Hey guys want some advice on 2 choices I'm looking at. 2006 BF MKII sedan manual, 80,000kms (colour screen but not climate control and aftermarket 18's) asking $21,500 or 2007 BF MKII sedan manual, 115,000kms (climate control, partial leather) asking $19,500 I didn't wanna go to many kms but whats peoples experience with these kind of kms. Like would the savings justify any maintenance I may have to fork out? I realise discs/pads and suspension is probably a bit overdue for a change, but within the first 12 months I'll be upgrading all that anyway. Cheers

Hey guys I'd say this has been asked before but couldn't quite find anything specific. I'm looking at buying a BF (hopefully MKII) xr6t and im not gonna budge on getting a manual so that leaves me very few options. So basically I need to consider buying ones with different kms, Ideally I want something around 80,000 but if you guys think that theres not much maintenance required beyond 100,000kms then I might consider cars with more kms. So basically what I'm wondering is at what kms does certain maintenance need to be done on this model in manual and how much are these services? Cheers

Okay yes your right. I guess I wasn't being specific enough I personally don't want anything with more than like 80,xxxkms so I guess I never really considered that there were so many on there cause I always did searches under 100,xxxkms. (I also want manual but I realised they're so much harder to find). I guess there are a lot of autos for sale around that price, my bad lol

Hey PookeyMaster I been looking for BF MKII sedans for a while now and they're definately isn't a lot around the $20k mark. If you know where there are please let me know cause on carsales and equivalent websites there isn't a great deal

2 12's with the amp mounted behind the box. Box sits bout 2 inch's over the dip for the spare wheel. Definately wanna fibreglass next time but it does the job alright for a uni student I guess lol Ps I attached the pic, not sure if it worked or not though

I wish that was the case. Im not sure what you were looking at exactly but comparing 06-07 BF turbo with about 70,000kms theres a good $2k difference between them. That's why its making the decision so hard for me cause money is a big thing cause I only work part time cause Im at Uni

The problem is that they're not. The auto is considerably cheaper when comparing same year, model, kms etc

Nah I'm looking for a sedan anyway and I can't buy one at the moment cause I need to sell my XR6 first and can't get by without a car at the moment I live in central NSW and Canberra (Uni student) and that sounds like a great buy. However I can't buy a turbo until I sell my car and I need my car at the moment cause travelling between my 2 addresses frequently, I guess I really underestimated how some guys treat their modified cars and I completely get what you and the other guys mean I guess I won't rule out modified cars while I'm looking around now but I still need suggestions as to whether extra kms is that bad and whether I should sacrafice my desire for a manual in order to save some cash

Hi guys I currently have a BA MKII XR6 with the 4 speed auto, however I'm looking to upgrade to an XR6T. I've done a bit of research (primarily on this forum) and I've established that I'd be shooting myself in the foot to buy a BA over BF. So at the moment I'm looking at BF/BFII turbo and want to eventually get around 300rwkw out of it. I'm willing to spend around the $22k mark however I just need some advice on one thing. Since owning the auto all I do when I drive it is regret how I should have spent a bit of extra money and bought a manual. So I really want a manual but as you guys know the manuals are a bit harder to come by as I only want something with less than 100,000kms. So my question for you guys who own turbo's under this description, is it worth spending the money to get a manual with like 100,000kms or an auto with 80,000. Would the extra km's mean extra maintenance or are the turbo's good for a fair few more kms before any big repairs need to be done. Note: Im also trying not to touch anything that has been modified cause I don't know a single person with a modified car who hasnt chucked the odd burnout or 2. Cheers Jono

Problem has been re-occurring lately and ford said they can't find what's wrong unless I take it to them whilst its happening which I haven't yet been able to do. So the problem is progressive in that the D symbol comes on on the dash and I lose my senquential. The speedo and rev tacho also stop working. Then the lights on the dash come on. Then the cd player locks me out. Then once I turn the car off and try turn it back on the car won't start. Does anyone have any idea what this could be or have they heard of a similar problem with another car?

Yea I played around with all electrical connections, inside the front kick panels as well as all the relays and other connections under the bonnet and so far so good, just wait and see I guess Thanks

Hi Guys My car randomly loses all the electronics in the car (dash lights come on, speedo n tacho gone and sequential wont work and the car is stuck in 3rd or 4th). This happens just randomly, like it could go a week without doing it then all of a sudden it happen 5 times a day. Also recently had problems with the car "flooding" and not starting properly but after running some injector cleaner through the motor that's started to fix itself so not sure if that's related. My local ford dealer has no idea what it could be so just wondering if anyone else has experienced any such problems and how do I fix it? Note: I have also installed a soundsystem 14 months ago and change TPS 3 months ago but the problem has only been in the last month so I don't know if either of those things could play a role Cheers
