Swapped my 17 wheels for 18s when I got it. The 17s were worn on the insides real bad. Took it for an allignment, and the bloke said they are bad for flogging out lower ball joints. My RH one was shagged. He replaced it, and fitted camber shims, put 40lbs in the tyres, so will see how it goes. It is not only Falcons with this problem. My daughters VT Clubsport has the same wear issues.

I have the bolts holding the exhaust housing to the turbo core loose as well. One nearly out, except it is hitting on the banjo bolt in the oil line. Will have a look at the rest this week. Not a 5 minute job unfortunately, but has to be done.

I am with CGU, and Shannons. CGU didnt want to know me with the ute once I told them about the mods. Shannons didnt have a problem, and I only insure with limited use, as its only a weekend toy. $625 year. I couldnt be bothered looking anywhere else, but probably could do better. It is easier for me to stick with Shannons, as I pay quarterly, and have 2 other vehicles with them. CGU maybe loosing my other business though.

Bought my 2003 BA XR6T ute a week ago, and did a Google search, and came across this forum. Just what I needed.

The new P plate laws in SA are a joke. Dont know how they work in other states, but here you cant drive a V8, or turbo car. Now, my daughter has a VT Clubsport with the 195KW 5ltr engine, and she is off her Ps, but a P plater cant drive her car, but if they buy a VE with 210KW V6, its legal. What a joke. Anyway, I would be surprised if he could get a $40,000 loan these days with the banks etc clamping down on throwing money around like they used to.

Not sure what I am doing, but here goes. Just joined today. Just picked up my 2003 XR6T auto ute today. I have had 3 BA Fords. 1 XR6 sedan(company car), 2004 BA Marlin ute, and now the XR6T ute. I used to be a GM fan, but have been a bit down on there products over the past few years. Now, a bit about my ute. It puts out 306rwkw, has a stage 2 APS kit, Unichip, 18" GT mags. Roll bar. I probably wont be doing much to it, as it has more than enough poke for me No pics yet. I will enjoy being here, and learning more about this vehicle.
