  1. ^^ lol all good mate, figured you been a bit busy!
  2. What's the chance of organising an xr6turbo event. There's about a dozen of us on here now so we could probably get a decent group together and do a good deal?
  3. Farkk that sucks mate! All the best with fixing it up!
  4. Sounds good mate! I think all plans on a more recent cruise kind of fell through lol, just keep an eye out here and if something comes up you'll know Give a couple of tuners and exhaust shops in the area a call, one's bound to have a stock system lying around. A couple of guys on here might be able to help get that car regoed aswell not sure.. What bike do you ride?
  5. ^ but in saying that in terms of a built motor if you're gonna do it, do it properly. Other mods fair enough because they're relatively 'cheap'. I wouldn't want to do the motor in bits and pieces, the labour would kill your back pocket. Went into the impound the other day for something and got chatting about a few things and by the sounds of it he isn't all that much cheaper than Gentech. By the sounds the tuners in Canberra seem to be relatively close price wise (doesn't surprise me, if they're all expensive there's no advantage and they all make more money lol) In saying that if you work out exactly what you want it works out a lot cheaper. I found a lot of the local tuners have their packages and that's sort of it for a basic power level that doesn't take account of future goals etc For example Gentech quotes $795 for you're injectors drilled and reflowed and they're capable of going to about 350rwkw. But you can source ID1000's from Herrod for $710 posted, $120 for fitting and so for $830 you have a better quality injector that is capable of 400+ and if you want you could probably sell your stock injectors for $50 and then you're financially better off too. Provided you do some research and shop around for parts you can end up with a tune not that much more expensive than Sydney or Melbourne and the quality of the tune will be just as good I've started gathering parts and my car is booked in for middle of July so if curious of prices and how things go PM me about then I can let you know
  6. On the way to uni this morning there was a story of a 20yr old guy from Goulburn who won $31m in powerball over the weekend and got me thinking what sort of car would I buy and to be honest I couldn't think, just had too many options to choose. What would you buy and why?

^ isn't there a supplier locator on their website?
  8. As long as they're all good brands then spot on! Have a look through 300kw section and you'll get an idea of brands
  9. Octane may be a new FPV colour but not new Ford colour in general. That's the orange you see on FG's getting around
  10. Try Mick at the Impound in Mitchell. I was speaking to him the other day and he just got rid of a heap for scrap but he kept one or 2. Not sure what model and whether sedan or ute though. If you're not in a rush I'm sure he can get one for you when it comes up then do the swap there for you. Also if in Canberra jump over to ACT section and introduce you and your car
  11. Yea decided to stay in. I've been keeping an eye on the facebook page and just wanted to see how things develop and whether it becomes good or not.
  12. Won't need longer studs for wheel spacers. I currently have 5mm up front and plenty of wheel stud left, but I would want custom spacers if you're going to use them on a track, normal slip ons wouldn't be ideal
  13. Anyone know where I can get 15mm bolt on spacers? I found heaps with right centre bore size but different thread types and can't be effed running different wheel nuts front and rear
  14. Wouldn't you be better off with a 3.5 or 4 bomber because when changing turbo it won't cost that much more to have the turbo mods done while its all apart?
  15. I don't think I need to say anything
  16. Yea I've seen worse lol I had 255/35 on a 10inch and it was stretched just as much if not more than that and it was fine. Given a 275 is meant to be 20mm wider give or take an an 11inch rim is 25mm wider I can't see there being much of an issue 9.5's with 245 up front and 11's with 275 on the rear. Stretch should match that way
  17. I'm training to be a lawyer, want me to try get full custody of her for you? Haha Let her have the big red car lol
  18. I'll go have a chat with my tuner again after uni today and see if this is worth it for my goals and let you know.
  19. I think I might make an appearance tonight, dunno if I'll be in my car or mcinnes though
  20. I think it could work with a bit of guard work and some negative camber and a 275 but like I said that's just a guess. Is there a rep nearby that can let you test fit?
  21. Was that you on facebook selling it old mate? I'd be interested to see if anyone has run a 3" split. Might have to have another chat with my tuner and if it goes cheap enough on ebay it might do the job
