Q ford in springwood are decent. mechanic and sales manager were decent folk to us !

can anyone tell me IF the late model NA motor , november 07, has good enough internals for turbo application as a mate (EX FORD MECHANIC) says they're same as turbo motors at this age ?(valve springs/rods/pistons etc ) ? I really don't want to remove/refit a motor as I can work on this and use the old wagon while its getting done ( 1 week , no longer ! ) what do I need ? will the stock ecu work with reflash/tuner ?? really keen to get this going so any help appreciated ! turbo manifold Intercooler exterior mods will be lowered/stiffened and wheels ! that's it ! stock looking sleeper !

inlet is much bigger hence more intake. box is deeper, so getting more air rammed in ! direct feed from drivers headlight to turbo inlet would be best result hence battery relocation ! I am not a fan of the passenger side mounting of airbox's.too close to gutter where wate3r lies.... our FG does seem to pull a bit harder but I wouldn't say hugley different but a bit more noisey.

we've done 25k in 8mths, we fully expect 150k over 5yrs in our FG, one of the reasons we bought was the legendary reliability !

I believe(personally) that it would be similar to timing being same across the board. I also wondered about a similar thing as I had a Vtec typeR dc22 and wondered if an HKS v-tec controller would help the ford any ?

Hmmmm yeah about that service history, I put it somewhere but we're moving house and can't find it......yeah right ! maybe I am being sceptical but hey, All too common for people to use that line when the K's have had a major haircut ! How much K's till the seatbelts wear the B pillar ? does it have aftermarket steering wheel or gearstick or replaced ? what condition are the bolsters and pedal rubbers ?

good write up there smoke ! I will replace the trailing arm bushes (blades as you aussies call them ) and see what happens ! It's horrific but I tend to slip the clutch in smoother now but having a manual with launch control means it should be able to be dumped fairly hard and not tramp!

I know Mark mate but I try and have fun doing it ! and so ya know....the 6 speed FG isn't as easy to drive as a jap motor ! possibly tune related but not as smooth !

love the rev limiter (not on FG though, it has launch control, whole new love for that ) my skyline would sit at the lights, amber light on limiter (dump clutch on green )..............b,b,b,,b,b,b,b,b,b,b,b,b,,bang ! dump clutch and plumes of smoke and sideways we went ! loved it !

tein + edfc still wouldnt make up another 4500 ! love the green suspenders ! I used to have them and a set of KYB adjustable shocks on my drag impreza ! gotta agree though, serious lack of info in first post !

our fg is 8mths old and done 25k already ! love it !

probably still stock. buy it tune it , have fun ! the ZF is a nice box ! not as nice as a MANual though !

V8's need 100hp to get same drag times as turbo from recent local lads times. still lovely beast ! I am interested in whether simon tuned it in person or sent a pretuned xcal over to you ?? I thought that was a no no !

any VN/VP/VR/VS/VT/VY I see locally are all pimped out with *beep* chromies, doof doof, unit stickers etc....horrible ! I rarely see any EA/ED/EF/EL/AU as bad as these . I have seen a BA with the above type of outfittings but it's a b ig fat smelly looking grommit that drives it near the kids school. dragging its ass on the drivers side she is so fat !
