  1. ^lol Bullet doesn't matter what colour you get, focus on the style, then just get plastidip and change it up when your bored lol. I've got purple can's in the mail due in on monday for mine. Dunno if I'll like it but worth a try haha
  2. Can't really answer your question for someone in Bris but just be really careful! I thought the guys that did mine did a great job until a couple of months later I was washing the car and noticed the paint cracked! Its on the lip of the wheel arch so you can't really see it but I had to hit it with a touch up paint to stop it from ever rusting, and I'm pretty sure theres no liability on them if your paint cracks. Just something to keep an eye out for

  4. ^^ I wish I read this before I jacked the car up 15 ago lol. Here's a pic of the side bushes, they seem further in than the rear, maybe 5mm or more from being flush. If you can confirm that this is wrong pat I'll take the car in, just don't want to go telling them they've done it wrong if they haven't. Ps sorry for the sh*t pic, its hard to tell with all the grease and crap around it

  6. Your rear guards done? Be careful hitting a bump because if your guards aren't rolled and pumped it looks like you may have trouble hitting your tyre. Nonetheless looks very good! Starting to see a bit of a trend here that not all springs seem to be the same. If people could put up when they lowered their car (or better when the springs were bought). It seems as though king has revised their springs and lowered them (probably due to complaints that their ultra lows were the same as standard lol). I went sssl/ssssl because of pictures I saw being too high on the above combo, but I'd be more than happy with that height!   9. I spent about half an hour today fiddling with my amps and input gains etc and managed to reduce the hiss a because the amps are quite powerful but it's still there. If the guys at the car audio place can't fix it without adding a processor then I'll just replace my converter for a cheaper one and live with what it is because I only notice it listening to the radio quietly, once the iphone's in and its pumping its crystal clear.

So I was under the car this morning trying to figure out this knock that I'm getting over sharp bumps (having already changed a heap of things) and I was checking out my diff bush and thought it looked like it was in quite a bit. I thought I have seen pictures of the superpro bushes actually poking out of the cradle not in, either way I thought it should at least be flush. Either way is this right and if so are there any problems that can occur from it? Need to know asap cause I'm going back to canberra in 2 weeks and the guys that changed the bush are here at home so if it needs to be fixed It has to be done by them
  12. Been a bit absent on the forums lately lol. Almost certain you didn't see me mcinnes because I've been out of canberra since mid november. Back in Griffith NSW for uni break. Heading back to Canberra in a couple of weeks. Oh and I have silver wheels now and soon to be purple lol, Guarantee I'll have the ONLY car like mine in the country haha Welcome mate! I have a black FG with nsw rego. I live in watson, uni at acton and work in Kingston so keep an eye out and pull me over to say hi, very rarely in a rush to go anywhere lol This is true. I've gotten quotes off both ESP and Gentech, didn't wanna look at other ACT tuners because I only want to use guys with experience with our cars. Got some rough prices from sydney and yea much cheaper and probably do a slightly better job but catch is if something goes wrong, have fun gettin a tow to sydney lol. But in saying that I'm heading down to Melbourne in July and in the process of talking to Mick from Pitlane because from what I've read he really knows his sh*t! But Gentech is still on the cards for me. Definite +1 for a cruise or even catch up in the city or dickson or something. So we have 2 nitro FG's, a white G6et, a Black B series and my black FG. That's enough to get started lol.

  15. Depends how low you go mate! Front I wouldn't worry about, just shim up the brackets that come in the car. As for the rear you should be able to drop an inch or so and end up with neg 1 degree of camber (give or take), which isn't much to worry about. Being coilovers though its not hard to just lower till you get camber, see how it goes after they settle. Then if you want to go lower and worried about camber then get the adjustable upper control arms
  16. Rear muffler delete without resonator gives more than just a little note. Its not loud but more than subtle. Gives a nice little burble on gear changes and only really drones if your holding it at 2000rpm which doesn't happen at any of the speedlimits (unless your holding too high of a gear). I'm happy with mine for the note it gives. Should be better once the cat is changed, and possibly dump too
  17. Yea I'm thinking purple, just not sure if ill just be wasting my money cause if I don't like it ill be tearing it off. Hey Henz given your wrapping experience would the purple on black on the parts mentioned above be too much?
  18. The head unit thing doesn't sound right! Prob just too big of a job they just can't be effed doing it lol. Dunno but the guys I got my stuff off got me to stay away from alpine speakers n glad I did cause the quality of my polk's is great! Really shallow mounting depth too which meant now adaptor s had to be made to fit them! Type r's are really deep speakers

  20. ^^This. I imagine it is pretty hard to get that close to ICC and the FG is even harder than B series. I tried a couple of things but not much is working! When I get back to canberra the guys I bought my gear off are going to check a few things and if no luck I'll just settle for the sh*t hiss but take back my $150 converter and get the cheaper one. Got to admit though, the guys set me up with an awesome quality soundsystem once the volumes cranked up! Clarity and punch are incredible value for money

Thinking about buying some plastidip again but not looking at doing my wheels this time (they'll be way too hard too do properly and then peel later) So thinking I want to do roof, mirrors, grill (or part of it) fog light surrounds, rear diffuser, door handles and gonna give whitewalls a try with plastidip. I was leaning towards going blaze green on my black FG, to give it that whole monster energy look but open to suggestions on other colours. Basically will consider blaze: orange, blue, pink, purple and yellow and normal matte white.

    ^^ this! Very similar mods to what I was looking at getting done except I was going to go for KPM in tank pump instead of surge and turbo side intake, and no dump. What boost is it running? How'd the tune go with the dump and managing boost? Trying to work out if I want to get a dump as well or not
  23. Pitlane is a forum sponsor and has produced some really good cars. Give Mick a ring and let him no your financial situation and he'll give you the best option possible for your money in terms of getting both power but reliability and drive ability out of your car. My guess will be $1500 for x3 and tune. $500 plus install on cool pipes and probably $500 installed for injectors and that'll see you jump from about 220-230rwkw standard too 270-280rwkw.

  25. +1 to remove airbox and use deep socket! I found the hard bit to be getting the old hard line out without completely destroying it (In case I needed to replace it back in the future)
