  1. You haven't found an answer because there is no answer. It is known that oil starvation causes turbo's to die, blocked bov's not so much
  2. Fixed up my boost gauge, ran new hoses and clamps. Tuner played around with it and it started playing up. So far so good, hopefully the sensor isn't stuffed from getting dirt into it
  3. Haven't precision really changed the design of their recently making it more reliable? GTX3576 - generally make 350-380rwkw on 98 GTX3582 - make 400 easy on 98 and a lot more on e85 MTA 750 - makes about 400 on 98 Precision 6235 - same as gtx 82 but earlier boost and higher peak power I'd imagine xft would recommend precision, isn't that what they have on their f6E?
  4. When hot im only getting 1.8l/hr so not that bad, wondering if they're actually stuffed or not
  5. As said not a common problem if regular maintenance and the like, probably blocked oil feed line. GCG do good work so they should have it all running well now. Yes redbook is wrong but fee free to haggle. I wouldn't be paying more than $18k for an 08 with 100,000kms. If you can't find one that cheap in good enough condition wait a bit longer. I paid $20k for an 08 2 years ago with 78,000 and it had tech pack and sunroof.
  6. There's a few company's around that use 4 wheels to make 2, but expect to pay the same price as a new set of wheels. Some companies weld them, some make them 2 piece without welds. Best off browsing for 2nd hand staggered 17's or 18's. Can get a set for $500 with roadworthy tread generally
  7. Why don't you try block of the bov first with $10 worth of door stops and clamps and see what you think of that first? If you don't know much about cars then chances are the flutter will suffice as dose and save you a lot less hassle
  8. Any news on this? I've been getting gradually worse fuel consumption on my FG and was looking at changing both o2 sensors, want to make sure I do it right
  9. Depends what you're goals are. For less than $150 if that includes the pod then I would go with it over sourcing a 2nd hand v8/f6 box and K n N panel filter, won't see much of a gain over stock as the stock system has been proven top flow well
  10. Plug it in your car, go into settings, if it says unlocked/unmarried then its right to sell
  11. Holy crap didn't realise they made that much difference. I would want something like what ratter is talking about. Would hate to have a varex closed then forget when you get under it and theres no exhaust flow
  12. Rapid cooler, polished, c**** to fit Looks good though lol
  13. Got boost graph over power graph too see? Can't see why tuner would just let boost drop off 7psi if they could hold it in there
  14. Pretty much all your questions can be answered by just looking at the PW website...Have a look Stage 1 rated to about 400rwkw, stage 2 I think 500
  15. I'm no expert but isn't 18psi tapering to 11 boost spike?
  16. In your sig it says you made 18psi, did it not taper off at all? If so to what psi?
  17. BBS LM replicas. Pazzo has a set for sale
  18. sh*t fuel? Maybe try a different servo for a couple of tanks?
  19. As above, it's more so when the dump size is increased to 4". In saying that it does help the tuner control boost spike even with just the cat modded, every car reacts differently
  20. Veva is it safe to say that the fact that the mta 750 is a slightly smaller turbo, which meant more responsive?
  21. Gentech here in Canberra. Next time will be CMS, but I know what I want out of a tune nowadays n no what can go wrong so joe will know exactly what I want when he gets the car
  22. In all honest tuner shouldn't let the car out of the workshop without cold starting it the next day just to make sure it's running right. I had to go back to my tuner 4 times to fix my tune and yea that's good of them to fix it, but next time I'll be travelling a few hours for a tune and not gonna make the trip a couple of times just because the tuner got lazy that day...
  23. Yea surge tank is good insurance. Kudos for not holding back because of a disability!
  24. Change your 2 week plans to 2moro and get in on a dyno to have it at least checked if not have it tuned. You have some good tuners in and around the gold coast
