  1. Turn the page boys, this has already been done to death.
  2. My block certainly wasnt going to be used again. Big hole made sure of that
  3. When I blew my engine, and got a new long from Ford, it didnt have a number on it either. I had to get the engine fitted, then went to Transport SA so they could see that it didnt have an engine number. They then issued me one, and I had to go back to the mechanic and get him to stamp it(*beep* to do with engine in car), then go back to Trans SA and get them to check it was correct. No full inspections needed in SA.
  4. Bump. Anyone awake on here??
  5. Jeez Jet, you are only half way. I just turned 60(feel 80 some days)
  6. Ben, you are only a young bloke (I presume you name is Ben??)
  7. Who the fark is John??
  8. Not anymore if not using Bruce for tune. Unless Jet has very happy dyno
  9. You lot werent even born in my good old days. XY HOs, XU1 Toranas, Expensive Daewoo sixes with tripple carbies, GTS Monaros, GT Cortinas. Now they were the good old days(early 70s). Used to do the speedway tracks, 100ks from Portland to Mt Gambier, 40 minutes with GTS Monaro, and car trailer and hotrod on. Nothing under 160kph. Mate had a XA 4 door GT(RPO83), and used to run to Milicent for a burger(50ks) in 15 minutes. Fark that Falcan used to handle. Get hung now if you tried to do that.
  10. No problems, just havent been reading your tuning thread, so if mentioned, I wouldnt have seen it.
  11. I have gotta ask the obvious(well, to me) question, have you blokes given Bruce the arse??
  12. I have used both over the years. Cant grow a beard to save myself, so only shaved every 2-3 days with a blade. Tried a couple of electric ones, but no real success. Am on Warfarin these days, so have resorted to blade at start of week, then electric every 2nd day(Remington) Not perfect, but dont care much. Blade OK if I have 3-4 days growth. May have to try a more expensive electric. Anyone got pics of the electric ones you use??
  13. So we are now comparing a 10 year old, and a 14 year old car with a new car of similar value? New for new, you wont buy a Ferrari for $100,000. End of story. And as stated, maintenance costs on a 2nd hand(or new for that matter) Euro car will kill your pocket. And most of you still dont get it, most GTS sales go to well off business people who just want it cos they can. Very few will ever see a track of any description.
  14. Cant buy a Ferrari for $100,000 either. Or carry 4 people, and cart luggage.
  15. I should have put this in the Ebay thread. Thought of that after. But yeah, good price for "normal" people Pazzo
  16. I dont think the GTS has been released as yet. Clubby etc in show rooms now.
  17. Obviously not you!! Yeah, cold here too Ben. The rear end isnt the greatest, but after seeing it in the flesh, I dont mind it. And yes, not everyone will like it. They dont have to.
  18. New genuine FG XR6T/F6 short motor on Ebay from Bayford. $2,600.
  19. Take your Ford hat off for a while, and go to dealer and have a "decent" look at them. A lot better in the flesh. I am in both camps, like both my Ford, and HSV. I like looking at any new product, regardless of make. My favorite car of mine is still my $5,000 Toyota Soarer.
  20. No one would have had a car. All at Bruces
  21. Mate, you have to experience the Lancer, or you havent lived
  22. What happened to the Lancer??? That was a top loan car.
  23. Just to drag this up again, has anyone seen the media statement about Ford shutting down FPV next year? Or am I waaaay to slow?
  24. After 100 years of laying on the sea bed, Irish divers were surprised to find that the Titanics swimming pool was still full.
  25. The 2nd one Top nearly fell off.
