Was your original engine stock? If so, you will need bigger injectors, modded turbo/wastegate, bigger intercooler, an exhaust system. I wouldnt worry about head porting, or modded cams. Good oil pump, and head bolts yes.

I am sorry to hear of your situation, but some of the blame rests on your shoulders. Its OK, we will sort it out isnt a quote in my books. I would have stopped things there, and asked for a cost, not a fop off. Spending that sort of coin on a "we will sort it out" is a BIG risk.

Ford have already stated their biggest selling cars at the moment are imports, that's why they are pulling the pin on jobs a little early. Bugger all Falcons being sold. And I hope Abbott doesnt give Toyota any money. They were, and are going regardless. Why bother.

All the government money in Australia wouldnt have saved it. That decision was made by Ford/GM in the US. Poring money into it would have been a huge waste of yours and mine, as well as every tax payer in this country. Some of the blame has to be taken by greedy workers, and union officials continually wanting more wages. It has to stop somewhere.

How come its Abbotts fault that Ford vehicle sales for local built cars has dropped??? Propping up a landslide will only work for a while. Sales of imported Fords has gone up, so that tells you what Joe public wants now. Not some oversized whale. Expensive Daewoo are no different incase you thought I was a GM fan

Gotta agree with that. Very sticky around the lower regions At least down here it cools down at night. I had to put a jacket on earlier, it is quite cold out. Open up the house, and hope it cools down ready for the next few days.

n/a motor will have higher compression ratio than turbo motor. Just buy F6 short.

Have a good look at the RH engine mount boss on the block. I bought a Typhoon long from Ford for my BA, and I believe it has an FG bottom end. RH engine mount bracket had to be modified to fit, which has to be done if fitting FG short to BA/BF.

I go to Adelaide regular, but keep away from the city if possible. Shame, it was an institution. I used to run the Advertiser down our way, and would duck thru the alley to the pie cart, and also the Farmers Union milk truck used to come around to the Advertiser building around midnight. A couple of Iced Coffees, and on my way home. Those were the days.

Is the pie cart still going? Used to frequent that in the 70s. Pie floater D Dub, slip down Hindley Street, nice quiet area, and plenty of eating places Fark it was hot working today. Nothing like working in a tin shed with too many skylights.

2 stroke has heaps more grunt than a 4 stroke. You need a 2 stroke so you can smoke the neighbours out
