Steve, you are correct, I am forgetting I have changed to a cooler thermostat.
  2. Yeah, I am down South. Mount Gambier to be honest. :sungum: My sister lives at Hallet Cove.

    Radiator

Several issues. You need new friends as they dont know what they are talking about, no V6 engines in the Falcon, and yes, it is running a bit high. Mine runs at about half between 1/4, and 1/2 on the guage, unless its super hot traffic driving. Go to a radiator specialist, and maybe get it flushed, unless you can do that yourself.
  4. Luckily I wasnt in it long enough to check the AC out :sungum: I only had to go to Hallet Cove and back.
  5. I hope you are not getting excited about Bruces Lancer/Galant, or has he something better now??
  6. that's a very nice looking car. I like the white. Looks better than those new black n red GTs
  7. Friend of mine has gas on his FG turbo, not sure on brand. Cost around $5-6,000 I think. He loves it, although his is stock. Done by Brett West in Adelaide though.
  8. Sorry Jet, if anyone reads the SA(which means Adelaide) threads, they would think Bruce was the only one up there. And he probably is the #1 XR6T tuner in Adelaide. If I didnt have a choice now, I would be back on Bruces doorstep for sure. You are lucky to have so many more options than us though. All I was trying to do was point out another "SA" tuner. Paul will be good for our area.
  9. Why? My comments were not poking at anyone, just stating a fact. I have had 2 cars tuned by Bruce, and dont have any complaints at all. He went out of his way to help on both occasions, as I had to travel up from Mount Gambier(if you know where that is) to get the jobs done. If it looked like I was blaming Bruce for the blowup, that wasnt the intention. Just seems that you people cant accept any other tuner than Bruce. We down here are lucky that at last we have an option, instead of going to Adelaide, or Melbourne.
  10. Personally, it wouldnt matter if I knew the owner, and knew how they treated their car. After reading the way some on here drive there cars, no way would I buy either way
  11. Always a few on Ebay, but not local. Our local wrecker would be a bit expensive Have you talked to Razz about it? He may have some contacts in Melbourne.
  12. Get the drive shaft fixed??
  13. Why dont you just take to a decent tuner(not tuna) and get it looked at properly. You are fighting a loosing battle here.
  14. He has run several dynos before, and done a fair bit of tuning, so he is not a novice. But definately not in Bruces league as yet, so dont panic, he wont steel your thunder. Just a side note, he tuned my new F6 engine in my BA after the old one blew after a Bruce tune.
  15. Paul Razam Automotive is now up and running in Mount Gambier. He has a 2wd Mainline. While only young, he is highly respected by Mainline, as he usually does the dyno work at the Summernats for them, and has done the Autofests in Mount Gambier the last couple of years. Paul has spent some time working for Herrods in Melbourne, so is up with the latest tune programs. While I know this is of no real interest to you Adelaide blokes, it gives us down South of the state a very good option instead of coming to Adelaide.
  16. OK, thanks for that. Didnt want to buy something that didnt fit.
  17. Thanks. What if I used the whole front strut off the FG? No fit?? Not worried about the rear springs, only fitted new ones recently.
  18. Sorry to drag this up, but will FG XR6 ute springs and shocks fit into a BA XR6 ute? I can get hold of some "very" low ks FG XR6 gear.
  19. Good old Feral ute!! Get on down to the local B&S ball boys.
  20. Welcome to the mad house How much more do you want? More later? Plenty on here know more than me, but fuel system would be on the list, then you shouldnt have to worry about it if you want more power later. High flow cat, standard exhaust otherwise should be OK for around 300KW at the wheels. Bigger intercooler, injectors, turbo mods, and a good tune with SCT should do. And if you get sick of the ute, give it to me :sungum:
  21. Panda, was low, but had to go back to stock when new engine went in to keep Trans SA boys off my back. Rides better this way. I drive to Adelaide a fair bit, and was a pain before. I leave the "low" bit to my daughter who has her cars dragging on the ground :sungum:
  22. Am looking at doing something to my BA ute, and wondered on the value of the bigger disc and adaptors on Ebay that use your existing caliper? Would these be an option to do for an FG as well? Brembos and Harrops are great, but expensive.
  23. Maybe wrong section, but why not look at the G6E Turbo? Nice looking car, and turbo to boot.
