  1. As J@ plus DO NOT drive the car if possible. Get it towed or get a mechanic to come out and have a look at it
  2. Pretty sure the owners manual says you're not allowed to run anything less than 95RON so I'd be careful running 91. And if you're worried about the fuel economy do a service, change fuel filter, put some injector cleaner in a tank, put a k n n filter in and cut a whole in the airbox. Then disconnect and reconnect your battery so your computer resets and go for a drive. That could make a difference, but not a big one
  3. I think the OP's issue (and mine) joe is by bypassing the heat exchanger we want to still get the trans up to normal operating temp but worried that by just using an external cooler the temps won't get up (or soon enough) for everyday driving, that's why I was thinking about putting mine behind a foggy and then If I track it I'll just take out the foggy
  4. The 50th anniversary's look the best I reckon! Just needs a paint touch up on that front bar lol
  5. Note to self, sell car before 180,000 lol. I suppose while it open might aswell fix what needs to be fixed!
  6. By not being front mounted means it has less airflow to cool down so actually works more like a heat exchanger than a cooler? I was thinking about mounting my cooler behind the foggy and leaving the foggy in so it still warms up okay.
  7. Nah I don't think anyone did. From what I gather it was pretty good but there was a couple of idiots amongst the pack. Someone crashed into an s 15 and isn't owning up so that's kind of a disappointment. They're trying to figure out who it could have been 20/21 isn't any good for me but 27/28 would be alright. Assuming its just a single day thing. I generally need at least one day on a weekend for uni work.
  8. Great detail, definitely things I didn't know would make such a difference! How come is this? High kms only or can happen down low? I'm guessing it wouldn't be a cheap job to fix but mostly because of labour not parts?
  9. Yea hubcentric, preferably. Even just ones with a dedicated stud pattern. The universal ones I put on are just too flimsy and yea don't trust them. It would be good to get hubcentric with a tapered centre that is for a 70.5mm hub bore and 73.1mm wheel bore but they'd have to be custom made I'd say
  10. Fitted new front tyres. Had to run 5mm spacers to get them to fit. Not a fan of the spacers though. Anyone recommend any really good mobs anywhere in Aus who sell slip on spacers/make them for a good price? I got quoted $130 for custom made slip on's
  11. From personal experience I've found every tyre to be different. I ran Maxxis Ma-z1's at 38-40 and the scrubbed out inside and outside as thought they were flat yet ran 35 in falken 452's and didn't have many issues. In Nexen n3000's 38 run them fine and the list goes on. I think its a trial and error and find what works for you and your tyres
  12. Looks good mate! Speaking of worm haven't seen many new wheels recently!! The wheel deal must be getting scare of going broke without his business lol
  13. I think the cruises being organised have sort of disconnected themselves from the "braddon crew" that hang out and chuck burnouts so provided you're behaving yourself (and for that matter park out of sight in the city) then I can't imagine getting into too much trouble. I suppose this cruise needs to be organised at some point lol. What are people thinking? April, may, june, july? I think it might need to be something that has to be organised at least a month or 2 in advance. At the moment for me most of May should be okay provided I stay on top of uni. June and July are no goes for me, have exams and then head back to Griffith for a month. Then end of july/ august would be good too.
  14. With standard location and standard box it won't be any worse than a panel filter but can't imagine it being much better either. Pod filters are generally better in an open box because they allow for more air to be sucked in from all angles and you can't really get that effect in the standard box
  15. Say a chev badge on a hyandai excel the other day. Lucky if 1 in 10 actually use the excuse their cars a chevy, most just do it cause they like the look of the badge. I prefer the chev badge over the Expensive Daewoo but I wouldn't personally ever put one on my car
  16. Same with everyone above and a 290rwkw will not 'feel' anything like a 310 F6 (approx 260-270rwkw). The xr has a smaller turbo so has quicker spool so you feel it more whereas the F6 has a bigger turbo and lags just a bit more then goes harder through the top on.
  17. Wow having tried myself I know how hard it is to get moving pictures so spot on! Big fan of your work adam!
  18. In your in the area keep an eye out for me at night. Generally parked along Kennedy street!

    Fg 565Kw

25psi in the mid. This guy doesn't need encouragement to SMASH MY DATE lol
  20. Yea definitely lower than most. Check out the fuel economy thread for others. I get about 13.8l/100 and that's pretty accurate having worked it out manually a few times before. and I think I get about 450-500kms around town and 600-650 on the highway. and that's stock standard on 98. I have a mate who has 320rwkw and he gets 13 flat around town (on trip computer so not sure if his is accurate) and he permanently drives with traction off and in performance so bad for economy. I would firstly fill it right up and check odometer. Then when you fuel up note how many litres you put in and how many kms you get out. Only way to accurately tell. I found my computer was more accurate after disconnecting the battery over night. Also you have a fairly new car with low kms so it should get a little better. For $80 I would also chuck in a K n N filter and cut a whole in the front of your airbox as this will flow better than the paper one too
  21. ^^ Yea why the green coolant? I had a quick look and it appears as though the red is 50/50 whereas green is 33/66
  22. Pay to play. if you want 22's then run the risk of getting around on 22's. If you're willing to do that then fine by me, just make sure pics go up when they're on lol
  23. Must have been bored and fell asleep on the zero key when he was typing that ad! What are people's thought's on these? Legit? Are they cheap? Not sure what ID's are worth http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/id1000-injector-fuel-ford-falcon-BA-BF-FG-turbo-xr6-xr8-typhoon-xr6t-f6-gtp-gt-/121069030544?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c3046cc90&_uhb=1#ht_500wt_1181
