The fresh fish thing makes me laugh. We shop at Woolies most of the time, and I chuckle everytime I go by the fish counter and see the sign, fresh daily. No fishing industry near us bar crays.

Hey Don, Barnacle Bills isnt that great. Been to the one at Hallet Cove a few times. We dont have one either if that makes you feel any better. Just got back from a trip to Portland to pick up a wheel for my daughters Clubby. Sooner we get an Aldi the happier we will be. Woolies, and Coles been screwing us all for far too long. Didnt have a lot of room though, my work Toyota Echo with a 20" mag and tyre didnt have a lot of room left for groceries

Not worth a conversion cost these days. Mate just bought an FG gas XR6 ute for his work, and is spewing at the gas prices.

Most, if not all diesels from 06 onwards are common rail, and this on its own brings a new list of issues. DPF, fuel quality, and filtration, all manuals have dual mass flywheels, so you wont avoid that one. Hiluxes have injector issues, fuel pump issues, the list just goes on. Dmax are supposed to be OK, Colorados made in Thailand as are Hilux, Ranger etc. Buy an F250, Dodge Ram, or Chev Duramax. All your problems solved.

Buy a VE, far better ute, looks better, and at least they handle. And not as noisy as a Falcon ute.

And you are talking Nissan V6 turbo diesel, not 2.5 4cyl. Most of these utes are made in Thailand these days, so quality is so so. Most common rail diesels have their own issues, unless you have very good fuel, and a 2nd fuel filter, expect to be digging into your pocket on a regular basis.

Have any of you priced a LONG MOTOR from Ford??????? I would be interested in your comparison price. As I only live in a one Ford dealer town, makes it a bit hard to haggle. Mine came with sump, rocker cover, timing cover, ballancer, water pump, auto flywheel, engine oil cooler.

Maybe $9,000 is "built" engine price. Dont know, or dont care. Hole in mine made it a bit hard to hot up I am not chasing bragging numbers, just wanted a decent driver, and that's what I got.

Was it the fault of the rod, or poor tune that broke them??? I bought a new F6 long motor from my Ford dealer for my ute. About $9,000
