  1. All falcons come with stainless exhausts! Id say at least 90% of new car's are stainless for that matter
  2. Looking at the weather report and hoping it comes good for sunday! I was gonna give the girl a wash for you guys but if its gonna work maybe just the inside will get a clean lol
  3. I definitely wouldn't pay anywhere near 24k for the FG. I paid $20k for my FG with less than 80,000kms and that was 8 months ago
  4. Guessing they're all around the same price range? I would probably go the typhoon. Mostly because of kms. Personal experience with car's with higher kms is not great, the lower the better for sure. Being typhoon its got all the goodies inside and outside and has more potential than the others without changing the turbo, but in saying that the little FG turbo is great for the street. FG's are more refined interior wise though. Probably doesn't help much lol
  5. The 6/4 combo is worth a heap on its own. Looks wise it just looks right. Like yea you can say what's different because ... but its just the perfect combo if you ask me And yes exclusivity, I think I've only ever seen a Gt-E in real life not even an f6-E.
  6. Fair enough mate, well hopefully you get the chance soon and all goes to plan! Yea with 400rwkw and grippy tyres I would put money on a broken tailshaft going for a 10.
  7. Hey mate you'll notice the bumpstops has like 3 sections, cut one off and you should be right. I have super pro shortened bump stops and still had to cut mine down a couple of notches
  8. Now I can understand where the $7k came from lol! Awesome setup mate, probably the best I've ever seen in a falcon
  9. Fair enough mate! You'd be fairly close now wouldn't you? Whats your best time? If your going searching for a 10 then yea a built gearbox and a good stall will go a long way!
  10. ^^ Unless au model number and hasn't got preloaded generic tunes. If you can get a new x3 for $600 compared to $795 then why not
  11. Yea I realise that but it'd be too risky switching between tunes. Ie if I run my e85 tune and there's some 98 left in the tank the car can lean out and go boom. I'd have to bleed the tank dry to switch back to 98 to go home and it's just too much work. PM sent Yea I think ethanol based fuel is definitely something that needs to be considered nowadays when looking to modify as you really need to plan for it with mods. Given you said you probably won't keep the car that much longer there's probably not much point spending $5k plus to go to ethanol.. Theres a thread on the fordforum with a guy that had his car tuned with e48 which was a blend of e85 and 98. Can't remember his exact gains but it was pretty good. It'd be pretty hard to get the mix perfectly right every time though unless it was pre mixed in drums
  12. Yea I was stupid and went to uni. Hopefully it pays off and I can buy c63's and m5's when I'm older lol
  13. ^^this. I think most places are the same, anywhere between $800 and $1000 installed seems to be the norm
  14. I think I might have seen a tutorial on the ford forum but don't quote me on that! I think the main things to be wary of are that you note the exact position of the cradle before you drop it out and make sure it goes back in perfectly centre otherwise if/when you go to bigger wheels you don't want to find one side scrapes and the other is fine. And as guys mentioned you need to mark the current position of the bushes so they go back in the exact same way. The guys that did mine learnt that the hard way when I realised a month later they were in wrong so they had to do the job all over again out of their own pocket
  15. Been busy getting back into uni so car's now booked in on saturday for them to have a look. The guy there was pretty unhelpful when I told him my problems but anyway wait and see when they put it on a hoist and have a look Yea been under the rear of the car and tightened everything up. Only problem was when I did it the car was jacked in the air and wasn't on a hoist so it is possible that because the load wasn't on the wheels some bolts appeared tight but once the car is on the ground they actually aren't.
  16. dNOT falken 452's lol have to run them at 35psi to get any grip and they start scrubbing out. Now with about 1-2mm before indicators the car skates around soon as I hit boost on stock fg. Not overly great in the wet either, plus tyre life is ordinary! The next I buy will be achilles atr sports. yet to decide whether I go series 1 or series 2 though. But I have 2 dunlop sports max gt's sitting in my shed I got for free going on in a month or . Hopefully they're pretty good. I think they're the tyres Henz had on his rota's and he liked them
  17. Even if they were 10mm or so wider than other brands that still doesn't make sense?
  18. F6E's are amazing! I was actually looking at F6's out of curiosity after reading this and I was surprised that you could basically get a demo one for a bit over $50k! Or for $40k you can get an 09 with liek 20-30,000kms! Unfortunately for new car buys they depreciate heaps but great for those who can't afford new! Dunno what's your budget but this is a pretty good buy! http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/fpv-f6-e-2010-14089903?base=1216&vertical=Car&cr=1&eapi=2&__N=1246%201252%201247%201282%204294965879%204294770246%201216&num=15&silo=Stock&sort=~Price
  19. Everyone is correct lol As per caltex website Bio E-Flex is specially formulated to meet your flex fuel car's requirements all year round. Different seasons can change the way fuel performs in your engine, so Caltex will adjust the blend of ethanol from 70 to 85% between seasons to ensure your engine performs correctly. So it is minimum e70 and up to e85. However e85 from united servo's is minimum 85 but has been tested by guys on here up around the 92 mark. In terms of the difference it makes to your car. At 300rwkw on 98 you're probably looking at 20-30rwkw more on e70 (eflex) or approx 30-40rwkw gain on e85. These are obviously approximations relative to you'r mods. But as Daniel said there are more gains to be had than just the power in that so far all research is in favour of ethanol based fuel prolonging the life on the motor It is much cheaper to run per litre but when you'r giving it a go you use a bit more fuel. All in all for every day driving it works out the same fuel consumption wise mcinnes your car is set up well for eflex except your injectors. Your injectors will be pushing it with eflex as their maxed out at 350rwk on 98. You may however be able to got o 330-340 with them on eflex but that's something id check with Kit As much as I want to eflex isn't suitable for me as I spend 5 months a year in Griffith and we don't have ethanol fuel and the local caltex won't let me buy it in 44 gallon drums
  20. 4 car's in like how many years mcinnes lol? You're only like 21 or something aren't you lol
  21. Just make sure that your gauges are the same size as the pod. I noticed that pod is for 52mm gauges so just make sure the gauges are the same size. Also I'm pretty sure the saas gauge pod doesn't actually clip in, it needs to be stuck down with double sided tape (unless they've changed it?) so just make sure you're happy with that. You don't want it to arrive and then hate it
  22. Was gonna say the exact same thing Mick lol! Poor Kosij, at least he's not alone If everything was standard then yea really doesn't make a lot of sense
  23. ^^ Would struggle to get in a lot of places with the rear that low lol. Don't au ultra's go that low, how come you went vn springs?
  24. Do a bit of research on what you want mate.. power, $$, driveability etc and then you'll be able to make a better decision then Definitely go to Sydney or Newcastle for a custom tune though, much better results
