winter was cold but summer of 69 was good ! back on topic, my EF wagon now has a poor idle after I done the head gasket, I reckon the fuel pump is tired (noisey) and also the fuel rail O ring may have been damaged as its hard to crank over and needs primed 3/4 times... oh the joys !

jack car up ! grab the shaft, grab the uni joint, if there is any movement there then you will have some degree of clunk cos if you can do it by hand, then under huge forces from the box, it will be a lot more.. on a side note, I used to have a clunk in my xg ute, turned out to a be a flogged out diff ! just worn out ! but I don't suspect this with yours at all.. could be the exhaust thumping something underneath when you boot it, or driveline just hitting something too close that needs adjusted further away.. our brand new FG will clunk a bit of you misuse/poorly time gearchanges etc.. my EF wagon is smoother !

we took the dent/ding repair too ! too many people don't give a sh*t and throw their doors open ! I even take care next to a nice car if I am in my works car or pajero... it's just not nice to have yer car beaten up by a mongo !

funny thing I noted, the manual has much more spool induction noise than the auto... other than that, mine is quiet as a mouse !

dunlop sportmax on the 19" xr and don't tramline that bad, its more to do with width than height (245's on them !) and that paint protection package for 1800 bucks or whatever is nothing short of a rip off ! hope ya didnt pay anything like that for it ! My mates been a head painter for honda and service manager after that for 20+yrs and told me its a gimmick spray and some scotchguard type of spray for the interior.... another way to rip the punter off ! waste if time and money !

yup, our r33 had a fair few ponies and 3rd gear was useless in the wet in any revs and arse end was everywhere 1/2/3 even in the dry ! sounded awsome though ! howled like an r1 when revved to the moon !

the launch control holds the revs while you hold the throttle flat to the floor ! only lifts revs onec clutch moves ! it works well... just need to know how to use it right ! dumping it will obviously engage the traction control so best to turn that off or use traction control and learn good clutch control ! that's the 2 basic options for decent launch ! the video shows it works well !

oh yes, ours sh*t itself in a thunder storm ! went hot and couldnt see for steamy windows (where are ya tina turner ?) was hot when checked at home, compressor wasnt turning..then next morning, right as rain, wife thinks I am mad and ford had it checked but no issues...bastard thing nearly killed me in that rain !
