  1. Gee the amazing photography helps lol! Doesn't look too bad there though
  2. Nah I don't have a hoist, could borrow one if I had too but should be fine! Got 2 forklifts if I need an extra jack lol What 'main bottom bolt' you talking about ?
  3. The GT Sports. Same as Bomber 35-0724 Fronts 15-0723 Rear I got my stuff off ebay. I got sssl and ssssl springs, monroes front and rear. Super bro camber kits for front, superpro eccentric bushes for rear and super pro bumpstops for $1180 posted to my door so stoked with that! Not sure about the rear for the utes (if you use the same shocks?) but surely its easy to get your hands on a set of fronts? Yea I've done just a set of springs before so springs and shocks won't be any different. The camber kits will be different but pretty simple stuff I'd say
  4. Oh all good! if money's not an issue the Federal's are probably better! sh*t that's alright, I didn't even look in town, just assumed they were a lot cheaper on the internet. Yea I have them on the front too and yea been good for turn on! Will really test them once I lower the car and try get rid of understeer lol Looks like I'll be giving esp a ring 2moro and see what they can do for me! Might try and find the time to go visit them in person because I prefer to talk about stuff like that in person. Did Glenn supply your parts for your tune too or did you source them yourself?
  5. And I thought the Boss 5.4L filled an engine bay! Fark theres no room to work in there lol They're worms Inox CEO's! How do they fit on an FG? I was looking at getting the same rims but in a +30 up front and +40 rear because lowering my car a bit! Do you have a couple of mm of inner clearance (especially on the rear)?
  6. Gee 20,000kms isn't that crash hot for non-sticky tyres. I've read guys getting those kind of kms with Nitto Invo's (although in 275 your talking $450 a pop). I been looking at tyres so I can decide whether I can afford new wheels. Falken 452's from saveontyres.com.au in 275/35r20 are $280 each or achilles atr sport 275/30r20 from thewheeldeal.com for $160 each. I have the achilles on the front and I rate them good for that, yet to put them on the rear. Sounds like either of these might be worth a shot because like even if the achilles have the same amount of grip at least they'll be a lot cheaper than Hankook's. Yea I might give them a call 2moro n have a quick chat
  7. Fair enough. Might have to add that to my list of jobs for when I go back home! Thanks
  8. I have brand new control blade bushes in my car so shouldn't be that. As for my diff bushes, I had Ford, Pedders and another mechanic look at them and all 3 said they're still fine (I realise they probably arent A1 but not shagged out) Is this an aftermarket part Senna? I had a quick look on ebay (had no idea what the part was before you mentioned it) and only seems to be genuine ones for sale. Are there any problems with this shunt or is it something you can live with?
  9. Is this an actual diff bush problem Ralph or is this one of those 'blinker doesn't work = diff bush' problems lol?
  10. I whipped them an email but haven't gotten a reply yet, I don't really want to ring and waste too much of their time because not quite sure if Im ready to do any power mods. Those are pretty good prices though! I bet you need the wider wheels for the power! What tyres did you go with? Do you get good grip with only a 25 profile on the rear? Given I have an FG I have a bit more room for more profile

^^^ This! Ps do your research between different models because theres big differences between the models in terms of engine and gearbox
  12. Hey guys, tried to do a search but no one seems to have had the same problem (or that I can find). I have an 08 FG XR6T with 80,000kms and I'v owned it for about a month now. I have my sh*tty Maxxis tyres on the rear so when I give it a boot (generally from a rolling start) I get a heap of wheel spin so all normal there, but the issue is when I back off the gearbox shifts up but it really clunks into gear! At first I wasn't concerned, I figured it was just the gearbox trying to shift quickly to try and avoid any slipping on the shift but thought I'd better check just to be on the safe side. I don't give the car a boot when below a quarter on the temp gauge so the cars always warm when I give it some. Does this sound normal? By the way its only stock power wise Thanks!
  13. I think leave it the colour of the car for now, you can always wrap it later. I think its too small of a part for wrapping it to make it stand out, I think leaving it the stock colour just puts a subtle finish on the rear end +1 for insane to put a pic up of his DJR bobtail
  14. It looks good mate and the practically is a big bonus!! 'm going to go 20' so a 285/35 isn't possible, just trying to get the best offset so I can get the most tyre on as possible. Cheers mate
  15. Nice!! I might have to give them a call. I was going for cat, 60lb dekkas, PW stepped cooler and piping and maybe turbo side intake with battery relo if I get one cheap enough and hoping for about 310rwkw in my FG. Did they use vcm on your car or did you use the xcal? Trying to toss up whether to get a vcm for now stock and then get an xcal for one I get my mods. How do they go price wise? I'm staying away from Gentech just for the reason that its cheaper to go to sydney then go to the boys there lol Ps nice ride. Vertini hennesey's?
  16. that's alright then! I guess the 35 profile on the 285 will have a fair bit of distortion under load around a corner. if you wanted to stop the rubbing do you reckon you'd go a 285/30 or a 275/35?
  17. Looks good! How close is your tyre to your control arm on the inside. With a +40 and 285/35 must be pretty close? Does it ever rub?
  18. September release in the US! Can probably get it soon after that in Aus! Thinking about doing like JD did with his ute, but green wheels, mirrors and door handles on black car
  19. Gee that's lucky, im struggling to find even an XT boot in any colour on the internet! (No I haven't rung around cause its the weekend). If you decide you don't like it mate let me know and I'll buy it off you! Yea I thought that might be the case but I'm going to try my best because like I said the paints started to scratch off
  20. Nah mate it wasn't a GS, it had the black lip on the rims aswell and wasn't MKII, although that it is once nice looking car! ESP tuned? I was going to go to sydney for my tune but I heard a few good things about ESP in Queanbeyan. How do you rate them?
  21. Yea I think that's what I'm gonna do mate, It seems as though personal preference plays such a role in what people choose and at the end of the day how many people actually change their speakers enough to make good comparisons! Going to head out to an audio shop when I get closer to buying and test all the speakers in my price range out
  22. Put up a little build thread on this in the exterior/interior when your done, interested to see how it comes out!
  23. Spray putty? is this just to give you something that will sand back smooth cause the fibreglass is too rough? Im half way through my custom triple gauge pod, made a mess of my first time fibreglassing
  24. Did you find a second hand boot or did you just get the lip put on your boot and the holes plugged up? Yea a few more weeks and it will be tucking tyre so hopefully it looks good. Nah mudflaps are staying 4 2 reasons. First that they started scratching the paint so will look sh*t to take them off, and secondly that when I go home I go on a few dirt roads and they save the rear guards big time! But in saying that I've measured up how low the cars gonna drop and those mudflaps will scrape on everything lol
