  1. Iv seen a 285/30 on 8" wide rim! 255 isn't recommended on 8" but can be done.
  2. Lol. It's lower because overall rolling diameter is different
  3. xxr wheels can get from most places for similar prices. nlmotoring are good according to most http://www.nlmotoring.com/XXR-Wheels-962-s/48.htm Yea well closest I found to what I want so far is 19x8.5 +17 about same amount of low and they have a bit of rubbing, I just need to check how much guard work and camber on there's to find out As for the rears, not worried about the guards, just the control blade. I've read of a few that have done +42. I just need to get underneath my car and measure to check that's all Yea I realise they're not the 'best' quality and I'm hoping the higher profile can help take some of the impact. But in saying that if one does break they aren't overly expensive to get another set sent over. Can either pay $300 to get another sent over from the states or $1000 to get another set and keep the rest as spares or sell them cheap to someone
  4. Nah not the look I'm after. I can get the 522's for $1000 delivered from the states n waiting for some quotes locally Thanks anyway pazz
  5. Xxr 522's Going for a similar look to a guy unr33l on ford forums Okay post it up n ill have a look. Probably shouldn't upgrade wheels incase something goes wrong when it's on te dyno in a couple of months
  6. Yea only difference though my car is fairly low and at the moment currently running -1deg in the rear and -0.7 up front, might take the fronts out to -1 if need be Nah currently run 35 and 30 on 20's so 40 and 35 on 19's will be the same as what I have now and speedo is only out 3-4%
  7. 19x8.5 +15 with 245/40/19 19x10 +42 with 275/35/19 Close call on front guards and close to control blade in the rear? Should look about even side on though?
  8. Should be all the same. Only benefit I could see though is that its got a lot less kms than yours mate so will feel a lot better
  9. Comes with hub rings, that's a good sign. As for quality it doesn't say the brand name so don't think anyone will be able to give you to much there
  10. Xxr reckon you can choose offset but everywhere has set offsets, anyone know where I can get them with choice of offsets
  11. Not sure, I can't imagine many guys on here have them to tell you because previously only made pretty ghey wheels Hey Henz wheres best place to get xxr wheels in aus and/or US?
  12. Okay when you swap them over can you check the inside of the wheel and see what the offsets are? Also pretty keen to see how 9.5 +30 go up front!
  13. Gee want to hope fitment is spot on to the mm if you're gonna spend that kind of coin on custom wheels Any hints as to what they'll look like or wait n see?
  14. Cheap for 15's but how much for 18 or 20's? PDW been around for a while though
  15. I would highly suggest using another can or at least the rest of that half can. It appears thick enough now but wait till you try peel it off, it's crap. The thicker it is the easier it comes off later. Helps especially for those areas where theres a v shape and hard to rub off if it doesn't peel good
  16. Nah not the look im going for Thanks! They don't look small at all when the car's lowered a little. That was the main thing I was worried about. I'm guessing front is 19x8.5 and about +35?
  17. I would just peel it off and start again! Just do really really light coats (should take 5 or 6 coats before it even covers it completely). Do 15-20 coats like that and should cut itself properly Nope! You can get grey which is darker but that's it. Have a look on the main plastidip website, they have all the colours on there
  18. Yea had a look through but hoping there was a few more around. It covers mostly 20's black background with machine face Wrong lol. I'm gonna come plastidip your bonnet purple when you're not looking
  19. After pics of aftermarket 19's on an FG. Sedan preferred but utes will help too for fronts Also can you post offsets and tyre sizes Thinking I want a bit of a change from 20's and something with more sidewall for more comfort and grip Might as well add an EOI for my 20' staggered vertini magics Cheers
  20. They're out there but not cost effective. Just compensate for the weight with more power lol
  21. Yea twisities look way better black! I love this stuff, can do so much with it and remove it if you don't like it.
  22. Yea light weight would be good but only for race car drivers like you that go to wakefield is that necessary haha New wheels hey? Want to buy mine? I'm looking at getting a new set lol Yea about $150 for just the wrap but can be done with the help of a mate or your mrs. I wouldn't be too worried about rust, because vinyl has stretch to it, stones shouldn't pierce the vinyl and remove the primer. Plus If I did vinyl wrap it would only be a temporary thing until I was ready/could afford to paint. Yea choice of colour would be harder. Good old carbon fibre grey always goes alright.
  23. ^^ agreed. Seen a BA ute that had fibreglass front end and xr 8 bonnet. Then one day at the panel beater getting something done and it comes in on the back of the tow truck from a front end smash what a mess! shards of fibreglass went everywhere through the motor, cut lines and made a mess. Plus because it shattered at the hinges it went up and smashed the windscreen. Panel beater said if there was about twice the cost in repairs than would have been had everything been plastic and metal
  24. I wonder how well something like this would work on a stock FG cooler just to get you to 300 or even max the turbo out
