  1. Definitely save for a T or F6. For the transplant check out a couple of threads on here of people who have done it! Easiest way is to transplant everything! So long motor, gearbox, then you still need to do the mods to get the power you want, plus theres all the install, wiring, having the car reprogrammed etc, PLUS you need to account for other things if you want an F6 ie your brakes, suspension etc. And then after that you still have 150,000kms of wear and tear on everything else like bushes etc so its not just the motor and gearbox, you gotta think everything else will need replacing soon. One guy on here posted just the other day saying he just finished his conversion and he knows his stuff by the sounds of it but after doing all that the car won't wind over and he's stumped as to what it is! You'd hate to spend all that time and money and the car doesn't start because you could end up spending huge $$$ trying to check parts or get someone else to figure it out for you. Personally you stand to make a nice profit on your NA, just don't muck around with it in terms of mods because it'll hold value better and then save up and buy your T. That's what I did and don't regret a single thing! On a side not you say you want 500rwhp so like a bit under 400rwkw, maybe have a drive of a members car around your area if you can because that's a hell of a lot of power and will cost you a lot more than $5k! go through the 400 thread and you'll see whats involved! Plus driving someones car with that kind of power will give you an idea of if you need that much or not. I want from a 182kw xr6 to my 270 FG xr6t and it keeps you more than happy enough for a while! Anyway personal opinion but something to consider
  2. Sorry to double post! But can someone tell me the difference between an 55-250mm IS II and the 55-250mm IS lens? DWI kit includes just the IS but ebay kits include the IS II lens
  3. Farrrrkkk check out that rubber! Imagine sitting behind this, watching it squat then goooooooone lol
  4. Yea I loved getting asked why I bought new rims cause they're plasti dipped! I think I'm going to buy my next set of wheels in silver or machine and then just go black when I'm bored because you can't buy black and go back to machined as easily
  5. Sweet, thanks bionic! I'll have to get in touch with the guy 2moro and make sure he has everything! Thanks
  6. Thanks Adam, I was hoping you'd see this at some point because I saw a post of yours saying you liked the 650D soon as it was released! 650D it is boys! Will be getting it in October and the happy snaps will begin! Thanks for all your input guys
  7. Check out my thread in the exterior and interior called "fg spoiler or no spoiler'. 1NSANE has it on his car in black and looks okay but I reckon it looks sh*t house on any other colour. Check out that thread and you'll see car's with that compared to G6E bootlip.
  8. So if I can get the bumper with sensors, harness and module from the car I would just need to get the car programmed by Ford? Or its hard wired in and isn't just plugged in?
  9. Hey guys just looking at buying a second hand rear bumper that has factory reverse sensors. Now just wondering if there is just a wiring loom that plugs in and it all works or is there more too it if your car doesn't come with it from factory? From what I gather it just plugs in to where the towbar wiring plugs in to the car? Need to clarify this before wasting money buying the bumper! Cheers
  10. They do it on the stretch of Highway from Canberra to Sydney. I've only seen it once but not sure how much it gets done! Its one of those things, all they have to do is make people aware that it can happen and that'll scare most people. If theres signs that say aerial speed enforced here blah blah blah then I guess just run the risk if you don't mind coping a fine if you get one
  11. Yea I think im going to just stick with the twin lens kit. I had a look and the 50mm fixed can be had for $100 but I gotta learn to use the camera before I start going through lenses lol.
  12. Yea well unfortunately I don't think I'll go any further than 300, not for a few years anyway
  13. Yea I actually read the whole 12 pages and took me a few days lol. I looked at dwi and they seem to be the cheapest! What does the 60D have over the 650D? Does the 60d have all those features I meantioned above? Also from what I read in this thread the 18-55mm and 55-250mm lens kit would be a good place to start for a beginner. Whats the difference between one of these lenses and say the 50mm? (sorry still quite a noob here) SDP I don't know if I'll get into photgraphy properly though, more or less something for the mrs to get me for my 21st and its something I'm kind of interested in. I think by time I spent a few years to get good the 60D would be superseded anyway so thought the 650D would be a good start and then in a few years once I have a job and stuff I can look at upgrading if I want to get more serious or just keep the 650 for family photos etc. But in saying that feel free to tell me why the 60D is better than the 650D
  14. Yea Shy I'm not gonna get a $1000 camera that can't take good photos for me lol. If I have to edit every photo its not worth getting. Might just bite the bullet and get it, I'm sure I'll take awesome photos compared to my iphone and 5 year old fujifilm digital camera!
