Is this the only Monroe shock available for the FG Bomber? Because I was looking at some on ebay and not sure if theres different kinds? Someone has a spring and shock set for $720 and the springs are normally $250 so like less than $500 for shocks and based on your trade price yours are a little more expensive so maybe they're different/better? Anyway good to hear the Monroe's are better than what some people say they are!

Nice! I love Octane, such a good colour! The Dark argents go well with the MKII upgrade bodykit!

Hate to dig up an old thread but here we go lol. In terms of a USB charged can you use the factory one that's built into the car for aux input? Also when using the app for gauges does this remove the ability to use your ICC for the radio? Seems like this wouldn't be any more expensive than getting a triple gauge pod and gauges installed but don't really want to have to choose between boost gauge and radio lol

Achilles ATR Sport! Cheap as with great tyre life and good performance all round. Only slightly noisy! Should be able to get all 4 fitted for under $700
-
About 600-700kms with Plasti-dip on my rims and so far so good! had a rainy day aswell so really testing out the conditions on it! Only problem is it looks dirty easy! Harder to keep clean than my black car lol
-
Yea bulletime I think so, it was a company car but I'd say it was probably used for private use because sunroof aint factory anymore so what company would spend $3.5k to put one in lol. I definately got a decent deal because I been searching for 18 months for a T, but yea with a bit of patience stuff like this does come up. I am also somewhat biased because I have an FG but it does have a few little goodies that the B series doesn't have and if your not looking to mod straight up, the extra 30kws coming on boost earlier really keeps you happy, especially if your upgrading from NA lol

My FG has a few mm over the full line (previous owner's mechanic) so is it worth getting under the car n draining a few hundred ml's of oil?
-
Oh right, my bad lol
-
Yea Rossnall peel from somewhere it cuts itself! On my rims the best place to start would be the lip or from the wheel nut holes (it actually has started to peel on 2 holes from the socket rubbing the plastidip up)

I don't think he means straight pipes Arrow, I think he means full exhaust? 1. Cut the bottom out of you airbox and put a KnN filter 2. Pacemaker extractors, high flow cat and 2.5inch redback catback 3. Underdrive pulley kit 4. X3 and tune I think this costs about $3.5k roughly and you'll see some good power gains.

It took a while but here's my rims plastidipped! I used 2 cans but another can wouldn't have hurt! Only problems, where there a gap between the lip and the 5 main spokes It started to create a bubble so had to cut it out and refill the gap (hardly noticeable). Other big problem is I have really tight holes where the wheel nuts are so in putting the wheels on (and off again for other reasons) its started to peel up a little. Other than that so far so good, can give an update in a few months to say how its holding up. Personally I think its a good way to go, Get a nice set of machined finish rims and just change it as you like (or get bored lol) Hopefully this can inspire a few ppl to give it a go on some bigger/nicer wheels

2008 FG XR6T stock standard! Average 9L/100kms on highway (griffith to Canberra) and sitting on around 14L/100kms around Canberra, plenty of traffic lights but not much traffic to deal with. Probably going to do O2 sensor(s) but can't complain because it gets better fuel consumption than my BA NA XR6 that had a custom intake with K n N. Oh and it had 90kw less lol
-
Good job mate! Kind of off topic but I'm in Canberra aswell and I'm not a fan of Gentech so was going to head to Sydney to get my work done. I noticed you went to ESP in Quenbeyan. Never heard of them, have they done many XR6T's? Seems like they did a good job with yours!

Did you notice clunks coming from the rear over harsh bumps or was it only known that the bushes were gone when WHS looked at it?
-
that's a pretty good buy Bok! I just got my FG with similar kms and yea same problem, the bushes are stuffed. I replaced my control blade and upper shock mount bush and the noise is still there. Have you been told what bushes are gone? Just trying to isolate which bush might be gone, otherwise I'll just do a full super pro kit
-
I think I'll just donate then I don't have to worry about the url thing lol. The ute looks good but personally I would vent the BOV into atmosphere and get rid of that huge blue pipe, that'll help tidy up the engine bay a bit. But that's just my opinion
-
Hey UBA what model is your car and how many kms? Seems like I need to get the same done with my FG after just 78,000kms!
-
What did I do wrong? ps thanks
-
How'd you upload my pic Ford Freak lol?
-
Just tried to upload a pic but still not working. Apparently I have to become a donating member so will do that soon and start uploading
-
Yea just cut a whole in the front of your stock airbox and fill the box with a K n N filter. And yea that's a decent price for the full system if that's the price installed?
-
Hard to tell from that pic mate! Get some plasti dip ($50 for 2 cans) and do your stock rims and see how they come out.

It took a while but I finally fitted the achilles! So far put about 700kms on them (griffith to canberra plus some around town driving). So far amazing bang for buck!! I can only make the comparison too maxxis MA-Z1's and Nexen n6000's and so far they grip better than both (only changed the fronts so far). They're a little bit more noisy than the maxxis but nothing to complain about. Also do really well under full brake load (tested that thanks to a stupid truck driver on the highway). Only things I can't comment on so far is how they go in the wet and how well they'll last. But for $270 for 2 tyres fitted and balanced im happy as so far! Ill try revive this thread again after a few thousand kms and let ppl know how they've gone! Just wanna thank all the guys on here for their advice which led me to choose these! Save me a lot of coin

Yea Ralph diff bush was the first thing I thought from what I read but the mechanic at Ford reckons the diff bush is fine. (not that im the biggest fan of the dealership). Whats the typical sign of the diff bush being buggered? Im going to take the car in for a $14 pedders check when they're free and see if they can tell me whats actually shagged and whats just in 'okay' condition. Plus if I do the bushes Im going to upgrade all the suspension while im going so I need to save up a bit
