  1. Had a look at a Wankinshaw 310 VF wagon today at our dealer. Tough as Its a pity Ford didnt put the effort into a decent wagon instead of using the BA base.
  2. I like the rear of the VF HSV, but the fronts a bit bland. And the Ford is still a Ford, nothing special. A bit sad for a final swan song IMHO. New supercharged VF Maloo coming out, now that will be interesting Only 150 of them to be made. And yeah, white is the colour for a GTS.
  3. Those wheels on that Pajero
  4. Don mate, I am old, and I need retirement money, so how about looking after one of our "seniors" in their final years?
  5. I remember Hindley st back in the early 70s, BBQ Inn was the place to go for a great steak Not a place for "older" blokes now Don
  6. Yeah, you gotta laugh at the CB chatter at times. Hey Don, if you end up in Mobilong, we can throw you a beer over the fence
  7. A big 10-4 good buddy Just checkin to see if the BBQ is open Must be boring in the Bridge Don.
  8. Commy guys must like the VF cos they are buying heaps of them
  9. Is it a 2 piece ute still, or a one piece?? One piece would look better(maybe)
  10. No rear end shots anywhere? Motoring section of our local paper has front shot only, although that is just a copy of Ford media rubbish.
  11. Have seen them on Ebay at times. Someone must retrim them to different colours.
  12. I fitted FG XR6T seats to my BA ute, just bolt straight up to the BA seat frames. Dont have to plug in the airbag sensors, unless your car has them. Cant see why the rears wouldnt fit your sedan.
  13. I looked at the supercharger route when I had my 1st BA ute(Marlin) Yes cost can creep out on any job, but why not be different to the other "sheep", and do something different. The Capa kit looks the goods, so go for it.
  14. I find the Achilles tyres pretty good value for money Don, but quite a few Nexens running around too. I am like you, cant justify the cost of Bridgestone etc for the driving we do. I wish this rain would go away.
  15. Once again, your opinion, not mine. Lets just get on with the thread before it gets out of hand.
  16. You have an opinion, and so do I, or is it if we dont agree with yours, we dont post????? I just believe too many people get their knickers in a knot about dyno figures. I am saying not everyone buys a car based on power figures.
  17. So, what % of people who own either a GT, or GTS are going to go to the drag strip? Maybe a few, but as I have said on more than one occasion, most owners of these type of car dont care who has the most power. Case in our town where there are a few SC GTSs, school teachers, business people, no young hoons looking for the drag strip to do a dick measurement. Even the 2 people I know of who have ordered GT-Fs, not one of them would give a rats about the power crap. Just because a minority on a forum sook about dyno results, doesnt mean everyone else does
  18. Achilles are one of the best "budget" tyres around IMHO. Hi Don(ald), or is it Dom, now that you have been to Victoria?
  19. Don, I am surprised you have the time to talk to us basics here in SA now you have your own thread going
  20. If doing any conversion, its best to buy a complete car/wreck to get all bits, and keep costs down.
  21. LS engine kits should be available ex USA if that's the way you want to go as an option. Mob called Vorshlag BMW do LS swap kits. Go have a look at LS1Tech. Go to a wrecker, and do some measuring of the motor. Pointless if its gunna be a pain to fit. Just drives the cost up. Good luck with what ever way you go.
  22. Yes, it is a Landcruiser Prado, not a Toyota Prado.
  23. A lot of people must like smashed assholes, as they are still buying them. MattyP, I have had 3 V8 Soarers, including my current UZZ31. Fantastic cars, way ahead of their time. Not the greatest power, but great fuel economy, comfort.
  24. I love all cars, maybe some more than others. I have 5 different brands in my lot, have been partial to Expensive Daewoo in the past, like my BA turbo ute, love my Toyota Soarer, and my Subaru Outback, and my Chev pickup. What would I sell if pushed? My turbo ute, and my GTS if I had my way. Some people just cant see the trees for the forest.
