  1. Chit, pretty good that achilles can almost hold 300rwkw to the road with just a little spinning!
  2. 275 will be perfect on a 9.5" rim. Up to you whether you go 35 or 30 profile
  3. ^^ that's what I thought from the pics. You don't happen to know what yours measure across trainer? I have a second pair of dunlop sport maxx GT's in 265/30 that are going on next and they measure about 10.5 inches wide so they look quite wide, but comparing that to 245/35 achilles that measure 9" wide and fit perfect on an 8" rim makes me think that I'd need a tyre that's at least 11" wide to avoid any stretch. But then will probably face issue with rubbing
  4. Yea thanks j.d. Clearly if +17 works with 225/35 then add 10mm of tyre each side and take it in to +27 and should be all good! But Trainer yours was rubbing with +28 wasn't it? I think your front might be a bit lower than mine aswell ^^Looks good man. What tyres are on the rear? 275/30? Does it rub at all on big bumps?
  5. Well I think I want the front a bit more aggressive anyway because +42 compared to +38 10" rears just doesn't look right. I was thinking either a 5mm to make it just work, or a 15-20mm to look a bit better. But I know trainer was scrubbing out with 245/35 with +28 (I think) so even with 15mm spacers I'll be out to +27 and I don't want it to rub. Any chance of getting a 10mm slip on spacer or way too risky?
  6. What brand tyres you got?
  7. Yea I just meant that max stock turbo should be about 330 and I figured those mods would easily max stock huffer and as I assumed the dyno must read a little lower Gonna be a handful getting traction in a ute with 400+
  8. What does everyone reckon would be the highest offset you can go on the front of an FG to fit a 245/35 on a 20x8.5. Reason I ask is because my car is fairly low and at the moment have a 225/35 (previous owner) and I have a +42 offset and I don't think 245/35 will fit, so wondering how much I can push it out with spacers without getting too close to the guards so I don't have to roll/pump them. 5mm should do the trick yea? Because the car's low I can't actually see inside the guard to see how much to the upper control arm
  9. They will fit mate but will just sit in the gaurds quite a bit so you won't have an aggressive fitment. But as Henz said can always go a 5mm spacer all round to make it look a bit better
  10. Chit that was faded pretty bad! Came up good though
  11. Gee hi-torque dyno must understate or your turbo's pretty buggered because that's a lot of supporting mods for only 317rwkw. What boost you running? With a gtx and surge + 044 you'll see around about 380rwkw surely
  12. What are you using to spray the grill and fog light surrounds?
  13. I can't imagine fitting 10.5 +38! I have 10" +38 and its tight lol. Add an extra 6mm to the inside and I'd say it will rub on the control blade. In saying that a 3mm spacer should do the job
  14. Your car's not yellow by any chance? Because sounds like a lemon
  15. Yea should be right mate! The rear will be a tight squeeze at +42 but pray to the big guy that your diff is centred
  16. No this isn't a thread asking about what brakes to buy lol. Just found this on ebay and thought someone might be keen to jump on it if it sticks around price http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/DBA-4000-Rotor-Upgrade-with-QFM-Pads-Brake-Fluid-to-suit-BA-FG-Falcons-/140880065113?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item20cd1b3259&_uhb=1#ht_500wt_1414 Mods feel free to delete if you want
  17. Cheers mate, really happy with them, so easy to install too cause didn't have to pull the ICC out. Yea I think there was a few of us who gave it a go, tutorial helped heaps!
  18. Cheers mate. It actually looks very different now lol. Its tucking tyre on 20" machined vertini concaves. Its booked in for a cut and polish in 3 weeks and gonna take some happy snaps for the forum once she's all shiny lol

Welcome! 1. don't buy an ebay cooler. You'll only end up changing to a good brand one in the future. Just search 'monza' and you'll see what I mean lol 2. Best advice on diff bush is too get someone else too do it lol (got mine down for $380 in labour and supplied bushes myself). Oh and buy super pro comfort series, stay away from the nolathane solid bushes
  20. Exactly what Jimmi said! Don't use the trip computer and actually see how many kms you get out of how many litres of fuel and work it out manually. I found mine was quite off. Also discount your battery and it will reset your trip. When I did this it reset to almost spot on to what I was actually getting
  21. I don't think the power delivery is weird at all. Guessing you have an auto. If you try flog it in drive then of the course the car is going to get confused as to which gear etc you want, but if you drive in perf mode I found the throttle response amazing and the power is delivered quite linear considering its turboed. Also the traction control is upgraded big time from B series. Have a drive of a B series if you can, my traction control was rubbish but in the fg it just cuts the power down a bit rather than altogether so your still accelerating but hooking up the tyres And the idle issue could be because something needs replacing; plugs, coils etc. Depends on how many kms you got, again mine idles pretty good although is getting new plugs etc when it goes in for a tune Not to try completely discredit everything you said but these cars are amazing value for money and I don't think these things are 'bad' especially when you drive other cars to compare it too
  22. So the weather really does affect vinyl that much? Isn't it meant to be able to last 5-7 years or something like that?
  23. ^^ this. Inlet and outlet both on drivers side of BA and BF cooler, unless you have an aftermarket cooler?
