  1. Yea sign of wear on the clutches I believe, won't do it on the manual shifts because shift points are increased so doesn't allow for the flare. A good zf tune will help reduce this from occurring further In saying that, still potentially a lot of life left in the box
  2. 21/14 is 10+ months old. Not ideal to have tyres sitting around for 10 months before going on a car. In saying that not sure what most places consider as 'new' tyres. Pretty sure my tyres were all put on within about 3 months of manufacture
  3. Seen hurricane 3.5" go 450rwkw. They sound good too

Wouldn't think someone as pedantic as you would put magnetic L plates on the car. They scratch the sh*t out of cars
  5. You still need 245/35 front and 275/30 rear. Profile is a percentage of width so 35% of 245 is the same (or close enough) to 30% of 275 Ba bf could only fit 30 front but fg can fit 35, I would not run a 30 profile when there is no need
  6. Safe as houses those offsets! I guarantee it! By the way you would be looking at a 275/30 on the rear not 35 as the 30 profile will match the rolling diameter of the fronts at 245/35
  7. High number is further in. 43 is crap so I'd say 35 would be what most chose
  8. If I remember correctly you ran bulk camber to make those wheels and big tyres work though didn't you tocchi?
  9. Fg can go from 220-230 to 260-270rwkw with just a tune. After that need injectors, cat and cooler pipes to make 290-300 then need a cooler after that. M1rkz search 'pingtune' on the forums and see what comes up about intunes generic tunes... Plenty of threads including first mods thread! Good place to start guys!
  10. Who doesn't love a good screamer Honestly, I'm just young and stupid and love the sound of them! As mentioned in my case will also pose as a benefit if the exhaust is too restrictive. Can always plumb it back in down the track when I grow up lol Not questioning someone who tunes these cars for a living but I would have thought that the frequency of exhaust out a screamer would be different to that detectable by the knock sensor? I would have thought through headphones you may still be able to detect knock over the screamer also?
  11. As mentioned KTS. Otherwise Kinugawa do one too I think. Shops like precision turbos in Sydney supply and fit one, not sure what brand they use though
  12. Okay thanks! And so on e85 this isn't an issue?
  13. Excuse the ignorance, but how does the screamer effect the inability to hear knock?
  14. Mate if you're happy then all good, but hit the strips a few times and see where your mph is at. All it means is that you don't have the 'dyno figure' you think you have. Maybe find a member from another tuner around that area with similar mods and go for a drive with them and see if there's any difference in cars
  15. Xr6turbo developments are now doing good deals on external gate and screamer set ups at $900 but just wondering if there are issues with tuning them? I have heard that because the o2 sensors don't pick up the true exhaust flow it can be a problem to tune? What issues are there with general driveability, increased fuel consumption etc? I'm only going for 350rwkw so I know internal gate will do the job but gonna cost me $500 for port and flapper, actuator etc or $900 for screamer set up and to be honest its more for wank factor that I'd go screamer, I just love the sound. The other benefit is I'm only running 3.5" dump and cat with rear muffler delete so this will help significantly on the exhaust flow side of things and subsequently my stock valve springs too. Cheers
  16. Just spend $100 on decent clamps and it will work out alright. Believe it or not the rapid kit has some of the best clamps out of the lot, but when you bought them you had to wait about a year to get them
  17. Lots of turbo options, could even come close on factory low mount and that means you save $1k on manifold plus can buy an off the shelf dump pipe rather than something custom. Fuel system, 1500cc injectors, PW surge with twin 460's, twin feed rail, fuel reg. $2500 Exhaust $1500 Glide and tailshaft probably $8-10k Motor depends on if you build it or not. I think the spool rebuild kit is $1100 or so. If you can build and install the motor yourself then should come close to $15-20k, but as all know budget more because sh*t goes wrong and breaks
  18. Your 60ft is average but not ridiculous. A poor launch won't affect mph much if at all http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/63716-fg-turbo-current-top-50/ Check that thread out. You'll find what a lot are running time and mph wise. Then can search the members to find a build thread which should say their power and mods. Give you something to cross reference
  19. that's a very wide trans cooler! Doesn't look like you have a cooler that goes up into the top grill so personally would have put it there and not blocked the front of the intercooler at all. My drivetech cooler is taller and less wide, I put it behind the fog light because no room in from of the cooler lol
  20. Tuned properly? Not finished tuning it yet?
  21. Someone correct me but 120mph is more like 320-340rwkw? I think 420rwkw on most dyno's is like 130+mph
  22. If that's what they recommend then go with that but if you want to go more power down the track bigger injectors are a good idea and there are seemingly better brands. Maybe suggest id1000's or kpm 1000's n see what they say
  23. With 420rwkw on e85 should see low to mid 11's on street tyres and into the 10's on et's from what I understand. What was your mph? A pic of the timeslip is probably easier
