  1. Yea that's why most people seem to go with a ssl/sssl combo, one lower in the rear. The king springs work on lowering the car by xx mm from factory. Because as senna said the rear sits much higher from factory you still maintain the rake
  2. Same thing was happening with mine since I had the zf serviced with gulf western syntrans. Took it to a different shop to get looked at and it was down 500ml and the flare seems to have gone away. Its only been a few days so giving it a few more cold mornings before I jump to conclusions but for me I think it was incorrect oil level which cause it to flare
  3. Ute's with auto too low can do tailshaft bearings 20's on a ute don't look big but don't look small either 22's will mean paying heaps of $$ for tyres or buy cheap tyres that don't grip for sh*t. It will look good and they'll fit in the rear of the ute but won't be practical. 20's with low works well on these cars and can still run decent tyre
  4. Yea I don't have a decent pressure washer available here in canberra, will have to wait till I go home next. Power steering feels fine and not using any oil so hopefully nothing too bad
  5. Nah repco have change the boots, its not rubbing on the shock.
  6. Had a ford mechanic look at it today and he thinks the pump seems to be alright, he thought it's more likely to be the timing case leaking :/ Never heard of that being an issue, is that a common ford problem? It's only the smallest amount of oil because the oil level has never dropped on me
  7. Hey guys, Got an FG xr6t and had the right inner cv die the other day and had the shaft replaced with one from repco and every since the car has developed a squeak. It sounds like rubber rubbing on something but been under it on a hoist a few times and can't find the sound. My mechanic also put a stethoscope thing and not a single thing coming from the inner cv which is where it sounds like its coming from. Car has 4sl springs, monroe shock, superpro diff bushes, pedders control balde bushes, new upper and lower outer control arm bushes and new sway bar links. The rubber seat mount is a bit warn but not quite all the way through. So that is possibly it doesn't sound like its coming from there Anyone had similar issues? Potential issue with the repco shaft? It doesn't affect the way the car drives but so over the sound!!
  8. Just keeps pulling till redline hey! Based on that it comes onto the same boost level of the factory turbo a few hundred rpm later but yea keeps going. Very linear power curves on both tunes! I want one but only want to go to about 16-17psi and go for high 300's until I build the box!
  9. Provided your shocks haven't sh*t themselves, I reckon possibly the upper outer control arm bushes. I had a similar noise. Changed diff bushes and shocks, then control blade bushes, then sway bar links then finally upper and outer control arm bushes and it finally went away
  10. Yea mate ebay special off a mob in Sydney. Business is called Biz Supplies and they use ebay primarily to see. Tips: - Clean the car well and just do each panel with wax and grease remover as you do it - take off whatever panels you can. I didn't take my bumpers off through sheer laziness and I regret it because you can see the joins especially around the foggies - Start from the flatest part of the surface and work your way to curves because you can stretch around them at the end. I did doors from top down. Side skirts from front to back. QUarters started in the middle (height wise) then went up and down etc. I would start with doors first, I found them to be the easiest - Other than that get a mate to give you a hand and you will owe him a few beers at the end of it all lol I haven't used 3m, avery or the like but I can't complain with the application of the cheaper stuff. It has air release backing and creases easily straighten back out with heat. The biggest (potential) problem is residue sticking to the surface on removal but yet to deal with that and will update when I do. No doubt the better brands would be much better for someone on a budget it worked and have had plenty of positive comments despite my short cuts lol 20m without roof will get you by. I bought 30m just to be safe as it wasn't all that much more expensive.
  11. Sorry to hear everything that's gone on mate! Pretty sure Superpro have a lifetime warranty and haven't heard off any tearing apart. Maybe give their tech guys a call and pick their brains, could be a dodgy batch or something
  12. Very very interested to see this especially in comparison to the previous tune! I also thought 430 was a bit high on 98 but can't question simon's tuning
  13. that's a heap of guard work but pulled it off. Just dial in a bit of camber and you'll be fine! Iw ould flare the rear guards a bit to try make it look the same across the whole car and you can put a wider tyre on too then (if you can handle losing the stretch
  14. Tell your mate I'll buy the fg for $10k and I'll come pick it up tomorrow!
  15. Not that its of much help but had a similar problem with my car and sent it back to the tuner until they fixed it. It is in the tune and not the hardware based on my experience. Get your tuner to contact some of the good tuners over here in Aus and some may be willing to offer some advice
  16. Doesn't look like any of the hoses are in issue but will take a better look Yea if I run the car it sounds normal then start turning the wheel it makes a noise. The pulley has been a bit noisey in recent times aswell Nah not enough doughnuts. Car has seen a few powerskids but never seen a doughnut (in my possession anyway) Cheers Kosij I'll double check its the pump and give them a call monday morning!
  17. Should do if cradle is bang on centre but may need a slight guard roll
  18. I've got a mate with a genuine bar for sale if you're interested send me a pm
  19. Pic will do the talking, Oil sprayed all over the motor in between turbo and power steering pump. Pump is a little noisey but nothing major I initially thought head gasket but a mate told me it probably isnt and possible power steering pump is on its way out? if it is what's the best option for a replacement? There's one on ebay that's a reconditioned genuine one for $150 posted, or should I try a low km one off a wreck?
  20. Yea not 100% sure, haven't looked that far into tailshafts Sounds good mate, I think 500+rwkw is in order lol
  21. 22x9.5 with about a +35-40 offset should fit
  22. Won't be long before no more 11's...
  23. Definitely need a cat to hit 300. Use the injectors your tuner wants to use
  24. Yea don't waste your time changing mate, Elite does good work
