Ok so heres the run down! I bought a ba xr6 turbo with 48,000km, auto, about 6 weeks ago. drives beautiful. Other than a noisy power steering pump! I had her on a hoist.. noticed a leak coming from the oil return pipe (turbo flange to sump) Im a mech engineer and my reasoning is this...... Replace the gaskets with organic compared to factory stainless steel and to be extra careful throw on a smear of oil and heat resistant gasket glue! Ok so I did all that! put it back up.. let it set for a few hrs and started her up!... andddddd wow, its leaking more than before. I wasnt sure of the torque spec of the bots but I did them tight enuf to compress! guys there is a thread on this but it basically says nothing. PLEASE, IM BEGGING, CAN ANYONE HERE HELP? Please!
