was told by my tuner that a rattly cat (brand new) could mean that my knock pulls timing and lose me power....Don't think I'd be keen to remove it.

300rwkw on road is ok in a manual, more usable in an auto , 400 would be great and my next goal as 300rwkw doesnt go as hard as I'd like ! :D as for tyres, 2700 bucks ?? mad ??? 800-1000 for a set is more than enough. you'll only need to change out rears more often with more power !

my stock xr6 turbo made 249.91 rwkw, 335hp last week marky boy,yours an F6 ya mad monkey !, RDP tuned this week and ran 408 but pulled timing to make safe at 300.6rwkw, 403rwhp, power isd very smooth and linear but could be much better with decent exhaust ! venom cat fitted but rattling like a mofo from brand new, less than 20 mins fitted. crap ! Going to replace whole system, turbo and injectors when funds allow.

the player (dealer) chooses to play the game(ford) so have to deal with the customers. Don't want to do warranty work ? don't sell the fricken product ! Same for all of us retailers. We sell it, we warrant it, it's part of the job, end of story.

If tutut is what's happening , its the pressurised air passing back over the turbine blades trying to stall the turbo. sounds good but the Bov idea is to stop this and reduce lag by keep the turbo spinning. A bov with a tight spring wont do its job properly and too lose will lose boost.

true, I reckon ours has been buggered for a while ! only split at bottom though but never been that great from even new ! Does the cradle really have to be lowered to do the job or can it be done in situ ?

Interesting thread. I have a spare rapid systems turbo pipe and some wrongly supplied joiners so will chop these up and have a go. Only need a filter for 3" pipe. See what I can find. Will fling it on with the rest of my toys soon before tune in a week or so !

currently have my build in progress, v8 box and K+N , process west 2 kit, F6 injectors, 5" venom cat, centre muffler removed, ready for tune next week or so ! If I crack 300rwkw I will be happy !

I had a feeling mine were almost gone and I had a look ten minutes ago and guess what ?? stuffed ! I also went into nova ford yesterday and spoke to service manager as I am about to fit a PW2 cooler kit, injectors, cat and tune the fooker and he said he would replace stock with upgraded ones for free (I buy them, he fits them free)BEFORE I do the tune....so, best get onto senna T and get them in ! He also mentioned 2 others to do while cradle was out and it wasn't the blade ones....control arm inners I think ??
