  1. I have a bizarre BF-Fairlane tc-anomaly and really need some help with it; running with tc-'On' causes brakes to apply on turn-in to lefthand corner = Car lurches a bit to the right! I figured early-on that switching tc 'Off' at idle gave me straight steering so I never (unless I forget) drive anywhere with tc 'On'. Pretty crazy? Anyone had this happen and how to resolve it? Our mechanic had some advanced software (not Ford-specific) that he thought would isolate error but it made it worse, or so it seems. Before I lose $1K or more at the mercy of Ford I am just hopeful someone else knows who can deal with this.
  2. Thanks for giving real-time info & Links, G-Spec; I am glad the graceful Turbo has longeviTy as well as class! Now my Son and I can resume G6ET-dreaming and plotting without qualms: it feels the way to go for me. Next will be a ? of JetGas, who has done the LPG-conversion, and then I will have all the bits and pieces in my mind before embarking on the project.
  3. Gentlemen, I had a half-hour spare waiting on my one and only Turbo....wait for it....a Trannie 2.4 Duratec! Grins aside, the Trannie was getting its mandatory 30K-service and I had time to talk-turbos with a sales rep @ Ford dealer nearby. He said G6ET diff will not accept much added-urge, as in a Flash-tune, without imploding, which is why the keen drivers all choose XR6T with LSD. Such can take all best efforts at KW-overkill without failing. Is this so? Are G6ETs best left unmolested? My own and Son's long-short term plan is to get into one of the Falcon-Ts anyway and I expect the lad to want to make it go better so what is the Forum's knowledge on this subject, please? Has anyone had a G6ET diff-loss through over-boost? Is there any history here? Also, how expensive would it be to LSD a G6ET? Cheers
  4. Wooo!! Sunny Coast. Anyway, I'm His son Leo The "driving force" behind getting a Turbo, hopefully a G6ET We're interested in an LPG Turbo, and have joined the Forum to get some hints. Cheers.
  5. Hello Blokes, I am one of the few interlopers who do not (yet) have a xr6t but have joined the forum. Sunny Coast Qld. Thanks for your postings, I read them closely and will take onboard all the good advice I can before getting the G6ET I am working towards. Cheers all
