  1. it was the tensioner on mine Sorry forgot to put that in the first post...
  2. I had the same issue swore blind it was from the rocker cover it turned out to be a pulley. only did it when hot and only periodically. Took the tuner 2 days for it to make the noise for him but changed the pulley never made the sound again
  3. If your going to come to sydney go see Joe at CMS and Spiro @ Autotech these guys are the best of the best.
  4. that's right if you buy a new car its from date of sale/ first registration, my g6et in jan 10 manufacture but was purchased in april 10 so the warranty starts from that date..
  5. fg warranty from new 3yrs or 100,000km from date of sale. the kms wouldn't worry me as at least its always been warmed up seems to be hwy kays. for the right price might be a good buy.
  6. mine did this after my tune on my last turbo. When cold it started fine without priming and warm you had to prime it for like 2 secs then turn the key otherwise you would crank it for 10secs or so. My tuner played with the tune as I also had a idle issue and it fixed it so it must of been in the tune, I also has a siemens aftermarket pump.
  7. My fg had a intermitant dodgy idle Autotech serviced the throttle body and its alot better not perfect but better
  8. Is the car in the garage? If so the concrete floor and enclosed area magnifies the sound my old ba sounded so loud in the garage move it outside and the noise was half as bad.
  9. Maybe valve springs mine did it after WOT and coming to a complete stop it would idle really rough for a bit then clear
  10. my ba did this sometimes if I left it for a few weeks I would push the throttle full and crank it for 5 secs then restart but on a few occasions it would still start never worried about it.
  11. Check the advertiser section under Cresent Motorsport he is selling the GTX 35/82r very cheap. Best to get on his section and ask some questions.
  12. No mine only did it when hot and only when I put it in park and it did it for a minute or so.
  13. If wanting a E85 tune Cresent or Autotech are the pick of the bunch by far.
  14. spotted smurf6 at tempe tyres this morning, nice ute...
  15. DJR only 3 cars next year Johnson, fiore and Owen. Dicks old partner Charlie is taking the other license to FPR giving them 4 cars. Moffat will be driving a Nissan next year.
  16. When I got my g6et in march I swore by bp as I ran it in my tuned BA and it was great. Ive had a issue with a dodgy idle in the fg from day 1 and had it checked by ford and a tuner nothing wrong no vac leaks etc. 2 weeks ago filled up with vortex 98 and within a hour or so a perfect idle, after that tank tried ultimate again and within a few minutes the idle issue returned, coincidence maybe when this tank of bp is gone ill try the caltex 98 again.
  17. its good having an array of tunes if your on a trip and you cant get 98 fuel flash in a 95 tune and put 95 in and yes this did happen to me the servo had run out of 98. I had 3 tunes race, daily and a 95. ran around on the daily and used the race when I felt like some fun Spiro, Joe and Jim are the best in the business hence why you pay a little more a few hundred is nothing when a new engine is $7000+. .
  18. The average cameras only target heavy vehicles in NSW
  19. I have used them over 10 years ago, top notch workmanship back then.
  20. Autotech or Cresent Motorsport.
