I am playing safe with my new F6 engine, and running a very mild tune for a few ks(done about 4,000) Nearly have the rebuilt auto run in, and it feels a lot better than before(thankfully) Very happy with Dave at DRW. May have to come back up to Adelaide for a tune in the future, my local tuner is leaving, and going to work for Herrods, so no one down here then. (still running VCM tune, will go back to SCT)

Everyones got an opinion on pistons. I know the rods are the weak link in the XRT engine, but why not go the best while you have it down? I hope it turns out something simple Foon.

Slip it down to Bruce, and get it checked properly. Only guesses otherwise. If you gunna go the Spool way, get better pistons as well. Do it once properly.

Clipsal next weekend, so doubt you would get much interest from the Adelaide boys. Still running my trans in(sorta) Dave at DRW is a great bloke, and very helpfull. Our local tuner down in Mt Gambier has seen the light, and is looking at getting the SCT gear, so that will be good for us local Ford tossers Might end up getting some use out of my reader yet.(currently on a VCM tune) On a side note, anyone on here from out Paralowie way, or know somebody who is? Trying to chase up my old Chev pickup, and all I know is its out at Paralowie somewhere.

Karl, did Bruce build the motor? Did you have a run on the dyno at the Autofest? Should catch up sometime(even though I am an old fart, I still love my cars :sungum: ) Still running my ute in after fitting the new F6 engine, and just had the gearbox rebuilt.