  15. Well the tuner I'm looking at going too swears by sticking to the stock cooler and just changing the piping but I'm going for 300rwkw and I can't help but think for just a few hundred on a better cooler will help. I do like the look of the PW stepped Freak! I guess its one of those things, if you want to upgrade stock its only $300 for a monza, but for $100 more you get a Capa, but for like $100 more you get HDI but then for a few hundred more you can get PW! Might just run the stock cooler and see how it holds up and save up for a PW stepped. Still be interested to see if anyone has used this on an FG and the change in intake temps with back to back runs etc
  16. Hey sucksqueeze hows the angle of the gauge to the driver? From that angle look like it will be looking up to the roof a bit much and glare could be an issue? Chuck up a pic of it fitted to the car? Ps good job though, looks cleaner than my custom guage holder lol
  17. That's such a bargain! I just sold my BA MKII XR6 with 150,000kms for $10k so definitely aim for $8-9k I would suggest only doing the cold air upgrade (cut the front of the box out and put a K n N) and the underdrive pulley kit. Any more is a bit of a waste because it will cost you big $$ for relatively small gains and if your going for a turbo save your money for that. Plus I noticed that when selling mine people preferred cleaner cars that weren't really modified (it makes people feel better that they're not flogged lol) As for the exhaust. maybe buy a catback if your really want an exhaust (can be had for a few hundred on ebay) and then bolt the stock catback on to sell and if you have a young bloke interested in the car offer to put the aftermarket back on. In the end up to you but I just went through selling mine and although its a great P-plate car the people that were interested in mine were older people so the more subtle modifications are better for resale. and then you can save up your money for the T! Way more gains to be had for same $$
  18. Just realised CAPA has an FG cooler. 460 x 430 x 55mm. Thickness kind of worries me compared to PW, Plaz etc. Isn't the stock cooler 55mm? But for $400 a better version of the Monza maybe? If you don't intend to pull big power and don't want to cut anything then probably not a bad option compared to going Monza?
  19. 600D is a fair bit cheaper in store than the 650D but online not a real lot of difference. From what I gather the 650D has the following over the 600D: built in HDR Touch Screen Higher fps Auto focus on video recording Full HD video recording A software upgrade Is this all?
  20. Plus you have to be real careful because once its dried the tape can pull the plastidip up! Just let it cut itself on edges with tyres on and peel the tyres off later!
  21. Worm had these (Definately not that offset though). Send him a message and ask what offset he had, or even check out the wheel whore mega thread, its in there somewhere!
  22. Well done efsix! Sounds great! What was your business name/website so I can keep an eye on progress! Really like their new blaze green for my black car! Xyz, having done this to my wheels I would definitely suggest fitting the tyre first! Reason being is one tyre fitters can be rough as n I had a wheel alignment done (twice actually cause they farked up) after I plasti dipped n they just started to peel it up with the machine. I just re sprayed the edge and it was alright! Plus of you spray before fitting the tyre and you overspray over the lip of the wheel top much the machine might rub it up putting the tyre on! Feel free to go either way it could be fine, but having used the stuff I would say you want too make sure that once they're dipped the wheels aren't really played around with. As for overspray on the tyres, I used black so I didn't peel it off, but as long as you spray on thick enough you should be able to peel off the tyre easily
  23. Pazzo's "old" rims! I guess I'm like the third person in line that may wanna buy these! Between worm n JD they should open up a second hand wheel shop lol
  24. Sweet thanks mate! I think 82 degree from what I read?
