) he said he used a 50 jet I don't know how they count there jets, (someone else might know) but he thought it was about 30-40 shot. he is now going to pull it off, and fit a intercooled manifold on it so it can run this power all the time, insted of running the gas to cool things down, he used slicks, and front runners. David
  20. yeh your not comparing apples with apples, a BF makes more power, and its gearbox in auto is way more efficient, to compare you would remove 25-30kws from yours. your car at 15psi and making 310 was right, but if it was making 250 at 15psi it was done wrong.
  21. yes there is more to it then I made it sound, but some figures are just unrealistic that is all , the main prob with his car is it does not make 15psi at peak power the best way to tune is the most timing for each boost level that is safe, 18 psi making 300 kws is not the way to do it. David
  22. she did not blow at 440rwk, it had about 480rwks when she poped, I beleive it was the piston that went first but that is only my opinion. I still think 360rwks on man BA, on auto 340 pump fuel is ok but if something goes wrong, (leans out because of fuel, or bad tank of fuel), and it will distroy its self real quick. David
  23. your power should peak where you drop down to 13.5psi so that why it only made 290, even though it got back up to14.5psi it will not recover, fix the boost line up and she would make 320rwks, which if it is a BA 4speed auto, your power will not be far off the mark most 12psi cars go like 12psi cars even if they think they have 380kws or not. ( there is a bit for efficient intercoolers and turbo's though too) so I would be asking why it drops off to 13.5 psi at peak power if I was you. David
