the car will be way nicer around town with these mods, they feel lively, fuel around town will be the same when sensible driving, you will only get about 11lt per 100 on the highway, 100klmph. if you sit on high speed, like 140-150k's, it will feel to low geared, but the stall will feal better then stock and for the first time you will be able to thrash most cars on the street. Blue power, air box, is what I like the most, pm me where you are from and I can tell you who I honestly feal will do the best tune in that area. David
-
you will need, , headers, big exhaust, metel cats, Bluepower air box, 4.11 diff gears, 3000 stall, and a good tune, this will run high 12's. this will run 12's on your standed street tyres. David

How you going Groper? should be time to have some fun in it, Justin is coming down from cains this week, I think he wants to pip your kws, although it is an auto so he will be pushing it. should make some good power. David
-
it fits the 5 speed to. David
-
I must admit, I was surprised how easy it seemed to hold big power, and still be lighter then a standed clutch, David
-
good luck tonight, have you got someone vidioing it? let us know the results, we will not be running for a couple of weeks, then we have a Ford verse holden meet, so hopefully we will be able to embarrass a few cluby's. hope you smash the outright record, nothing against Nizpro, (I use some of there gear, and owe some of the my tuning experience to them) but I am here to see these things get quicker, these need to be running mid 11's. David

yep bypass would be the right word. yes it has water /methonal injection on it. no coctails, its the same stuff you can put in your windscreen bottle, David
-
and for different boost for each gear, could be handy to,(for traction) I think the eboost 2 can do this can't it? David
-
some times you just have to do that. should injoy what you have for a while longer, try to set up some goals you can continue on with this, imo David
-
I supose we will find out now if the 6speed can cope with the same launch as the 4speed. fingers crossed. David
-
yeh the standed electronic boost controller and solinoid does such a good job, there hardly seems a need. David

Just a bit of an update on this car. today we put injectors in the tery, and had a bit of a play with a few other things. now I will tell you what happened before the first tune. we tuned it on the road, with a Gtech ss. when we tuned it before, we got it down to a 13.1 at 109 mph,2.2 60ft then we took it to the drags, the weather was cooler then when we tuned it, it ran 12.9 at 108mph 2.2 60ft at the drags. now this time on the Gtech, same road, she pulled 12.1 at 113mph, middle of the day, 1.81 60ft. time and time again, boy you should feel what a 1.8 60ft feels like in a 2.2 ton tery. will not be drags here for at least 2 weeks, so it will be a long waite to verify this. who said these 6speeds cannot 60ft? this car is stock intercooler stock exhaust, with bung out, water injection, and injectors, and tune. just add my two cents worth for what it is worth, when I run cars with the 6 speed auto, I run it in 3rd, the reason I use for this is the car has 2.7 gears, so the speed in 3rd is very close to 4th in a manual 6 speed, which has 3.7 diff gears, ok I would like to run in as close to 1-1 as possible but 3rd in the 6speed auto is the main gear for the drags, it goes to about 160kph, just like 4th in the manual. this changes when the torque starts getting to much for 3rd, and it smokes the tyres, then I step up to 4th, and also 5th in the manual. this can help a car with a small intercooler to produce a higher figure, but this can be over come by a slow ramp rate. David

yep had one faulty one, Capa replaced it no problem. David
-
ok I did not know that, mine has 16 pins with only 5-6 being used, the new live wire the customer can hook it up on there dash, and read afr's timing intake temp and boost, works out a cheap gauge set up, as well as they can adjust timing, line presure, fan temp, boost , fuel, rev limit, (some only a percentage though) David
-
yeh, you need to push a wire connector into the back of the obd2 port(on the car end), there are spare connectors just waiting for this. David
-
yes the edit (flash tune software) can log afr's,with rpm, intake temp road speed, load, comanded gear, wastegate duty, boost, water temp, oil temp, trany temp, but you have to put a wide band senser in your exhaust , and wire it in to your obd2 port, it is the analog inputs in the live link software. the xr6t is limited to 230klm the auto is good if not abused mines done countless quarter runs in the 11's and even down to a ten and is with the next owner, still going fine, its got its limits but with the right tune in it and a simpathetic driver, there fine. have got a heap of 11 second cars up here all going fine with stock auto''s.infact I am yet to see a stock one fail up here in north Queensland, but all the drivers of the fast ones respect that it is a stock auto putting up with twice the power it was ment to. I would limit them to around 320rwkws and 1000nm of torque and it should be fine, with a good oil cooler and synthetic oil in it. David
-
for the price, you would not do pistons with out rods, they are both on borrowed time at that level. and oil pump gears would be on my list to. David

sorry to take so long to answer, had a car I was working on here, and that was my full attention untill I finished. ok, as Bryce said, the car has not been on the dyno, but the power would have been only about 280rwks if it was on a xr6 becuase I had to detune it a lot up high becuase of the standed injectors, this mod is based on the isues I came up with while tunig this tery. intakes go through the roof, well intake temp started at 85 degree's f. and buy a simple run to 170k's, it was up to 170 degrees. nothing will make power at that. after water meth, intake started at 85, and by the end it was 95. much like you big intercooler on the xr6t. so then because the water meth, gives you the octane abuility of 115-120 octane. I was able to have it spike to 14psi down low, but with a heap of timing in it and she pulls like a train. this had to happen because I can not get away from the torque controlls coming in when you stall these up. so I had him just nail his foot as the lights change and not stall it. result; slow first 20 ft, but she realy pulled after that, I had him shift at 4000 rpm in first to catch 5000 rpm because I had to roll the power off after that. I done it to a near stock xr6t auto on the weekend, and it ran a 11.9 with a 1.7 60ft. David
-
people were laughing at it when it pulled in to race, didnt they get a shock when it ran a 12.9 @ 108mph especially when there new ve clubsport r8 ran a 14.2 at 102mph David
-
sounds like a tough car

well done boy's what is done to the n/a v8, stock motor or cams and built. either way a good result David

well done! must be all sorted now, to run a 60ft like that. what mods has the car got? I think that would be on m/t street radials wouldn't it? you do hear a lot of good comments from elite customers. shows what having a passion for the cars you are working on can do for customer satisfaction.
