Just fitted 2 new tyres on the rear! Talk about tight squeeze! my offsets mustn't be what I was told

No pics or vids unforunately... Today changed radius bushes and rear link pins. Seems like a big waste of money as both we're fine (pedders told me they were shagged and needed changing)

^^ Seriously? I've heard turbo's with full 3.5" exhausts quieter than mine and at low revs mine is just as loud as my old mans 5.4 GT with extractor back exhaust (doesn't sound as good but is as loud)

I think they're pretty similar. If you don't want loud then make sure you replace the muffler with hotdog. Straight pipe loud

I think you can either buy a BA and spend money over time fixing things that break or save a bit more and at least go for a BF. The internals will be fine for 300 at the fly but both the manual and auto boxes are much better than in the BA But as J@ said even the BF is getting old now but if that's all you can afford then buy within your limits

Bit of a thread mine lol How so Ratter? Going to be running FG with 3.5" dump, 100cell cat and rear muffler delete going for 310rwkw on 98 and hopefully around to 340 on eflex and I'll have 90,000kms at tune time

My bearings should be right because with the car jacked up I tried to shake the wheels and nothing! Will be trying the next few things on tuesday so touch wood!

I'm going away friday morning but given I'll finish assessments for the semster as of tonight anyone keen for a bit of a cruise on thursday night? Maybe just for an hour or so, do a few photo's etc?

Haha yea mate well I might try get out with mcinnes on thursday night but no plans as of yet, I'll post in ACT thread if we go. See in my car I have cut open airbox, K n N filter and rear muffler delete for straight pipe on stock tune Mcinnes has Plaz turbo side intake, 3.5" turbo back di filippo exhaust and 320rwkw. at idle mines louder, pick up to 2000rpm mines still louder in the exhaust while his is sucking quite a bit and at WOT you an just hear a bit on induction and turbo spool but his is really loud spool and induction (sounds awesome) I think for what you're after power wise just cut the intake open at the bottom and a put a K n N, then just do the cat and delete rear muffler and replace with a hotdog. I think the straight pipe would be too loud if your mrs is gonna complain and you'll pick up a little bit of sound from the cat

Double check that the ICC is pushed in all the way back and that none of the pins on the plug (at the back) are bent or out of place. Other thing is to check that all the plugs in the bottom of the ICC (I think theres 4 from memory) are plugged in. Happened to me before in my BA

Much of muchness really. Some say their good value, others won't touch them. Cop cars all get flogged but most private cars get a good thrash every now and then too so its too hard to know. As boost69 said if you can find one with decent kms and its in good condition then that's all you can really check for

If I remember correctly stock afr's are up around 14? Yea well that's what I'm thinking. I have a servo with 98 literally across the road for me so running the tank almost empty isn't hard.

I like the CHR's better. Get them in silver and just change colour using plastidip when you're bored! Pretty sure there was a Black typhoon that had the CH's, then the CHR's (in black though) same sizes. Have a search through the wheel threads and you'll find him

I found with my rear muffler removal that most of the sound is below 2500 revs. At WOT its all intake and turbo spook. Not sure if using a hotdog would be any different but I'd imagine its the same just quieter
