Will try and organise something for the 17th June then. If Tab isn't keen I'll give it a crack. How do you link google maps to here? Thinking something similar to the last cruise meeting in Currumbin but then heading out Currumbin Valley onto Tomewin Rd. then back up through Nunimbah valley and finishing at Oxenford. I'll go for a drive this week to suss out road conditions, Best route and a pub for lunch. The route I'm looking at is 157k's 2hrs 40min of driving. Can be extended. Any ideas welcome.
How long is a piece of string? Heard of some being stuffed after 30 odd thou. Others are still going strong after 200. Too many factors to give a def. answer. All it takes is a blocked oil supply line to kill a turbo.
Hey boost69 have you cleaned the throttle body yet? That would be the first thing I would do as it is pretty easy and will only cost you about $15 for a can of throttle body and carby cleaner. Doesn't hurt to do it every few months anyway.
Has more to do with exhaust flow than actuator size I think. A more free flowing exhaust will create more spool and overboost if the wastegate isn't ported to compensate.
If you were going to go 4" you'd be better off getting a custom system fitted as they tuck them up so they don't hang down as far as the Xforce system. I have a custom 4" on my BF and it doesn't knock at all whereas my Xforce 3 1/2" system was a PITA always trying to adjust it to stop it knocking. Mine in mild was $2k.
65000 should be allright if services have been kept up. The earls is def worth it as it flows better and is alot easier to clean/replace. Just make sure you get the one with the screw fittings not the crimped fittings as the crimped ones tend to leak.
Yep. from memory theres 2 screws and a 10mm nut holding it in. just undo them and push it out from in the boot. Could be 3 nuts. Can't remember. I know theres 3 of them anyway.
