  1. I would be happy with one parked in my driveway. I like the white. Back end is different, but I dont mind it. Most Ford drivers will get used to it. Its the only view they will get
  2. The GTS was delayed a couple of months, but I think the Clubsports etc are out now. SDP, and WOGPOT are on the money with their comments. Go have a look at the car, and see how out of date an FG is now.
  3. Another boring black car with black wheels. I f*cking hate black wheels.
  4. Most used cars are down on value these days. Its a buyers market, so none of us will ever get what we expect for our cars. I spent a fortune on my BA ute when I blew the engine, but know I wont get anywhere near half of what it cost. As already stated, its an 05 car, so its 8 years old regardless of mods. Unless someone wants the mods you have done, its probably worth $15-18,000 tops IMHO. And sorry about the doubt on your selling reasons, a bit more info at the start may have saved that.
  5. Getting my ute serviced 2moro. May look at getting a tune shortly, now the engine has done 10,000ks. On a low tune at the moment.
  6. I have to ask the obvious question, why spend a fortune on the engine etc, then try and sell it after 10ks?? Seems a bit sus to me. And, its not worth $23,000.
  7. Bag of cement Bishy if you want to survive around here.
  8. Twisty, welcome to the forum, and all the BS that goes with it. If this is your 1st forum, you will need to loosen up real bad, or you will sink. Most on here dont know jack, but like to stir the pot. A sump full of oil on the drag strip(or road in my case ) makes a big mess. Try and avoid it.
  9. Looks like a new load of rubbish bins at the local council depot
  10. I wish we only had 80ks to travel to a decent drag strip We have a good 1/8th mile track at Portland(110ks), but they only have a few good meetings a year. The Doorslammers love the track down there. I am not really into street drags as such.
  11. I 1st started going to AIR in about 1971, and I think back then Keith Williams owned it. Used to be drags, rallycross, oval racing, circuit racing. Was some good racing back then, and up until around late 1990s, early 2000. Someone will correct me on those dates if I am incorrect.
  12. AIR will never be as good as it used to be. Bob Jane wont spend any money, as he wont at Calder either. Doesnt matter how good a promoter is, you cant make gold out of sh*t. I agree that we cant sustain 2 tracks, what we want is one top notch track. And at the moment, that aint AIR.
  13. Dont Dellow do a Barra housing? I thought someone did. Maybe CRS now it has new owners. I looked at doing a Barra into a GQ Nissan Patrol a few years ago. Would be an awesome conversion. Down our way, the LS1 is the go for Landcruiser 80 conversions.
  14. Its going to be the bleeding heart tree huggers etc that will be the main problem. They dont like anyone having fun. I hope it goes ahead. Wont be so far for us "southerners" to travel. AIR is a pain for us.(and yes, I used to frequent it a lot years ago)
  15. Looks like the new HSV
  16. The Blues Bros chase was typical yank car chase, wipe out half the countries old cars doing it. Good for a laugh though.
  17. Agree with velocity. Bullit was one of the best chases ever.
  18. The Mustang will never be any different than it is now. Small number coming in, being converted to RHD, and on the market at whatever they sell for now. Camaro was supposed to be brought in by GM as well, and didnt. Same thing, small numbers selling for around the $100,000. Not enough sales volume in this country for any car company to gear up for it.
  19. 1970 SS Chevelle, 454, 450hp. Worth a big buck now if you can get one. L88 Corvette would take some beating as well. Rumoured to be in excess of 550hp ex factory. And those mean sidepipes.
  20. When I put on the GT brake upgrade to my ute, I used Bendix GCT pads. Seem to work great. No noise, and seem OK on the dust. I dont drive overly hard though. Put EBC reds on my GTS, and squeal 1st up, but after a "spirited" run thru the Adelaide hills, they are great now.
  21. I was referring to PAH comment, not the general thread as such. Giving a car more power is not always a selling point v a whole package.
  22. Yeah, we know a turbo Falcon will wip an SS, and most current HSVs for that matter in the grunt stakes, but I bet they sell a heap of the new VF SS, as they have the VE SS. You blokes have got to stop thinking that everyone wants 300RWKW.
  23. I wouldnt get too excited, none of what you suggest will happen. What Ford have is all you will get, maybe a small face lift next year, and just carry on until the end. People on these forums are only a minority of car buyers, mum and dad just want a basic car to get about in, so that's their main bread and butter. Everyone just needs to accept whats there is it.
