  1. Preston Autos do great work - they did the 4speed on my ute which was running 330rwkw at the time. Nice fellas to deal with too.
  2. "Well fronts are actually 3mm larger dia but 4mm thinner." - did you mean thicker Falchoon? The PBR kit, the fronts (325mmx32mm) are larger in diameter by 3mm and thicker by 4mm than the stock (which on a BF are 322mm x 28mm) in addition, the PBR performance kit brakes are slotted and vented and have SS braided lines. The stock rears (on a BF are 328mm x 26mm "pillar vented") are better than the current spec PBR performance kit (303mm x 16mm - solid) Check with BCR01 though - When I spoke with him recently about this, he told me that the PBR performance kit is about to be upgraded to vented rear rotors. Adam also mentioned the "M-series" PBRs that he has been running - 6pistons - sounded awesome... (From memory, performance ford mag giving away a set somewhere???) In any upgrade, I would recommend going for braided lines - as pedal feel was significantly improved IMHO Out of interest, will the turbo territory 340mm x 32mm front rotors & calipers fit under 17" rims as EZ2CME was asking?
  3. The PBR performance kit will fit I ran one under my 17s on my first XR6T ute - PM BCR01 in North Qld as he can supply at a good price.
  4. Looks the goods - a touch of styling influence by Zorro?
  5. apparently all for do is pull them to bits - put some A-grade eucalyptus oil on it to clean the gunk off it and put them back together!!!

  10. Best I ever got out of one of those was 165kph - ....downhill with a tailwind...
  11. I'm not a real fan of car bras - apart from looking a bit ordinary do they rub the paintwork when using them?
  12. Personally I'm not a fan of mixing coolants - I'd agree with Paranormal - in topping it up with water - I use distilled just to be on the safe side. The only problem with continually doing this is that it dilutes the coolant - reducing the effective % of glycol in the mix - Most good mechanics have a refractometer which will indicate the % glycol in your cooling system - if it gets low - (I use 25% as a benchmark), its probably not a bad time to flush and replace.
  13. yup - that's prolly what I meant by a bit cocky!!!
  14. True - although not sure that's what this thread is all about - I dont imagine these guys spend 200k+ on a sports car then drive ( read strut ) around looking for a run to test it out without being a little bit cocky... I guess if they get "flogged" by a cheaper car its a bit of a leveller (a long way from being 'embarrassed or ashamed' ) - as it would be for us in our 'T's getting left behind by the 180b if we were asking for it!! At the end of the day its all about the common denominator - performance cars - regardless of whether it is the driver of the Porsche, a modded 'T' or a quick 180b, there is obviously a healthy interest, understanding and respect for a motor vehicle that performs.

  16. Yup - that's a carryboy - you can see the oval logo at the back... Saw a "Mach 3" hardlid on a ute in a magazine recently - anyone heard of these?? Couldnt find anything on the web about them...

  19. Having researched some of the threads here, it looks as though the siemens injectors might be better value for money than the Bosch 968s (610cc v 440cc for roughly the same price). But do either of these two injectors make a tuners like more difficult? If a tuner is more used to using 968s but they have to work with the Siemens, will the tuner have to spend a stack more time tuning on the dyno given it may not be a combination they are used to??
  20. Give us some more detail mate if you would not mind, Size price etc. May as well look at all options. 21. I just ordered one of these... As our lounge didnt have a lot of space for a massive receiver and player... ( I have a Denon setup in our theatre and just wanted something smaller for the lounge ) The wireless rear speakers will be next to useless as I pre-wired both rooms in our house for 5.1 when we were building. But it has HDMI out and upscaling so will plug into the Samsung Rseries LCD tv we have on the way.... Will let you know how it all goes when it comes in at the end of the month.
  22. Are you sure your dad didnt get it edited and youre running in valet mode???!!!
