Fluff, the BRZ/Tojo86 are nice to drive. Me and the missus had a drive of the Tojo, and she is hard to please when it comes to cars(obviously not her man), and she loved it. I enjoyed driving it, but my 61 year old body struggled to get in and out of mainly the drivers side, too low for me. Surprised me how well it went for a 2ltr auto. I dont get overly excited with my VE GTS, missus drives it every day-shopping trolly she calls it. I prefer to drive my Subi Outback.
What system and size are you running Don?? My ute has APS 3 1/2" into twin 2 1/2". Stock dump pipe as well. Some say the APS is one of the best sounding turbo systems.
I wasnt having a go at your car, or the result. I have seen this result several times with the VE being lower than the VZ. Must be a lot more driveline loss with the six speed. Or as you say, HSV over state their power ratings. The Mainline dyno down here is very concervative, seen up to 30rwkw lower than same car on Bruces dyno. Anyway, I go on seat of the pants feeling, not so much on figures. It will be interesting to see the gains as you do the mods though.
Pathetic result BP . My stock VZ Clubby LS2 (297kw) does 243rwkw on a Mainline. Stock LS2 VE Clubby (307kw) pulls 220rwkw on the same Mainline. Both running 20"wheels. 4 speed auto in VZ v 6 speed auto in VE.
I have 6 cars, 5 different brands. Falcon ute(XR6T), VE GTS, VZ Clubsport, Toyota Soarer, Subaru Outback, and Chev Pickup.. Love the power of the Ford, but that's about all I can say is good. So, yes, I do still have a Ford.
Hope its all OK peoples. Big fire down here yesterday as well, but not in a populated area thankfully. Plenty of scrub, and pines though, and farm country. Doesnt matter where the fires are, they aint good. And more than likely started by some F whit wanting to get their rocks off. String em up I say.
