  1. ^^ agreed Plus surely the 6 piston's are longer or wider but at least a couple of mm and would cause dramas
  2. Been back and forth with the old man (he's back home and I'm in Canberra) and he said he measured his hub to guard with just a full tank of fuel and its measuring up at 340mm! He spoke to the guys at King and they said that KFRL-68HD will put him at 370mm hub to guard. Is it possible that the factory springs have sagged 30mm? Its only got 55,000kms The car's always had camber problems but was something we always put down to carting heaps of people and luggage and every wheel alignment we get things changed but is it possible that the springs aren't as high a spring rate as they're meant too be. It was like build number 50 in BF's and when it was picked up it didn't even have the front bar on because it wasn't ready yet, is it possible they rushed to put the car together and the wrong springs went in or they weren't made properly? Would make sense as to why car sags so much with people in it and has such bad camber problems. We're thinking about replacing the springs with sslHD's in order to keep the current hub to guard height. Ever seen anything like this pat?
  3. Just the flutter created from the intake, doesn't sound like an issue If you're worried get it run up on a dyno and check your air fuel ratio
  4. Was looking at a cheap set of wheels to put sh*t tyres on for spares/skid wheels but also want the option to put et's on in the future, are 7" wide 17's going to be too narrow I know I should just go buy xr wheels but I found a set of $100 and probably only going to buy 2 for $50
  5. Well guards are about 1 inch above tyre standard and sag to about half way down the tyre so a fair amount, wouldn't know exactly how much camber its creating Well they do make them for the rear of falcons (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/281158453985?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649) just wasn't sure how good they were Yea spring spacers are the same price as new springs so would be better off buying new HD springs if that was the case Yea the adjustable spring perches are a good idea, just wonder how much they can raise the height of the car though as most companies probably design them to lower the car? I'm hoping pat will see this at some point and chime in
  6. Hey guys my old man's gt scrubs tyres out big time because he only ever uses it when fully loaded with people and full boot (200kg+) so I'v looked into the possible options to fix it and want peoples thoughts on what would be best 1. Polybags in the rear springs. These are a relatively cheap option and can set them up without much difficult but just curious as to how they affect handling and travel because he doesn't want to jeopardise the ride too much 2. I haven't found out excatly if they can do it, but was thinking about ringing king and seeing if they do a replacement height HD spring with a much higher spring rate so there is less sag when the car is full loaded but then doesn't raise the car anymore than what it is now 3. Adjustable upper control arms. Now these are more expensive. To use these I would think you'd have to screw them out to create a bit of positive camber such as +0.5 or a fraction higher so that when the car squats with the weight there is much less neg camber. I think the HD springs or the polybags are the best idea, polybags primarily provided they don't affect the ride at all and are quite easy to adjust Cheers

    560Rwkw Ba Ute

17psi, that's awesome! Chuck up a dyno graph
  8. How old was the car and how many kms? The older and more kms less chances of arguing the fact, but again reputable tuners and mechanics have said they do get brittle, I wouldn't 'delicately' take my oil cap off thinking it could break and fall in. I think that it's just bad luck unfortunately and as mentioned should try see if mechanic will give you an allow cap at cost or thereabouts and no one is really at a loss I want some cake too
  9. If you're getting the bushes done I highly recommend having the springs and polybags put in the rear at the same time as the labour will be nothing as they have to pull them out anyway! You can keep to standard springs but I think stock height kings are a slightly higher spring rate so a bit firmer but pat will confirm that.Shouldn't have to change fronts to match rears either if that's your concern
  10. Anyone own this? That would have hurt the back pocket http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QsQf-dLv23s
  11. Not interested in putting this on my car at all but just curious to know what's the difference between the linked cheapo gtx and a genuine garrett? I'm guessing build quality but what exactly? Possible shaft play etc Has anyone actually used something like this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/GTX3582R-Turbo-charger-Dual-Ball-bearing-with-CNC-Billet-Wheel-T3-Tur-A-R-82-/121173410908?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c367f845c&_uhb=1
  12. Got a letter from my work (job when home from uni) to say that I haven't worked for a couple of months and if I don't ring and provide a good reason why by friday I get the sack. Yet last time I came home from uni I was keen to work because I needed the $$ and got 3 days work in 5 weeks because they have money for wages apparently Been 7 years but time for a new job I think
  13. XFT or monsta torque if you're in perth Close thread..
  14. I think from memory everything is good in superpro except for inner toe arm in the rear, keep them oem (probably still replace with new factory bushes) and lower shock mount in the front.
  15. Best off saving your money and spending it on bolt on upgrades As mentioned valve springs and possibly fg cams are all that need to be done

    Xyz Brakes

^ for a couple of hundred more race brakes in Sydney do 6 pot bremo's with pads, discs and brackets (not sure about braided lines) so I'd probably stick with brembo's
  17. Yea can't get 19's staggered full stop, let alone aftermarket. Its 20's or nothing unfortunately
  18. You talking about the silver ones? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/FORD-FPV-20-STAGGERED-DARK-ARGENT-SILVER-XR8-XR6-GT-/251096263272?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a7680ea68&_uhb=1
  19. Apple and appstore! I need to answer my security questions that I set 4 years ago to buy an app but don't remember them and only way to reset them is to ring apple! I'm not sitting on the phone for an hour to spend $2 on an app! Not the smartest move making it hard for people to spend money apple..
  20. I won't be, still in Griffith. Should be back on the weekend but won't be doing much cruising for a couple of weeks
  21. From what I've read gtx3576 is good for about 380rwkw on 98 and over 400 on the corn juice. Still got that punch down low but gives it a bit more up top over its little brother Nice build
  22. 19x8.5 +25 and 19x9.5 +35 should be right for a good enough stance n no guard work at your height
  23. Have you noticed the pump to be noisey at all henz or haven't got it up and running yet?
