  1. Join the club. Had local swap meet today, pissed with rain 1st up, then sun came out. Look like a beetroot now(more than usual)
  2. There is 320 million people in the USA.
  3. Jeez, its only an add. Are Ford that sensitive? Could only happen in America.
  4. The problem with the XYs of any condition is that people are paying silly money for these, so they can build GT replicas. Even rusty bodies are going up in price, as they become rare. And I understand the F truck saga as well. I am looking at a Chev pickup project, and same thing. Can pick up a reasonable vehicle in the states for not a lot of coin, but anything out here seems to be looked at as a retirement nest egg. Dont be in a hurry, and keep your ears, and eyes peeled. Something will pop up.
  5. I had a 1974 C10 about 10 years ago. Sold it to a bloke in Adelaide. Shouldnt have sold it, but needs at the time dictated the sale. Some of your mums would be about my age. May have to get friendly with you blokes :sungum:
  6. Suburban is a wagon(bloody Ford wanks know nothing) Either a 1973-80 C10, or a 1988 onwards C1500. Want a short bed. Also looking at a Dodge Ram SS/T :sungum:
  7. Jetsnot, I didnt go too wild on the rebuild. All new clutches, beefed valve body, adjustable pressure solenoid, etc.($1,800) I wont be retuning, so no need for much more than what I got done. I dont need to get on here and brag about my dyno figures like some others :sungum: I want to buy a Chev Pickup to play with, so dont want to spend anymore on the ute ATM.
  8. Picked my ute up from DRW this morning. Just gotta run the tranny in for a few hundred ks of stop start driving.to bed the plates in. Hoping I dont need to spend any more money on it now
  9. Holiday? Did someone mention a holiday? Oh, THAT sort of holiday Dont mind me, its a bit hot down here. Just been out to the Autofest for a couple hours this morning. Had to come home it got that hot. Not a lot happening anyway. May go back later if it cools down a bit. Coming up to Adelaide 2morro, so dont run over me if you see me( BA Blueprint ute, rollbar) My little bit of power would be no match for you blokes
  10. I might have to go back to the Late model camira forum at this rate. :sungum:
  11. I see the Jet, and Fluff have migrated to the Vic thread. Must be too boring for them over here. (is a bit quiet here )
  12. Your in the wrong thread Henz, slip back over the border
  13. I see its kick Bruce time again on the retarded Vic sook and winge thread. Has anyone shown Bruce all this crap?
  14. Down our way we dont have enough cops to do separate jobs, so they all chip in where necessary.
  15. Spoolax, unfortunately we do in SA. Cruise for charity last year in Adelaide was a giant COP fest. I bet next year, hardly anyone will go. So a charity for kids suffer because of a greedy Government who cant manage finances, so keep dragging it out of us. We have Autofest in our town this weekend, and I bet the COPs will have a ball, as they did last year. I am gunna leave my cars home, and get my missus to drop us off, and pick us up. Meanwhile, "real crims" are getting away with "real crimes"
  16. turbotrana, do you think Atomics mechanics went to year 11, or 12 instead of year 10?? Dont think so. I am not a big fan of brand dealerships, but you cant lumber all Ford, or Expensive Daewoo mechanics into a basket for " hopeless mechanics" The bloke who starts up a performance workshop would have done his time maybe at a dealership, and then decided to have a go on his own. Good on him, but that doesnt make him any better of a mechanic than one still working in a dealership. This Brad bloke maybe a great mechanic, but unless he builds every engine himself, he is open to problems like any workshop that employs people.
  17. Ha ha, no problems. GTS not giving any problems(yet)
  18. No problem with my GTS, its my daughters VT Clubby with the 304/355 Expensive Daewoo engine that's giving grief. I will call in and see him, and explain the issues. Thanks again. I only come on here to read all the Vic crap lol.
  19. I might talk to them and see. Dont want to spend too much more on the ute, it has cost me a fortune so far. Got another project in the wind, and need some coin for that. :sungum:
  20. Not into drag racing, or dyno bragging Snotty, just want a nice drivable ute that the missus can drive as well. She doesnt adapt to change too well shes not into cars like your Fluff(unfortunately) Maybe we could swap women? Mine can cook well.
  21. Ute booked into DRW Automatics for Monday. Will talk to them when I get there on the finer details, but want something half decent that will last, and not be a pain to drive. Foon, will go see your mate while I am up there. Thanks again for your help.
  22. You maybe correct, but I aint pulling the head to make sure.
  23. Mine is definately an F6 engine. Came up on the parts list as BA/BF F6 Typhoon long. But didnt fit without modifying RH engine mount bracket, which needs to be done to fit FG motor in BA/BF. Also has 2 dipstick holes.
  24. I do believe that some parts for an FPV do need a VIN number, but dont know much more than that. Maybe in my case it helped that I know the owner of the dealership :sungum: and everyone who works there.
  25. Gussa, how long since you asked? They have changed a lot in the last year or 2. They have had to spread out to other cars, and motor bikes, or get knocked out of business. And, my 23year old daughter has here VT Clubsport with them. Although, me being a member helped.
