E85 Price, Location And Ethanol Content
Bellato replied to XYZ's topic in Fuel System & Induction Workshop
Does anyone know where to get e85 in 44gallon drums? And roughly how much? -
Ego with 19's, nice choice! +1 for smashing your diff bushes lol. Drive it like you stole it and they'll be gone in no time. With those kms you could argue that they're f*cked anyway/ At 80,000 mine were pretty well shot and it was an ex company car. Definitely go superpro comforts, makes such a difference

I've spent 6 months and about $2k trying to fix mine! Next lot of parts are on their way to try next lol. First things first check the exhaust. My most recent suspension check (4th shop) has said they can't find anything but must be the exhaust (doesn't sound like the exhaust hitting) so gonna brace up the exhaust so it doesn't move and change of couple more parts when I get back home in 2 weeks I've replaced springs, shocks, diff bushes, control blade bushes, a couple of control arm bushes and next sway bar link pins are being changed.

No worries mate. I think from memory 4sl's put me at about 2 deg neg camber so you would probably be about 1 which isn't really enough to worry about. You will get a little tyre wear on the inside but you should be able to get 2/3 of your tyre life before you notice an issue then strip the tyres and switch sides (costs like $20) and the tyres will even out. Also the fronts should be pretty easily fixed up with some shims. Best to leave this to the bloke who will do your wheel alignment. I did mine myself but I have sssl and just loaded the bolts right up with shims and still came out with -0.7 deg camber which is good amount for turn in without ruining tyres.
-
Bit of stretch hey lol! I would have gone opposite on the offsets, because your rear will be flush n front will sit in heaps, not sure if its too late? I had the exact same tyres up until 2 days ago when the fronts were changed! Going from a 225/35 to a 245/35 the turn in is so much better and get way less understeer!

Jet you're looking at about $150 for the eccentric bushes (super pro ones actually allow for 1deg of adjustment) and the control arms are about $350. Both are available through wholesale suspension a site sponsor. Senna (pat) is great to deal with. I highly recommend the control arms as I was a tight ass n went the bushes n if you don't get them spot on you'll be back n forth pulling the arms out n pressing the bushes out n back in! The control arms are adjustable on car so are really handy!! If I did it all over again that's the way is go! Also you must note that doesn't matter what you choose the bolt at the upper inner control arm on the left side is blocked in! The only way to get it out is to drop the diff cradle so add another $300 to get that done! I found this out the hard way...
-
Yea I heard they're a bit of pain to deal with, I haven't gone through them fortunately enough! What offsets did you get and what size tyres?
-
I completely agree Daniel but I don't see that happening any time soon! I really can't see why we can't have say epic open to public drivers on friday nights when there's nothing on there and open up the burnout track and let people carry out their antics there. At the end of the day you're not insured in there so you enter at your own risk and leave it at that

Starting to think you're just a myth Daniel and don't actually exists haha -
Wednesday March 20 - Brodburger Midweek Meet & Greet
Bellato replied to Quasi XR6T's topic in Australian Capital Territory
I start work at 6 around the corner, might try get there early and see if anyone is there early and say hello -
Might write down leetho's method and take it to my tuner and see if they want to give it a go with 20l of GW. Hopefully shouldn't add too much more to cost that way, they already charge like crazy for a zf servcie
-
So are there issues to be had if a full flush isn't done first up? I'm looking at paying $160 for 8L of transmax Z with my tuner as part of a service but with the GW stuff being $250 maybe a full flush should be done? That'll increase my labour quite significantly though won't it?

Waiting for Bomber to chime in here. He's been running the RDA slotted and did have remsa pads but I think he has qfm's now. Pretty surehe did powercruise with them and rates them as good value for money. I'll let him confirm that though
-
Sits nice mate!!
-
There's also a first mods thread, great place to start. Includes what is needed when and how much $$
-
332rwkw (it should have lol). How can he guess what kw it has/would have with a tune. And no way would I pay $44,500. Theres a white f6e for sale with like 20,000kms for sale for $46k in Phillip which I would much rather buy By the sounds of it I would prefer the breeze ute lol
-
Yea and I reckon with sssl all round it would look even all around. That's just how it looks, hub to guard measurements way say otherwise
-
Yea possibly mate. What I'm going to do is fit new tyres and see if there's any rubbing then if there is I probably need to change them. I'll keep it in mind. Tyres will be going on just after easter so keep an eye out for a PM around then See the rear looks spot on but prefer the front to sit a little higher. Practically that's perfect front and rear though. Maybe king have finally got their sh*t together and made the springs so that you can just go ssl all round or sssl all round, none of this having to mix and match stuff lol. If my car sits at that with sssl I'll still be happy
-
I had my bushes replaced incorrectly by a ford dealer go figure lol. If I didn't realise they were in wrong then it probably would have been too late by time I would complain.
-
J@ just re-serviced his box. He did a full flush the first time around using the GW stuff and then when he re-serviced it 40,000kms later (or whatever it was) the oil came out like it went in and had no troubles. So I'd say if you run some oil through and flush it properly you should be right. Heaps of guys using oil other than lifeguard and they obviously had to change at some point. I'd say you'll be right
-
Hard to tell cause the photos are dark but yea sssl in the front isn't that low. I have never scraped anything other than the mudflaps and that's because they're 50mm off the ground lol. What your rear hub to guard measurement at the moment. I like where mine sit with ssssl springs but its hard to fit a heap of tyre under there. I may possibly be going up to sssl in 2 weeks because I'm going to try fit bigger tyres on. If I do I'll have my 4sl for sale
-
Yea I know what you mean about keeping a car perfect. Mine is molestered with stone chips from previous owner and I want to get them fixed up but I just know I'll respray the front and I'll hit a gutter the following day
-
Turbo are different size rotors for sure but not sure about the calipers
-
Yea a glossifier would be alright. Just bare in mind that due to the texture of the matte plastidip the glossifier empahsises that texture so you won't get like a perfectly smooth kind of look. Just something to consider
-
The 2nd is just like an xr. Every thought about trying a different colour or using black and a metalliser? I reckon black with gold metalliser would be good on that colour. I just don't know if I'm a fan of just black
