  1. I spent a few hours at Heinrichs yesterday, and Bruce gave my ute a bit of a run, and put in a flash tune. What a difference it made :sungum: Very nice and friendly team of blokes. Will be going back there for sure.
  2. Just a bit off topic chaps, but can someone in Adelaide tell me who to use for a seat redo on my BA XR6T ute? Drivers foam has had it, and wouldnt mind an upgrade to the seats. May look at leather. Does anyone know if FG seats fit in a BA? I will be up next week, so need them looked at while there.
  3. I want one of them there Elmos please Its not only Fords with problems, slip over to Just Commodores and see the problems with engine noise on some of the 6ltr V8s. Dont tell em I sent you though
  4. They look the same, so what is the advantage?? Did you just fit calipers, or discs as well??
  5. Small powerfull cars are fun, but I believe not practicle in some cases. Living in a country area, surrounded by trucks doing 100kph on our crappy roads, you need a big car, otherwise you will get blown off the road. And comfort on a long trip is important.(especially for us older people )
  6. I havent run them head to head, but seat of the pants feeling is there isnt much in it. Turbo probably has more pull, but the 6ltr aint no slug Traction control is the downer for the GTS. Feels like the V8 has more off line punch, which is to be expected.
  7. I drove an FG XR8(290kw) a few weeks ago, and it didnt excite me at all. VE Bogan special ute would blow it off the road. Ended up buying a 2007 VE GTS. Very happy Falcons are very boring inside compared with Holdens. (that's my opinion) Still have my XR6T ute for the "buzz" factor.
  8. Some of the turbo motors crack real well. Friend of mine builds offroad racing engines, and he is getting 1,200 HP out of twin turbo 3.5 V6 Toyota engine in a buggy. This thing is awesome to watch, and hear.
  9. Anyone got a part number on the short??
  10. My local Ford dealer had a 2007 ute with 32,000ks on it, and dropped the price down to $23,990 before it sold. It was a black Rip Curl ute, hard lid. It drove very well, but they didnt offer me enough on my trade(4x4)so I didnt add it to my stable.
  11. Is that a Pro Seat kit? Looks the part. I wouldnt mind getting their GT-P seats for my ute.

    New To The 6T Scene

Just a dumb question, but was this an original XR6T ute? It doesnt have the XR body kit, looks like an XLS kit. Just wondering
  13. Way too many to list, just ask my missus Some notables, HK GTS Monaro, 307 powerglide. LJ Torana with 253 V8, 55 Chev, 64 Chev, 80 Z28 Camaro, 74 Chev pickup. Various Commodores, stack of Jap stuff including my current Toyota Soarer V8. A bunch of 4x4s.
  14. Ford recommend the auto for towing, as they believe it is stronger, and more forgiving than the manual. My BA is rated at 2300kg.
  15. Can I please have a link to its "death" then please I am not looking for a vehicle to hot up, just a good driver. I just like the look of the Super Pursuit/ GT-P Fords.
  16. Thanks. I allready have a Turbo ute, was just looking at whats out there. I may just add the GT-P seats to my ute. Can pick up a nice SS ute for not a lot of money. Not looking at selling the T though.
  17. Just wanting to find info on the 5.4 V8 in the BA/BF models(FPV) Any forums etc. Am maybe looking at buying, or would the Expensive Daewoo 5.7/6.0 be a better deal(SS ute) A few Super Pursuit utes around at a reasonable price.
  18. Mine looks similar, but not the same The top pipe on mine comes out as a 90 degree curved bend, not squared off like the Monza.
  19. You didnt put the front bush bolt in the wrong hole? There is 2 holes.
  20. A dumb question, what does the monza cooler look like? I am not sure on what type I have as I bought it as is. It is bigger than standard, but looks similar shape.
  21. Mine are cloth, not leather. They feel comfortable 1st up, but I get a cyatic(spelling?) problem in my right leg, and hip pain after a few hundred ks that is hard to get rid of. I have had the same problem in all 3 Ba Falcons I have had(all with XR seats) Also had the same problem in mates SS Crewman with leather. I have a 2004 Pajero with leather, and as much as their seats get a bagging, I dont have any real issues in that. My Toyota Soarer has the best seats I have ever had. No issues at all, even on a Sydney trip(3,000ks)
  22. I like the feel of the GT-P seats. Had a sit in one the other week, and felt good. Proseat do leather ones complete for around $1,800 pr. Steep, but comfort costs. Will keep an eye out to see what pops up.

    Fg Turbo

Hi Phil, welcome to the "other" side I too was a Expensive Daewoo man, but have had 3 BA Falcons now including my current BA XR6T ute. I cant comment on the FG, but it shouldnt be any different than the opposition vehicles as far as servicing etc. It all depends on your dealers in your area I suppose. Enjoy whatever you purchase. That turbo power is addictive
  24. I have a BA XR6T ute, and dont find the seats all that comfortable. This is the 3rd BA I have had, and have had the problem with all of them(all XR6 seats) What do others do? replace with something else, remake, replace with othe model Falcons, or othe cars?? I only have the problem with trips over 2 hours.
  25. Buy a Falcon RTV ute, and fit a turbo motor. Best of both worlds. I used to have a BA Marlin, which had XR6 suspension, and I work out in the bush down a rough gravel/dirt road, and never had any issues. If you take it easy in the rougher areas, it shouldnt be an issue.
