  1. I run 40 front and the rear depends on the tyres I have. Last set had them at 28 to try get some grip out of them. New tyres on thursday and will start them at 38 and work down till I'm happy
  2. If you're doing it yourself and really want to save money go BFII springs. Most of the costs is in the labour and would hate to spend the labour and get BF ones in just for you to do future mods down the track and have to redo them again

    Remsa Pads

Mine don't squeal but low speed stops they make like a scratching sound. A couple of 100 to 0 stops cleans them up a little but not much. Do the remsas have to be chamfered, I thought I read that somewhere?
  4. That could explain my economy then but thermostat would help in 45 degree summer. Pro's and con's I guess
  5. Its tuned for the lower temp. tuner recommended lower temp thermostat
  6. I ordered them today hoping for the best. Comparison's can be made to n6000 but meant to be grippier. Being a newer model hopefully its better! I'll be paying $225 for 275/30/20
  7. Mick will a low temp thermostat have a negative impact on fuel economy?
  8. Not much better, 300 is its limits for good intake temps
  9. 100% agree. Die hard Ford fan but don't mind seeing scotty win for GRM. I think Scotty will be the next lowndes. Only 20 years old and already winning races in a manufacturers debut season!
  10. Closer to 350rwkw, 6/4 brembos, some camber, full slicks and a decent driver and you'll get close around a track
  11. Same here, my tune only gets me about 400 out of a tank around town with ID1000's. I've heard the bigger injectors can be part of the problem but from what I understand the rest is in the tune. Pretty sure my tune is quite rich down low when it doesn't need to be because if I thrash the car around all week I get the same fuel consumption as if I put about
  12. Factory cooler will be right up to like 290rwkw, anymore and you start to push it. Cheap ebay cooler is only good for about 300 so a waste of money.
  13. As toads said for the 19's As for those 20's the rears will be touch and go. You'll need no more than a 275 tyre and rolled and pumped guards but will look awesome

    Remsa Pads

I don't experience anywhere near the dust people complain about with the remsas. They are a bit dusty but nothing ridiculous... Using RDA slotted and dimpled rotors which could make a difference On a side note, anyone's remsas noisey as? Mine got really 'scratchy', took them out and roughed them up and went quiet and now 2 months later same thing.. Don't really want to take them off and rough them up every couple of months
  15. Apart from the 6 week wait and missing parts.... Seems to work well and sounds good. Except the fittings for bov plumbing and breather plumbing are in a sh*t location. The straight fitting supplied for BOV fitting wouldn't work with cooler pipes so had to buy an elbow. Not sure if they just weld the bung on anywhere or actually think about where it should go...
  16. Everything sounds rights except potentially the external gate but not familiar with that turbo at all so might actually require external gate
  17. Yea a lot of 'performance' tyres seem to have grip die away quite rapidly when tread is low. I only do 14,000kms a year so don't want to be caught with sh*t tyres that last forever when I know what the achilles are like
  18. Hey guys, went to order a couple of 275/30/20 Achilles ATR 2 today and my tyre guy's suppliers out indefinitely and my tyres are delaminating so need to change to something. The supplied can get nexen N'fera SU1's for the same price which are a more expensive tyre for the same price. Can't find any reviews on them and have never heard of them before. Just wondering if anyone has ever heard of them or heard anything about them? I know what nexen's are like generally but never heard of this particular model And no invo's aren't an option because they are overkill for me and can't afford the low treadwear of them
  19. I thought my motospecs sourced gasket was rubber? (can't remember exactly) Is that not right? Doesn't appear to have been leaking at all because gearbox was checked over 2 weeks ago
  20. I think you can go through 'bluestreak performance' to get the cat600 bushes
  21. Provided it is the same brand going up from 265 to 275 will be 10mm wider so 5mm further out at the guard. Can work it out on that basis
  22. Depends what look you want. With the rears your best bet is +35 as this will be as close as you can get in the guards and will still poke a fraction. With a 275 and the caber of lowering the car should work. As for the front all depends what look you want. Generally a 9.5+25 with a 245 should work and stretch will match the rear
  23. Worried about the front or rear? Both should be fine, rear could possibly rub and if it does nothing a slight guard roll won't fix
