Its not worth the waste of fuel.....

Yes the M4 just keeps on giving. ran into the tool in the Vess wagon yesterday on Mulgoa Rd. He remembered me and him and his mate thought they would be smart. Lets just say they will look the other way in future.
-
one of the pulleys either idler or tensioner maybe. I had the same issue as you and it was the tensioner.

A bit off topic but what is it with bogans in VESS wagons. I had a tool tonight on the M4 near northern rd he was infront and everytime the traffic cleared he would nail it and take off any way got to Mulgoa and he took off again blowing smoke and probaly would of been near 200km/h and I was just hitting resume on the cruise to 120 km/h and when he got caught again and I caught up he put on his hazards and was gesturing out the window at how good he was he beat me.30 secs later the traffic nearly stops in the outside lane and a fool in a astra nearly rear ends me at over a 100km/h. He continued to blame me for it OMG I hate the M4 after 5pm.

dr buff is very good , but try this guy he is as good if not better Reflect Effect at North Parramatta or Definitive Car Detailing at Lane Cove does amazing work but none of these guys are cheap. Ive seen work from all 3 on alot of different cars and they are at the top of there game.

Does it look like a milkshake? It might be the start of the transmission oil mixing with the coolant. Do a search on Milkshake in fg falcons. Also is it a 06 bf or FG ? If your suss I would walk, as there are heaps of XR6T's around.

With clay bars make sure you use a proper clay bar lubricant like dodo juice or the like, not spray detailer and use a lot of lubricant. If you don't it may cause marring. Also if you are going to use a buffer and you haven't used one before get a Random Orbital buffer not a rotary as at best you will have a car that looks okay in shade but god awful in sunlight and worst you will breach the clear coat. A RO is pretty safe and nearly impossible to damage the paint.

I had something like this, its happened a few times. It first happened and was there for a few hours then disappeared for 3 months then one day it was back and it hung around for 6 days but it was over the xmas break 2013. Took it to a suspension specialist and it wasn't coning from the suspension but a somrthing in the body on the front passenger side. I traced it back to high pressure washing my wheel arches, both times the day before I had done the wheel arches. And occasionally in real heavy rain it will squeak for a little bit after but very faintly. So I haven't pressure washed since then and it hasn't come back.

Its right mate. I spoke to a lawyer mate and he checked with consumer affairs and ford himself and they would have to warrant the box if it failed. They would try to get out of it but there would be no court that would rule against it. As long as it was installed by a qualified mechanic/transmission specialist and OEM fluid was used, and you have receipts for this. Also you would have to have perfect service history for coolant flushes as well with receipts. He did say they would more than likely fight it, and it could take months to resolve. I went the route of a PWR one but.

Like them but my wife has said I will loose respect for you if you drive a golf. Mother in law has a Golf R hence her feelings.

Take it back to Spiro he will sort it out.

Because the BMW ones have been known to fail as well. Obviously not to the same extent as the Ford units. Got this from a Aussie BMW engineer.

Duragloss leather cleaning kit. You wont buy it at supercheap or the like. Try care care products this stuff kills megs and the rest.

Ive run ford mineral 15w-40, 5w-40 synthetic havoline, nulon 10w-40 full syn, 10w-40 penrite racing and 15w-40 semi syn penrite and never had a single noise period. I run the penrite racing 10w-40 exclusively know and its as quiet as a mouse.

I personally think 15000kms is way too far for a turbo car to go between services. I do mine every 7500kms and I try to take it to a tuner for the services but I cant always so sometimes it goes to autotech sometimes ford sometimes another guy who was a BMW specialist.

Zf Whine In Between Gear Changes After Service.

Mine was done by a tuner and it was fine just 200ml low which is nothing but makes a difference in the ZF. They offered to look at it but it was easier for me to take it to a local trans specialist. -

Check oil level. Mine did this on initial acceleration from a stop when cold. Took it to a transmission specialist and it was 200ml low on oil, they topped it up and all quiet. Bit of advise stick to transmission specialists. -
He could of never asked actually I might ask next service, he did a throttle body clean on the fg might of done it to that.

Nope just adjusted the tune. 95% of people would of been fine with it the way it was as it was very minor miss and they tried to eliminate it but it was still there and I wanted it perfect. It was 3+ years ago on my old BA and I felt the car was smoother after Autotech tune. I just used Springwood car care for a service on my FG G6ET (which is stock) they were fine but had minimal exposure to the Barra, like known issues ,inlet manifold tightening etc. So ive gone back to Autotech as I prefer to pay a bit extra for the customer service, and I work 2 mins from them know and I get my car back when I need it on time every time, and on the 1 time there was a small issue the car was straight back in and fixed immediately. I rate those 3 tuners highly I just rate Autotech a touch higher.
-
Ive had tunes done by 3 Sydney tuners Tunehouse, CMS and Autotech and lets just say the car ran its best after the Autotech tune by far, and the customer service was light years ahead as well. Nothing wrong with the other 2 but they just never nailed it. First 2 couldn't iron out a miss at idle but Spiro did and the tune was way smoother, and it was right first time. Your right but no one is perfect but I base my opinion on what Ive personally seen and I have been to Springwood Car Care for servicing and they were okay but had a limited knowledge of the barra.
-
Just remember Springwood Car Care have minimal experience with the Barra engine, and yes Autotech aren't the cheapest but most professionals at the top of there game aren't cheap. Ive been to springwood car care as they were closer for me but realised they had very little knowledge of the barra engine and went back to Autotech.
-
I know springwood car care and they are very good and have some very quick cars come out of there shop but I would take it to a tuner who knows these cars back the front either Autotech or CMS. Either of those two have a awful lot more experience with the XR6T which will be needed to sort out your issues. Either will sort you out with no BS.
-
I ran this on my last oil change 4000kms and its as quiet as a mouse, no different to the 10-40 ten tenths racing.
-
What I found was a city car always had damage underneath scraps and stuff but I looked at a few country cars and they were in much better condition overall. So if you can check the log books and see where it was serviced and it will advise you on where it was based. I personally wouldn't buy one as I have 2 mates who are cops and they say no gutter to big or dip to deep.
-
Spiro is one of the best tuners but his customer service is second to none.
