Given I chop and change between towns, one with eflex and one without I was just going to stick to a 98 tune due to issues of having to drain fuel when I change over every time I live one town for the other. I've been thinking and from what I gather the main problem is on the 98 tune if there is a few litres of eflex in the tank it will run the risk of leaning out and going boom. What is the chance of increasing the afr's on the 98 tune to say 12.5-13 (or higher?) in order to compensate. Ideally it would be best to run a wideband and eboost to keep an eye on things but I didn't realise how expensive they are. Most likely going to stick to 98 so this is more of a theoretical question, but just curious as to whether someone has done this/whether it could actually work

  3. 400hp at the wheels is 300rwkw which is nothing for the 35/40. WIth port and flapper mods that turbo is capable of 400rwkw Check out a lot of the B series and FG f6's in the 300 thread, they all would have similar mods and similar power out of the same turbo Don't let this 'guru tuner' get to you lol
  4. Nah Daniel when the tanks full he spins the left, and when empty spins the right haha so it evens out! And having been in the car you can't blame him for wearing through the tyres so quick lol
  5. Turbo side intake and battery relo is anywhere from $750 to over $1k. Rapid systems, plazmaman, process west all make them, have a search mate
  6. For big power and spool sound - Turbo side intake and battery relocation For factory look and decent power (400+) - pw street intake or growler On the cheap, cut a whole in the airbox and put a K n N in it, good for 350rwk but have seen more
  7. I got a quote for about $400 to weld up n reparations boot in black! I'm tempted one day to go up to some old bloke in a base falcon n ask for a straight swap, I'd say they'd be keen! As for centre brake light I was thinking about just buying a red led strip off ebay n wiring it up to the brake lights, thoughts?

Yea McInnes n I are out every now n then, I won't be for the next few weeks cause heading back to Griffith but once I'm back ill be out again. I dunno about the defecting cars on trailers? That would mean it would be impossible to tow drag cars

  10. If you're over the subaru turbo lag then go the FG. Not that the b series lag bad, its just that the fg has a smaller turbo so quicker spool More refined interior aswell
  11. Maybe give the chrome boot garnish a hit just to finish it off? Other than that looks good! Better than I expected it to come out
  12. Yea I agree with willow get rid of the pipe and put the stopper straight onto the crossover! I run my bov vented but tempted to block it up just for sh*ts. I still worry that a blocked/no bov isn't good for the turbo
  13. No I think the idea is that if you dont have some sort of surge tank and the car is tuned then you run the risk that when the fuel is low in the tank the in tank pump won't be sucking up enough fuel and you'll lean out. The surge tank options prevent this from happening

  16. Pretty cheap and easy fix if you're willing to do it yourself. Theres a tutorial or 2 on here somewhere
  17. My Fg says its 20 degrees in 45 degree heat, just too lazy to have it fixed

  21. TPS? When my ba Xr6 wouldn't start pretty sure ford diagnosed it as being the tps, once I changed that never had a problem ever again
  22. I understand where you're coming from ms but if you can save (in my case $400) on the x3 when its unmarried and has unlocks left then what's the harm in that? I just want to know how to check its unmarried so when a mate goes to look at it for me they can see for themselves that it's physically unmarried. I wouldn't rely on what someone tells me or what a picture from them shows
