  1. Hi, Just wondering if you have any recommendations for a business to do my wheel alignments/suspension work know that you have shut your Penrith section? Preferrably in the Penrith/Blacktown sort of area.
  2. Pretty sure its E10 not 100% but was beside a Highway xr6t yesterday at a caltex and he was filling with E10.
  3. ive been quite impressed with sinclair ford they found a split intercooler pipe a week after I took it to a sydney tuner to have a look over it as I felt it had a split pipe but was assured it was all fine and the noise was normal. Went to sinclair to get a coolant flush and got a call that it had a split pipe, and the noise was gone.... I dont use that tuner no more but will use sinclair.
  4. had my rda rotors and remsa pads for 10,000kms know and love them no issues other than a s%&t load of dust from the remsa pads.
  5. try the gulf western oil seems to get good reviews
  6. had the exact same thing in my BA auto (without the engine light) .It was idling at 2000rpm and would slowly drop to 1000rpm and stay there and it also smelt fuelly but I turned it off and restarted it and it was fine and it never did it again Had it cecked at CMS and had a few rich and lean codes also but it wasnt the 02 sensor. Drove it for another 8 months without issue and sold it and the new owner has never had it happen either for the year he has owned it...
  7. being a f6 unlikely to have had the lights on the roof, all f6's I've seen have been unmarked.
  8. krav magar training is heavy contact, its a form of street fighting its nothing like a martial arts karate etc. the training I do is real world stuff scenarios etc not uncommon to come out of a traning session with a black eye or a split lip bleeding nose. did boxing as a teen but this is heaps better in the real world. But totally agree with some of the martial arts.
  9. this sort of garbage is why I took up krav magar 2 years ago, the world is going mad I do near a 1000kms a week in sydney traffic, thankfully ive never had to use what I have learnt as I avoid it at all costs. I dont even beep at people anymore unless its really dangerous. Had a guy today texting on the M4 and he ran me off into the break down lane I beeped and he wanted to pull over and fight me I just kept driving.
  10. Wow!! that's awful. So glad when I had my old BA tuned I used a siemens pump as it was quiet as the stock pump.
  11. Sure did much to my wifes embarrassment. Rocked up and asked if I could get a valuation on the g6et to trade for the xr6 t I was interested in. The manager came out saw me turned around and walked back in.....
  12. when I was looking at upgrading my bamkii xr6 turbo I saw a 2009 XR6T for sale at Winford at Windsor NSW. Stopped in to have a look the wife liked it and asked to take it for a test drive and was told no unless im going to buy it, I said how do I know if I dont drive it and his reply was you will once you drive it. I asked to speak to the manager and he said that the car was too powerful for me to drive ( I had a tuned BA with 270 rwkw) which I pointed out but no go, it was also insinuated that we couldnt afford it either. 2 weeks later I bought a g6et but more than likely would of bought that one if I had been aloud to test drive it.

    Remsa Pads

mine isnt a daily normally but the wifes company car had a issue and she needed to drive it all week, around 500kms and the g6et rims are near black and she isnt hard on the car. She could be the driver for Miss Daisey

    Remsa Pads

I have just clocked up 500kms on RDA slotted rotors and remsa pads. Alot more dusty than standard pads but with the rotors what a difference to stock pads and rotors heaps better braking. And so far no brake squeel.
  15. Be careful with the generic tunes, take it to a tuner to get the AFRs checked just to be sure. Just because it hasn't shot a rod yet doesnt mean that it isnt one good boost away from doing it.
  16. I had one of those Allianz warranties with my last car a bamkii turbo and the first time I tried to use it which was valve springs they wanted me to pull the head off and send it to some expert to have it tested before they would okay the repairs, I just paid for it second time was a new starter motor which went through but they wanted to negotiate the price with the repairer. I decided to mod after that and forget the warranty.
  17. that's my concern its okay while im around home I can just swap it over but as I said if im down in melbourne or happen to have a issue where I cant get the stock intake it may be a issue. I know its very unlikley to happen but we all know Murphys law.
  18. Thanks for that I will look into it...
  19. I was going to get a herrod CAI but ford have advised me that they may deny warranty on the engine if I have this fitted. I know I could remove it and put the stock one back onif the car has a issue but that's not always possibe if im away interstate or something so it will have to wait till the warranty and ford extended warranty runs out.
  20. Id say one of the pulley bearings, my G6ET has done this once a few weeks back only for a few seconds the car was warm.Took it to ford they said that it was more than likely a pulley but just keep an eye on it and bring it back when its doing it and it hasnt done it again. My old Ba MKII turbo did it as well.
  21. actually saw him again the other day...
  22. Couldnt answer that, your best bet is to get it diagnosed by a mechanic who knows these cars check the sponsor section for one nearest you...
  23. Normal I asked the same thing when I bought mine they dont have a lamp if it drops oil pressure it comes up in the centre lcd display between your speedo and tacho.
  24. By the way champ Autotech arent my mates they are my mechanic, and a tuner who knows these cars might fix it in 10mins and she might stuff around for weeks looking and be no closer to fixing the issue.
